why would you buy from anyone else? ill tell you why.... these outfit conducts themselves the opposite of what they portray in their commercials. salesman blatantly lied to me about using subcontractors. the job they did was good but, they sent riff raff into my home that broke 2 pictures and smashed a statue and tried to hide it. on their phones the whole time and couldnt communicate with them very well. they never followed up on the job they did. used car salesman tactics. i didnt even price the job because i wanted a professional outfit and respectable company to come into my home. i got the opposite. dont bother with these guys. they take the money and run. read more

I was looking to get the floors redone, sort of, when I mentioned to a friend and she just recently got her floors done from here. She told me to only use Charlie. I called Charlie and he came out the next day to measure. Then he gave us a price for the 24 X 24 and the 24 X 48. The larger format is more money but we really wanted the larger one. Charlie was sympathetic to our needs and went back to the dealer and installer or somehow was able to shave off a little bit of money so we were able to get the larger ones we really wanted. We went into the store to confirm our choice because they have SOOO many to choose from. I knew I wanted Matte porcelain because the photos my friend showed me of hers were absolutely stunning. My husband and I picked out 3 or 4, then narrowed it down to 2 in the store. We were offered to be able to bring both tiles home but we were pretty sure the one we wanted so we just brought the one. The timing was quicker than they originally told us, but they held on to them for us until we were able to have them done. We stayed in our camper over at John Prince park for them to remove old tiles and install as we have animals and I work from home. They were finished quickly and did a great job! Love Capitol Carpet!! If you're in need of a new carpet, call Charlie at the Royal Palm store! I sent him a picture of a 2 year old carpet made from recycled plastic bottles that needed replacing. After listening to my want list, he dropped samples off after work and examined the existing carpet. I called him frequently over the next 2 weeks with questions. Both samples were made in the USA! We are stunned by how pleasant and gratifying the experience was. The carpet is beautiful and beyond our expectations. Charlie is wonderful, professional, and vaccinated. Thank you Charlie! This is the third time I have used CC&T over the past 15 years. They have done carpet and tile in my old house and they just did the luxury vinyl plank in my recent home. They showed up on time with a crew of SIX!! Removed tile and carpet and had the whole job done by 530pm the same day. They team was professional and continued to work even after I bought them lunch (they did eventually stop and eat). Did a good job of clean up and checked in with me if they had questions over any areas. My only small issue is that they did scuff the walls in a few places. The only reason I am not making this a big deal is I am painting my home within the next year and its going to be covered anyways. But otherwise I would not hesitate to recommend them. read more

5 star establishment! We stoped in the Royal Palm Beach location and were greeted by Carl. What a gentleman, we told him the look we wanted and what our budget was. He showed us samples in our price range and never tried to up sell and explained the differences between different types of flooring. We chose what worked best for our home. Within a few days of placing our order we received a call from Dave to schedule our installation. He was crystal clear in what we needed to do before the installers arrived. The installers Carlos and his crew called me that morning and arrived right on time. They moved all furniture, removed carpet and installed our new floors and moved all my furniture back. They were polite and courteous and so hardworking I had to order in lunch for them. These guys were so efficient they used the shop vac on concrete before putting down new flooring and after all was finished. They even blew off all the sawdust from my front porch and driveway. Terrible customer service. I went into the store thinking I would get better service than at a big box retailer. I made it very clear to the sales associate that I had to have the carpet installed right away for a new home listing and open house showing. I told them that it had to be in stock and available. He said he would make sure and to be on the safe side I selected 3 different carpets. I told them I would take any of the 3, it didn't matter which, it just had to be IN STOCK. I was assured it would not be a problem. I asked them what date the install would be and was told that I had to wait for the installer to call. After a few days of not hearing from the installer I called the sales associate back. They had the installer call me at which time I was told the carpet was not in stock. I called the sales associate back and went over our conversation that the only reason I purchased there was because he assured me it was in stock and would not be an issue. I told them I wished to cancel the order and was told that I would be charged a 30% cancellation fee because the carpet had to be ordered. How is it that the carpet had to be ordered when I was assured it was in stock? The listing of my home was delayed waiting for the carpet. Then when the installers came all they had to do was move 1 computer cabinet out of one of the rooms as I had moved everything else. It was the only piece I couldn't move by myself. The banged his finger and the cabinet into the room door while carrying it, dropped it while cursing up a storm and bent one of the door hinges of the cabinet. The cabinet door will no longer close. After the install was done I went in the rooms to look and while stepping on the threshold I got a nasty surprise of nails in my foot from the carpet strips. I didn't bother calling to complain, I just knew I would never do business with them again. I then received a follow up call from the mother. I explained her that I am a sales trainer for a major retailer with 3500+ retail stores. I told her that I was not happy with the situation of being told something was in stock in order to make a sale when they knew they could and would not deliver as promised. I suggested that her associates could use some better training in customer service (under promise & over deliver!). In sales you never lie to guests in order to make sale. It's never ok. She in turn, became very nasty and defensive. (I didn't even bring up the other issues with the cabinet or nails.) The whole point of follow up calls is to learn what you did right or could have done better. They made no offer to make me happy, an apology was all I wanted. I was never asked what could be done to remedy the situation. She could have cared less. A free bit of sales advice for you....When a customer is happy they tell 10 people, when they are unhappy, they tell 1,000 people. read more

