Great breakfast place. Variety menu selections. Very friendly staffs. I also like their chicken noodle soup. I recommend for everyone.

This is one of my favorite restaurants! If you want breakfast I recommend the chorizo burrito it is to die for! If you are going for lunch or dinner I always get the macronada with chicken and the egg lemon rice soup. Perfect combination and you get a lot for what you pay for. Our family has been enjoying the Capitol Café/Grecian Inn for years. Our kids are now grown and on their own, but they still make the Café one of their favorite pit stops for a hearty meal. You definitely get your moneys worth here!! We usually end up with at least one to-go box. I have also entrusted a baby shower and, most recently, a bridal shower to the Grecian Inn. Both events were absolutely fabulous! The food was great, and the venue is the best! The staff was 'Johnny on the spot' to make sure everyone was taken of. Guests thoroughly enjoyed everything. A big thank you goes to Joanna for coordinating it all and making sure everything was perfect!! Seated personnel need training. The old lady taking orders doesn't acknowledge younger personnel and will put others before you. Other than that food is decent. I don't deal with rude business so I won't be coming here again. read more

The food was delicious! Manager is very welcoming, kind, attentive. I called ahead for a reservation and gave my name. Upon arrival they gave my table away somehow which made no sense, and our party had to be split up. Then we were moved to a tight booth with a handicapped person and dirty highchair without a strap, so my baby could've slipped through. Our waitress gave mediocre service, didn't greet us or introduce herself when she walked up, it became known that we were her last table for the day...and it showed. It got slightly better, btw don't order any of the club meals. The amount of juice you receive is for a toddler or baby. Lastly the changing table in the restroom is right in front of the entrance door. They need to move it ASAP, it's a hazard honestly and inconvenient. Give the waitresses breaks, don't give away reserved tables, get updated safe highchairs and move the changing table! Great food, I'll go back for a second chance one day. read more

This was the first time that we had gone here for a meal and it will certainly be the last considering the entire experience was abysmal. We ordered a simple BLT and a turkey and avocado sandwich, and neither sandwich had any flavor. It was clear that nothing had been properly seasoned, the avocado was old, and even though there was no mayo to be found, the sandwiches were mushy and gross. When our waitress came to check on the food, we simply told her that we didn't think the sandwiches were that good- we were very nice and did not ask for our meals to be comped or anything. The waitress took our meals away and then someone who we assume was the owner, came to our table and proceeded to interrogate us about why we didn't like the food. She attempted to intimidate us by telling us how everyone else likes it and how she tasted it and she liked it and was overall very rude and disrespectful to us, especially considering we never asked her to compensate for our meals. We could've forgiven the fact that we didn't enjoy the food, but the way that we were treated when we simply pointed out that the food was not up to standards, was the straw that broke the camel's back. As if this weren't enough, our niece then went to the bathroom and overheard the "owner" talking badly about us to the other workers in the back! Needless to say, we will never come back and the fact that we already gave them any part of our hard earned money will haunt us for weeks to come. read more

We had a really nice meal and had a fantastic waitress. The only problem we had was when we tried to use an Entertainment Mobile coupon the manager would not accept it. The only exclusion listed was alcohol. He said they don't take it for the Friday fish fry. I specifically looked before we got there and there was no mention of it not being valid on Fridays or for any specials. We had a party of six and it was a very disappointing way to end the meal. My husband's company orders take out quite often from here and he is re-thinking ordering from here anymore. read more

What a great outcome to a random restaurant stop! The service was immediate, very efficient, and professional. The dining room was comfortable, bright, and clean (and busy). Everything we had, and almost everything we saw being delivered to other tables, had the signs of scratch cooking, homemade effort behind the dish. We have eaten at this restaurant many times. Tonight was the worst it's ever been. First of all you couldn't understand what the waitress was saying. Secondly I ordered a hamburger well done with raw onion. Refused the soup and potato so she said there would be a 1.50 off the price. Ok with that so had a side salad for 1.50 no big deal. When we checked out it was full price for the burger (1.50 not taken off), charged .65 for the raw onion ( I had to ask for it and was the size of a half dollar), and a soda was 2.50. May seem like small stuff but when a restaurant starts Nickel and diming you I had enough. read more

I've been to Capitol Cafe quite a few times since it is right around the corner from where I live. The place is fast and even when it is super busy, you rarely have to wait more than 10-15 minutes. That being said, the food is awesome for breakfast (4 stars) but anywhere from average to bad for dinner (2 stars). I would highly recommend going here for a quick and yummy breakfast, but would stay away for lunch/dinner. If you do go for lunch or dinner, the food is hit or miss. Their gyro meat is very tastey, but their tzatziki isn't at all what it should be and takes away from the dish. A lot of the other Greek dishes they have for lunch or dinner are obviously made ahead of time and microwaved when you order. That being said, definitely stop in for breakfast. Capital Cafe does breakfast right! The corned beef, breakfast burrito, gyro skillet (sans tzatziki) and pancakes are all fantastic! read more

I've never been so angry with a restaurant in my life. We got the shrimp scampi and chicken Parmesan and it was the nastiest garbage I've ever tasted. I'm pretty sure they just use chili for their spaghetti sauce. It had the worst flavor like they didn't even bother to use any Italian flavoring and was laced with thick cut onions and green peppers and was just ground beef mixed in. But that was "good" compared to the scampi sauce which tasted like this flavorless gelatin goop. I felt like I was eating clear lard on top of mushy over cooked spaghetti noodles. The shrimp was so tough I could have broke a tooth. Then when I asked the owner to take it off my bill he refused telling me "that's just how we make things here." Do not go here. I've never felt so frustrated disgusted and disrespected in my life. read more

Usually the Capitol Cafe is one of my favorite venues for Greek food; however, I've been searching my local restaurants for a Good Friday fish fry and happened to be in the area so thought I would see what the Capitol Cafe had to offer. My first clue should have been that no other patrons were ordering the fish. I should also mention that this was around 5 pm so early in the evening. The offering was cod---all you could eat---accompanied by fries ---my choice of potato, cole slaw, and a salad--again my choice of side dishes. The salad was fresh consisting of primarily iceberg lettuce, a few grape tomatoes, the requisite croutons and two slices of cucumber. The dressing was 1,000 Island and served on the side---and was a disaster..sickening sweet without any other flavor. The entree was generous with three pieces of cod and a plentiful serving of fries accompanied by the 1-2 oz. cup of cole slaw. The cod was flaky but the coating lacked any flavor and suggested that the cod had been pre-prepared and sitting for awhile before being served. The fries were limp and unseasoned, and, as with the fish, appeared to have been sitting under a heat lamp for some time prior to serving. Dessert was Boston Cream pie which was stale. Last word, go for the Greek but avoid the fish fry. read more

Very popular with families and seniors, gets very busy during peak times and the weekend. During busy hours, I had a rushed feeling as the business wanted the tables cleared out if the patron was done with the meal, understandable but takes away some of the dining experience. The person taking the order gets to your table quickly, they get the order right, the staff I observed, was quick and usually attentive, circling the tables, checking on guests, topping the coffee. Food and portion size is decent, I wish they had a few more healthy options e.g. real maple syrup or local honey for the pancakes, nuts and other garnishments for the oatmeal, vegetarian (minus chicken-broth) options in soup. The hash browns have a burnt oil/grease taste, the mashed potato not good either. The baked spanakopita was decent, wish it was served with greek salad. The baklava was good, not the pie. They have a bar, it was interesting to find some patrons enjoying beer and bloody mary's 10 in the morning. Overall worth a visit, try different items and figure out what you like. read more
