We live in Washington, DC but have family out in Cali. We looked up some flower shops that are local to deliver birthday flowers 2 years running and Capri has blown us out of the water both years. 2023 we were a bit more prepared and able to order online ahead of time. We chose a prepicked arrangement (purple ones) and they were beautiful! This arrangement was $113.12 ($15 delivery charge). 2024 we were not as prepared and called the day of and was so happy when they were able to do same day delivery! I booked over the phone and chose the "florist's pick, standard arrangement". They did such a great job last year, I trusted they'd do a great job and love letting people have creative freedom. This set exceeded our expectations and was beautiful (orange arrangement). This arrangement was $80.80 ($20 delivery in that price). I'm not sure what delivery is like however the flowers always come hydrated and beautiful. I've dealt with other companies that they arrived droopy and old looking. 10/10 recommend the florist pick, they usually will use what's in season and looks the best. Wow!!! I got tired of ordering flowers through online flower places and NOT getting what I wanted. Found Capri flowers via Yelp so I gave them a try. I got a call the same day I ordered and asked if it was okay to substitute the flowers as some were not in season. So I said yes. They indicated that they would send me a pic before delivery. I just got a picture of the flowers and they are BEAUTIFUL! They look better than what was on their website. I will only buy flowers from here for all my OC flower delivery. Came in last minute on Mother's Day like I do every year (gotta stop doing this lol) and the place seemed much more open, very clean, and was bustling with new friendly faces. We told them what our budget was and they were able to accommodate our order EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE SUPER BUSY!! It appears that they have new owners, they are very friendly and did really nice work. They paid particular attention to match the flowers with the vase we brought in, even put a cute little bow around it as well. We were able to pick up the flowers less than an hour later. This was originally going to be a 3 star review but a quick phone call made it 5 stars. Picked up a sympathy plant my wife ordered the previous evening. When she got home she was unhappy with the arraignment. It was very sparse and looked nothing like the pictures. She called the shop and explained how unhappy she was and the woman on the phone said bring it down we'll fix it for you. We got there in ten minutes and she had already made a new arraignment that was much fuller, better looking and definitely felt like we got our money's worth. All of this was done 20 minutes before they close. Great customer service. They took care of us no questions asked and did it with a smile. read more

Valentine's day is saved! An overactive delivery confirmation e-mail system certainly gave me a scare tonight, as I thought... "oh no... not again!!!" Last year I'd made the mistake of using 1-800-Flowers... well... due to a "shipping error" my wife received no Valentine's flowers last year until I bought her flowers (again) on the 15th. As you can imagine, I was skeptical about even ordering online to have flowers delivered again on Valentine's Day, but I have limited free time with work and an ugly commute, and was forced to place an online order again this year. I wish I was able to get the name of the man who helped me today to thank him by name. I placed an order a week in advance and upon arrival I was notified that they were completely sold out of baby breaths to add into the arrangement. The gentlemen immediately informed me that he can add some diamonds in the roses or add some other things in the arrangement to add some accents of white into it. This company is actually such a joke and a scam. I ordered a flower delivery on Feb. 7 for Valentine's Day and received an email order confirmation that my order had been received. I should be good to go, right? Oh how I was so so wrong. Valentine's Day comes around and I'm patiently waiting for my mom to let me know she got her flowers. I hadn't heard anything from her and it was already 5pm (the shop closes at 6). I know Valentine's Day is a busy day for flower delivery so I wanted to give the company the benefit of the doubt. So I called around 5/530pm to see if I could get an update on the flowers. I called a total of 4 times and no one answered. And come 6pm, the flowers STILL weren't delivered. If this was the case, why did I receive an email saying they had been delivered at 6:30pm and there was nothing at my mom's front door??? You could imagine how angry and sad I was because my mom didn't receive anything special on that day. I FINALLY was able to get ahold of someone from the shop THE NEXT MORNING. I told the lady on the phone my flowers were never delivered. She said "oh really? do you want me to deliver them today?" ABSOLUTELY NOT. That defeats the purpose of having flowers sent on Valentines. I asked for a refund and she said she would have to confirm that they weren't delivered and would call me back. One hour later, did I receive a call back? No. So I called again. They told me the refund was still being processed. I asked how long that would take. She said one hour (makes no sense that it should take that long). So I waited an hour for a call. Still nothing. I finally called back 3 hours later and they said "oh yeah it went through." THANKS FOR THE UPDATE? I demanded that proof of refund be sent to me because clearly their word means nothing. This place is an absolute joke with horrible customer service. How do you not realize an order never got delivered? The flowers are obviously just sitting at the shop. And why did no one apologize profusely for the mistake? And why was no justification given as to why they weren't delivered??? I had to pry that information out of them and all they could come up with was "uhmmmm probably because there weren't enough drivers." How do you not know the reason?? Especially because multiple people had already complained on Yelp about flowers not being delivered this Valentines Day. Absolutely ridiculous. And to think I wouldn't even have gotten a refund unless I called MULTIPLE TIMES. Save your money and go somewhere else for flowers if you want to make sure your order gets delivered. read more

Terrible customer service. Ordered over 1 week ago, no return calls even when I have called DOZENS OF TIMES to see what is going on with delivery. It was basically 6 PM today with no confirmation of delivery or tracking. I had to ask my girlfriend to physically pick up HER OWN flowers because I was unsure whether they would be delivered based on past bad reviews. And guess what? My girlfriend walks into the store with the phone ringing non-stop and not a single employee picking up to see if they can speak to a customer briefly about orders or if they were to still be delivered today. No information on their website, yelp or anywhere else about how late they're going to deliver. The only information I had was it would be delivered today 2/14. My daughter just got a promotion at work today and I wanted to send some flowers to celebrate this special occasion. It was a last minute thing, and I'm more of a planner, but the picture of the bouquet I wanted looked so pretty I thought I would order from here after checking them out online. I fully understand that 'pictures' are just that, and that they can't always create the same bouquet, but I was really disappointed in the few number of roses in the bouquet. It was mostly carnations, which are inexpensive. For $80 one would expect a few more roses. Exquisite is what I think of when I think of Capri Flowers. They have an amazing team of talented individuals who do amazing work, from what I saw at a few wedding events I have attended.
