We initially hired RGC to replace four nail-in windows and one slider because we were experiencing interior water leaks. The work was done quickly and perfectly. We were so impressed that we hired them again for painting and a water heater replacement. Months later, our upstairs (brand new) Milgard windows began leaking. Richard came out right away. He brought in their supplier, Agoura Sash & Door, and even coordinated two separate inspections with Milgard's warranty team. Both times, Milgard said the issue wasn't covered. Instead of walking away or blaming the manufacturer, Richard stood behind the job. He paid out of his own pocket to replace the windows again -- including tearing out stucco, redoing drywall, repainting -- everything. That kind of integrity and accountability is extremely rare in construction. If you want a contractor who truly stands behind his work and treats customers the right way, call Richard. We contracted Westside Remodeling to rehab our 30-year-old original builder's kitchen. Westside…read moreinitially provided a proposal for all new cabinets, countertops, tile, etc. As our budget did not accommodate cabinet replacement, Westside then provided an alternate proposal for repainting the existing maple cabinets, which we did instead, with an excellent result. We selected the new countertops from samples in their showroom, then shopped on our own for the tile backsplash, all new appliances and fixtures. Westside was very flexible in allowing us to be hands-on with the process and our selections. For Clients who prefer more creative guidance, Westside offers in-house design services. Jonathan and the entire Westside team were exceptional in their care and concern for the Client. Further, their various tradespeople were friendly and competent without exception. Importantly, they also finished within budget and estimated timeline. Although we have held off painting the kitchen walls and restoring the floor tile pending completion of other work planned for our home, we have already settled into our "mostly new" kitchen. Unfortunately you won't find out till you've paid him most/all of the money and he stops showing up to work. His license # 936681 has been suspended because he has 2 large sum judgments against him, which he has not paid out to the people he owes. He also had a complaint against him in 2013.
