When I walked in, I wasn't sure if you ordered at counter or seat yourself or what. The server announced fairly quickly that it was seat wherever I wanted and he would take my order. Good to know. Lots of things in the menu I didn't recognize by name (would be nice to have photos of the food near each different item. But I went with the Dóner Kebab, which is basically thin sliced marinated meat placed in a thin bread (like a flour tortilla) with some pickled veg and it has Tzatziki sauce in a little cup that you can pour or dip. The meat was tender and flavorful along with the pickled veggies, made for a balanced 'sandwich'/wrap. I also tried both kinds of Baklava and each were good, but I like the original pistachio ones best. The server was nice and explained anything on the menu I had questions about. He was also from Turkey and was very knowledgeable about the food and culture. The atmosphere was open and welcoming, lots of Turkey images on the walls and the hanging lamps were cute. Saw this place while wandering Church Street and I'm glad I stopped in! Very beautiful decor inside with tile and the lamps. Good amount of seating inside and outside for the space. I sat outside and my food came out within 10-15 minutes after ordering. I got the döner kebab and the beef/lamb was so good. To wash it down I got a pomegranate tea. Would definitely recommend. Also fun to people watch if you sit outside. read more

Service is okay. Not the friendliest or quickest but does the job. Food was divine. Had the marinated chick pea salad and deluxe pide. The pide is great for two people. Well cooked and I liked that it had three flavors so you can try a bit of everything. Lamb and sucuk had great flavor. The marinated chickpeas was the star of the show. Humble ingredients elevated with a great balance of spice and lemon. Decor of the restaurant is spot on. Service good but slow; kitchen not keeping up when more than a few customers. Beautiful tile everywhere, clean and sparkling. Had the chicken on lavash and that was quite good, tasty. Could use a bit more filling. Chicken wings were cooked nicely but needed more spice. Fries that came with were cold and soggy, salad was wilted. The potato was great with just cheese and butter. The toppings were expensive and didn't add much. A ground beef topping might be better than the sausage which tasted like a hot dog. Corn, pickled cabbage add a dollar for EACH! So, food is okay, needed stronger flavors. Desserts seem overly expensive but may try baclava next time. Order carefully and you'll get out for less than $100 (3). Fairly new so will try again when they have settled, and got license for oven! read more

I had never had Turkish food before but oh boy was I missing out. I was blown away by the galaxy of flavor packed into just one of the dishes. The food here was so tasty. We started with some babaganoush, with main dishes of chicken wings and lahmacun along with an excellent glass of red wine. The Kumpir (basically a loaded baked potato with interesting toppings) was SOOOOO good. I loved that you could see all the topping options in advance behind a window and they had little papers where you could make your selections before ordering. I got mine with pickled cabbage, the dill sauce, tabbouleh, and pickles (it comes with cheese). The potato was HUGE. Then I had to narrow my options down from their dessert case where everything looked amazing. My daughter and I got the baklava (of course) and a profiterole - both were delicious! The service was reasonably fast and friendly and the decor is beautiful!!! I love the tiled tables and the colorful hanging lamps. I can't wait to come back and try the flatbreads! This is definitely one of my family's new favorite places to eat on Church st. read more

I was truly lead here by my nose tonight as I was walking down church st and was not disappointed! Wow! What a gem of a find. I think this is a new place. I historically have LOVED Turkish food so was thrilled to order their chickpea wrap--- omg so so good. Absolutely delicious and flavorful. As I ate it, I was reflecting on just how boring my recent recipes have been! The place was very clean, the service friendly, and the owner very warm and joyful. The decor is beautiful.