To start off positively, the final product came out good, and the installer, Mario and his crew did a great job (so far...carpets only been laid for 3 weeks). However, in my opinion, that's where the 'good' stops. I had two main areas carpeted - all the bedrooms with one style of carpet, and the stairway with another type of carpet. I have two main beefs: 1) The install date, which was a main factor in choosing CC&T, was pushed back twice; and 2) the final waste factor for the stairway carpet is/was 89% (this is just the sections they left behind, not including the edge scraps and a few other smaller pieces they took with them). I had a couple other bids from separate companies, with the main other company, PS Flooring, being the runner-up. Their bid was a little over $1,000 less than CC&T, but the two main reasons we chose CC&T is because we liked the carpet styles a little more (probably why they were more expensive), and more importantly the install date they originally gave me (Dec 8th) was two days after I had some wood flooring installed in the non-carpeted rooms (completed on Dec 6th by Quantum Floors which did an excellent job!). Not to mention, we were leaving for a two week Xmas vacation out of state, so I wanted everything to be done before we left. So, on 11/29/17, I sat down with Charley Kelly to find out if the two styles of carpet were available, pricing, install availability, etc. At that time, he stated that both carpet styles were IN STOCK, and would be shipped to their local warehouse within a week, and that out of their 20 crews they have complete their installations, he wanted to make sure he could get 1 of 3 crews he stated he preferred (poor sales technique by the way), so therefore it would be Dec 8th before they were available. I said "great", and the price, while higher than the other flooring companies bids (the bids were all using carpet manufacturer Mohawk Industries), was not too high that it discouraged us away. On Dec 5th, I called Charley to confirm the install date. He stated something went wrong in production, and the carpet would be delayed at least another week. When asked why a carpet in stock needed to be produced, he attempted to use a bunch of jargon, and simply said it hasn't shipped yet. He called back a couple days later to say the carpet was done and being shipped already. He then stated the soonest he could install it was Dec 21st (another two weeks out). This was a big problem as we were leaving for our Xmas trip by then. I told him I wanted to cancel the install and asked for my deposit back, at which time he asked to give him the day to see if he could switch things around. Within 30 minutes, Charley called back and stated he could move the install date to before our Xmas trip. This told me that either I wasn't getting one of his "choice" crews, or someone was having their install date bumped back. I am a large loss general adjuster, and a home inspector, which means I have a construction background. In other words, I know how to measure carpet, install techniques, waste factors, etc. My stairway carpet measures 110 actual square feet. When Charley measured the room, he stated he had to order 228 SF of carpet - that's 107% waste factor. When I told him that didn't seem right, he stated that's how he figured it and he didn't want the installers to be short. Knowing that this was off, I told him I would trust his judgement and we would see after the fact. Well, after the fact, I was left with 98 SF of "waste" in the form of two large sections - again, this does not include the scraps waste. That's still 89% waste factor, which is ridiculously high as these are normal stairs, not spiral. As annoyed as I was of the waste factor, I figured I could at least get the left over sections binded so that I could use them as matching area rugs. The owner's wife, Loretta, called a couple weeks after the install to see if I was happy. I explained my two main beefs with nothing expected in return; however, then a few days later, Carl Green(e) leaves me a message from CC&T on a Sunday afternoon (1/7/18) requesting I measure the sections left behind so that he can determine if they measured wrong. I did as requested and today called him back with measurements as well as explained while I was disappointed, overall it wasn't the end of days and I was ready to move on. If CC&T would have simply left all alone after their first "customer service follow-up", I never would have wrote this review. However, Carl then proceeded to tell me that I was wrong concerning the waste on the stairway carpet, and that 89% waste can be expected for stairs. WRONG! The customer is not always right, but you do not have to have any construction background to know that waste that high means it wasn't ordered right, and at approx $7.35/SF, it adds up. At the end of the day, Carl is going to "pass my information on to the owner" I don't think I'll hold my breathe.... read more

