Highly recommended! We went to Capo Fireside based on all the positive reviews on Yelp and are glad we did. Mike is amazing. He came and measured the dimensions of the fireplace twice, gave us ideas on how to dispose off the existing insert, and recommended various contractors for electrical, plumbing and finishing. The installation crew of Omar and Tony were great. They were on time, took great care during the installation and cleanup and were very helpful. The insert looks beautiful and we are extremely satisfied with Mike and the team at Capo.

Mike, Roger and rest of the Capo crew are extremely knowledgeable, helpful, patient and a joy to work with.

Mike in Sales is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and patient. Roger in delivery and installation is reliable and his crew knows what they are doing. We ended up with two fantastic fireplaces, one for the outside living space and one for the living room. Thanks Capo!

We can't finish fireplace wall and stuck with this horrible fireplace

We are currently dealing with a years long ordeal on one off our two expensive top of the line fireplaces we purchased for our 2021 new home construction. We bought a Town & Country for our downstairs living room and an Ortal fireplace for our master. We have had to demo the drywall 3 times around our Ortal after the unit bangs and knocks all night after using it. Capo Fireside installed this unit. Since they have not found an answer they have gone silent. This is a $16,000 piece of equipment we cannot use as it wakes us up throughout the night with the cooling metal popping hours later. No one has provided a solution or answered our last 7 emails after the Ortal people claimed it wasn't an Ortal issue. We have an incomplete wall: no mantel, no stone and no paint that we stare at every day in our master bedroom. On the contrary, the Town & Country fireplace is wonderful. Very frustrated customer currently experiencing no end in sight to our construction site in our bedroom. Update: We have provided multiple videos that are time stamped at various times in the night, like 3am, for example, where we are awakened by thuds and pops. There are over 30 emails, some even at 7am the next day after using the fireplace at 10pm the night before. Despite our evidence, both Capo and Ortal continue to claim these sleep- disrupting sounds hours after the unit is used are "completely normal". We have been ignored for 6 days of emails seeking help to resolve this. The head of West Coast sales for Ortal, Sean, is included on all these as well. He claims the unit was installed orreclty but did not peronsally inspect the cavities behind and above the unit, despite our contractor giving the go ahead to open up the wall. We have been left with no choice but to seek legal action, which was then, in gaslight fashion, used against us by Fabian at Capo, who claims his boss forbid him from responding to us and refuses to help us. I will be uploading photos and videos of this whole ordeal to various sites warning customers that you may be left with a $7,000 unit you cannot use unless you don't like to sleep. Every other person I've shown these videos to agrees that this racket we have to endure is not normal. A fellow capo customer uses a fireplace in her bedroom every evening and says her fireplace (another brand) does not sound like this at all and agrees its horrible. However, she couldn't get capo on the phone for months to deal with a maintenance issue with their downstairs fireplace. The installer, who sells these fireplaces, should not leave a customer high and dry like this.

If you are in the Bay Area and in the market for a gas fireplace or other fireplace insert, this is the place for you! Excellent customer service, wonderful products and the staff is so pleasant and helpful! I highly recommend talking to Mike Gorrono. He will get you all setup and he will make sure you are a satisfied customer. And they have Reasonable prices to boot. We got a fire place insert from them: D1-30 w/ remote control. Yes i said REMOTE CONTROL! It was installed in our living room, the main hang-out space. It dropped into the old/existing brick fireplace, and it has changed our lives for the better! Looks great, woks beautifully and is much more cost effective to heat the living room than the entire house. I have nothing but good things to say about Capo Fireside. Please go visit them

It is so nice to write a positive review of a local business. I ordered a prefab concrete mantle and was told it would take two to three weeks to get it. Guess what? It came in on time. When Capo called me to let me know it was in I told them that it would take me a couple of days to find someone to help me off loaf it at my house. They immediately offered to deliver it to me and showed up thirty minutes later. It was installed today and I couldn't be happier about how it looks. Would highly recommend anyone to do business with Capo Fireside. Thanks.

I am happy to give Capo Fireside five stars. Their business in North Concord was easy to find, off Hwy 4. The showroom has plenty of working fireplaces to view. And our salesman, Mike, was helpful and relaxed and knowledgeable. He has plenty of experience, and I really appreciate that. He helped us determine what would work best for us, he came to our home to take measurements, helped us set up the plumber for gas line and electrician to get the plug-in ready. Everything was done in a timely manner and each person did what they said they would do, in the time frame given. I love a well-run business! We bought the Bellevue 32 gas insert. I love it, and the pretty frame around it. It gives good heat and a warm, inviting ambiance - all at the push of a button! The only problem ... I don't ever want to leave my house!!

Poor service unless you buy from them. Once they get the $250 for the 15 minute cleaning, they don't want to know you afterwards.

It honestly breaks my heart to have to give this place a negative review. I had such high hopes in…read morethe beginning. As someone who is newly out after years of religious trauma, they were who I turned to first. I had wanted to volunteer there. I received no response even though I reached out on several occasions. When I tried to sign up for women of the rainbow, it was questioned why someone my age would need their help. I was told they were not a dating service. I wish I never would have gone there. It's hard knowing that this was my first attempt at belonging and I was so horribly rejected. I really hate to say this, but I would say queer women 25 to 49 should steer clear of this place. Especially if you are overweight and nuerodivergent. There has to be a safe place for us. I'm still looking for my place, but it's for sure not here.

Six years later (2025), I went by to post a 3x5 card and I was told that I needed to register, which meant I would get emails about events they are holding. Seemed reasonable I guess, and I was hoping the atmosphere had improved, so I registered. I made the mistake of attending two of their senior womens meetings. These meetings are supposed to be open to anyone in the community. While the first was okay, but the second was horrible. At the second one, a new attendee, a lesbian, who seemed in a bad mood, started on a tirade against transgender people. Five minutes of bile and hate later, I was hoping someone would object, but to my amazement the other two lesbians in the group there encouraged her and supported her. I should have objected but I felt the hatred expressed was too overwhelming and I decided there just was no advantage to objecting and I just left. I did not believe anything I said would be received well as I there was three of them and one of me, and they were all in agreement As far as I am concerned this place is a bastion of hate and bigotry and I have no interest being anywhere near them. Rainbow my eye....
