I would definitely recommend RPS to anyone who wants to try Pilates under proper instruction.

If you're new to a sound bath, I'd suggest an intro membership when offered or see if you can sign up for a single 60 minute session during one of the weekly Monday sessions. When you arrive, you are greeted by welcoming staff or maybe even the owner, Susan. Anyone would help you to get comfortable and explain what to expect just let them know you're new. Yesterday's special session was a 90 minute session and I'd say the actual time with the instruments was about 80 minutes with a very helpful and nice introduction on what we were about to experience & how it affects the body, mind and spirit. Over 20 instruments were at the two ladies who played them throughout the session, and even are utilized while walking around the room. My favorite are the sochi chimes. Reminds me of being at the beach, bringing such a peaceful feeling & memories. If you've never been, plan to experience a peaceful and almost meditative experience. Basically plan to lay on a mat, I bring mine and utilize the provided blankets, pillows & yoga blocks to cushion my back & prop my knees up with the pillows/yoga blocks for lower back comfort. Dress however you feel most comfortable, sweatpants, yoga gear, however you want to lay on the floor to rest. You may get chilly when your BP reduces, grab an extra blanket from the shelf just in case. I didn't bring an eye mask this time, which I regret not having as I find it easiest to get to another place when all light is blocked. Some fall asleep as this truly is a remarkable way to relax. Some experience nothing and others can reach almost an out of body experience, all depends on how easily you allow yourself to give in to the experience. First timers, don't expect full immersion, but go with an open mind. Highly recommend for stress relief. As you enter the studio, which is located in a lower level space, you come into a small store with the counter to check in set away from the doorway. Everyone there is very nice and helpful. They have several type of class offerings as well as buying different types of membership depending on your needs.

I'm 65 and I thought doing the right kind of exercise. Dr. John Jowers listened to my shoulder/neck pain issues. He developed a targeted plan for my recovery, for long term fitness--health and well being. My personalized program included stretching, targeted weight training (with technique instruction), and some dry needling for my neck. Wow! With only six sessions over several months, my pain was resolved. I feel more confident in every day activities, yard work, house work, just simple walking and working out. I can't recommend this physical fitness facility highly enough. Check them out, you'll be glad you did whether for sports agility, injury recovery, or staying healthy.

During my initial session, he listened to what my issues were and very quickly came up with ways to find my weak spots that weren't being addressed by the standard throwers ten exercises. After identifying my primary limitations, he immediately had several key exercises for me to do to specifically improve those areas. By my next session three weeks later, I had improved my previous major deficits and now had different limitations. He again identified them quickly and had a short list of exercises that would help. After one more session and some additional tweaks to my rehab routine specific to my issues, I was back to throwing at full velocity with no pain. The facility is very nice and features many of the latest technologies, but the best part for me was Dr. Jowers. He keeps up to date on the newest approaches and is very aware that nobody has time for a long list of general exercises. I really appreciated how he was able to focus precisely on the main issues and help me to overcome them quickly.