My salesperson was knowledgeable and very helpful during the entire process explaining everything along the way. The installer did an incredible job! He was neat, cleaned up well and the floor looks awesome. I have done many projects in our home and this was the best experience out of all of them. read more

I'm very upset and disappointed with Capital Carpet from start to finish. Their salesmen gave me a price and promised a date then lied and ask for more money . the workman don't speak English so you can't talk or ask anything. the supervisor was trying to open my safe, I called the police and he had been moved off my property. They also didn't deliver all the tile I paid for only after I call to complain. I have pictures and lots of extra tile that they chopped up and waisted. They promised to credit my account for some of the left over and that Loretta the owners mom will call and take care of it. Never do business with this company!!! They made a mass of my bedrooms wall when they took off the baseboard , the never used any paper or plastic to protect my stuff. After seeing their commercials of "why would you buy from anyone else", I gave them a try. I can now give you 10 reasons why I WOULD buy from anyone else. I held off from negative comments until the issue was resolved because I was hoping for some kind of compensation for paying for a product in OCTOBER and it taking 4 months for it to be completed and installed properly. I basically paid full price for a defective product. It took 7 visits (all during COVID), juggling work schedules, and emptying the entire room, closet, drawers, mattress, TWICE to get it properly installed (which isn't 100% satisfactory but I no longer have the energy to point out the minor flaws). They will never see me walk in their door again and I hope if anyone considers buying from them, you do your research and shop around. read more

Yes, I rate Capitol Carpet & Tile "As good as it gets!" I recently recommended this business to a 95-yr old friend who, at her advanced age, wanted new carpet in her Century City condo! Charlie visited her home with samples no fewer than 5 times, and my friend just tracked me down in the Bahamas to tell me how unbelievably happy she was with her new carpet and, especially, the service she received from Charlie. When I called Charlie to provide him this feedback, he said that his father is 93 and that he knows how the elderly sometimes do not receive the special care and attention they need and deserve. This experience mirrors my own experience with Capitol as well. I am a retired architect, pretty picky about finishes and workmanship, and I have been so very pleased with the service and selection of tile and other flooring Charlie and his associates provide. His installers are real professionals. I look forward to having them help us again next year. read more

Be careful when you use the RPB store. We had a $6600.00 bathroom remodel done and it was a terrible job. It was to be a 2 week job and it turned out to be a 2 month job, sad. It caused a HUGE inconvenience to us and was way over priced. Who ever they hire as sub-contractors are just terrible. They finally made good on the job but it took numerous, tiring, aggravating. argumentive and stressful phone calls to get accomplished. And on top of it, none of the help spoke English. This is the USA, if you want to live here and work here your primary language needs to be english. I have to say once I dealt with the General Manager, Rodney DiFranco, he made sure things were met to our satisfaction. He was extremely professional and polite and met all our requirements. Just sad that the General Manager had to get involved to make good on a job. But thanks to Rodney is was completed correctly after 2 months. read more
