My husband and I very much enjoyed our first visit to the Gyro House for lunch today. It was…read moresparkling clean, had an inviting Greek atmosphere, and a top notch server, Angie, who was courteous, kind, and friendly.
It was hard to choose what to have, as so many items on the menu sounded great, but I selected the spanakopita plate with the lemon sauced potatoes. Everything was just delicious; the phyllo was crispy and light, and the spinach and feta filling was the perfect density, and a side of their heavenly tzatziki sauce complemented it perfectly. The potatoes were firm yet tender, and absorbed the lemon and oregano sauce and made for a perfect side dish. My husband was astounded at the generous portion of gyro meat on his pita, and said it was incredibly flavorful and the accompanying marinated red onions and tomatoes enhanced the meat well. He, too, praised the thick, creamy tzatziki sauce, but he ended up taking at least a third of his gyro home to enjoy tomorrow.
We will definitely be back soon, not just because of the food, but the excellent service. Thanks for a wonderful lunch, Gyro House!
