DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Their communication is horrible after they receive your money. Only saw the Project Manager once when the work began then again when work was complete. They never communicated when they would be working, would show up in our backyard randomly. They took our shovel, said they would replace it, but never did. Had to call them back to hook up the sprinkler system that they forgot to do. Also had to call them back a week later to repair the tile on the planter box that came off. Here we are one year later and my patio lighting is not working, I have called three times in the last three weeks to see if they can fix it, each time I was told I would get a call back, I'm still waiting (good thing I didn't hold my breath). HORRIBLE!!! We spent too much money for poor customer service! I will say the work they do is OK, but you definitely DO NOT get what you pay for! read more

This was a large job, about 4/10 of an acre, total redo with removal of lawn, hedges, and a few trees. Some drainage mitigation as well. Creating a drought tolerant, pollinator supporting landscape that ties into what this part of California should look like. Add some dry steam beds to help with drainage, add some lighting, etc - all in all, just under $80k in work. They were not the low bidder, but the business had been around for years, was big, and promised the right equipment, an experienced crew of employees, a landscape designer, and understanding of drainage, etc. What they promised is NOT what we got. Started out with a designer coming in with all the right tools - so far, so good. He came up with a design for the amount quoted by the owner - which seemed acceptable - the design was accepted, although we were going to change some of the plants. Then the owner stepped in and said nope, that is not within the scope of the project, price just went up 50%. That should have been my first clue... We finally settled on a plan (at an increased cost), met the entire crew, including an experienced landscape guy that was supposed to be there supervising the project every day. We never saw him again, until the project was "done". There was ZERO supervision of the crew of day laborers. The first few weeks were just some contract laborers with pick axes - seriously. They whacked away at the lawn and raked out what they could - I never saw any equipment. No bobcat, no tractor, NOTHING. The lawn was never removed. The job foreman never showed up. They trespassed on the neighbor's yard and went fishing in the private lake. And created a huge dust storm every afternoon blowing, which really made all the neighbors angry. I ended up supervising every single step of the way with a very inexperienced crew of contract people, NOT employees. I had not counted on taking 6 weeks out of my life to supervise every single rock that was laid, and try to explain why trees are watered differently from drought tolerant plants, and asking repeatedly about lawn removal. The contract employees had no skills, no sense of design, spoke little English. The initial creek bed was perfectly straight, and all at ground level - at one point, it was actually flowing UPHILL. It looked horrible, and nothing like the design plans. When we finally got a manager and the owner out, they said the crew had used lasers to lay the creek bed, it was all done correctly. I reminded them I was there all day every day, and on one even owned a laser. So they brought out a laser to "make the little lady happy", and guess what? It was flowing uphill. Everything was poorly done - the drip system (described as state of the art) was cheap, and done incorrectly. Several plants died from lack of water. Lawn sprouting up everywhere. The drainage fix was flooding, they punched through our water lines multiple times, then denied responsibility, installation of water piping was all wrong (a plumber finally came in and redid an entire section). And after a year of trying to get them to fix things, I finally hired someone who understood irrigation and came out and redid the entire drip system, pointing out the many, many, MANY issues with the installation. Of course, that just adds to the cost of the project, but at least now, the plants will stop dying, and I won't be hauling buckets of water. If I could afford it, I would hire another landscape company to come out and redo the entire thing, but we are already so far over budget, that just isn't a reality. I would NOT recommend this company, you can go down to Home Depot and hire day labor and get the same exact people with the same exact skills, buy a saw, a blower, some pick axes and rakes, and get the job done for 1/8 the cost. I have the impression they have ONE team of experienced people, one set of real equipment, and the biggest job gets that team and that equipment. So if you get the "A Team" you probably get a decent project. If you get the contracted people from in front of Home Depot, you get a disaster. read more

I had a similar experience to Michele D (Sept 25, 2025) Only difference was our project was smaller in size and I had limited whatever work that was to be done to $15K. The only crew who seemed to know what to do and communicated with me was the crew leader, but he apparently had to take direction for the landscape foreman who made a rare appearance and spent more time talking about his personal life and showing me family photos on his phone. We too, only saw the foreman when he came by to collect the check when the work was completed, and didn't seem to be interested in doing a walk through. We did get some issues resolved a few months after the work was completed after discovering that some of the plants we had included were not what we thought we ordered, and some other plants were not removed as we had contracted to be removed. Now 9 months later, some of the other plantings which were added into the project on the day work was done, didn't survive. But, at this point, I wouldn't call this company back , especially now that I read other not-so-great reviews. read more

We are very pleased with the overall professionalism and courtesy of the Capital Landscape team. From our first meeting with Erick through to project manager, Scott and the workers, James & Dave that completed the project, everything move along very well. Initially, we were told it would be difficult to find a landscape company interested in doing our small yard project, and it was; but, Capital Landscape was one of three firms we contacted. They were #2 on the list and after meeting with them, we looked no further. Capital Landscape is a design/build firm meaning they do both, which we did not know at the time. We could not have gotten a better outfit to complete the work. A very important feature of our landscape design was to raise the existing retaining wall. The work completed was seamless with the existing older wall. The materials used blended well. The workmanship was excellent. We are exceedingly happy with the results. Capital Landscaping also updated and replaced the old irrigation lines in the yard to serve the existing and new plantings, as well as maintain good water usage and conservation. I would sum it up by saying the company is very professional and knowledgeable, the work end product exceeded our expectations and the project, once started, moved quickly to completion. We would hire them again for any landscaping needs around our home. Additionally important, Capital Landscape pricing is reasonable and the company works with you to set a budget, which was important to us as retirees in a 55+ community and an exacting HOA. Erik, the project manager, the plant specialist and Lead crew chief-Miguel all came out for a meeting with me and look over the entire project. We hired Capital Landscape to remove our front lawn and put in drought tolerant landscape in our front yard. We also added concrete to make our driveway larger and in the backyard for my chicken coop. It was a large project, our lot size is one acre. Lyn designed a beautiful yard for us with so many colors and dimension. The initial estimate was more than we wanted to spend so we reconvened and reduced the amount of rocks (opting for more bark) and plants. We were firm we wanted to keep the trees when we told our salesperson. The project took about 2.5 weeks to complete. It looked fantastic. There was a miscommunication with their team and they used the original landscape design (higher cost). When they realized their error (prior to completion) they asked us for more money to compensate for the additional rock used letting us know how much we got for free. We paid the amount ($400) because frankly the conversation was very uncomfortable. Hector, their landscape lead was the bright spot in this experience. He was kind and responsive. Project was completed a little over a year ago now and I was waiting to post my review to so how things have been. We needed multiple plants and one tree replaced, thankfully all still under warranty. One year later, I've replaced 4 more plants and 2 trees out of my own pocket. The trees both had root rot from not being planted appropriately (hole not large enough with new soil, we have clay soil). One of our landscape spotlights works intermittently (I believe we need to tighten the connection) and one of our sprinkler valves leaks. We are getting a lot of weeds because the landscape barrier used is very cheap (I can rip it bare handed). Overall, I am happy with the design, the concrete and most of the work but for the amount we paid I expected more and to not have to replace so many plants so soon. The warranty on plants is 3 months, equipment is 1 year. read more

A few months ago, we completed our third landscaping project with Capital Landscape. All three projects were done on time and looked fantastic. Costs were reasonable and the Capital Landscape team worked with us to stay within our budget. Very creative results! In our experience, doing a landscape project is "art" not "science." We started out with a vision of what we wanted, but with the help of the Capital Landscape team, we made adjustments along the way - changing rock size and color, working with different plants. Many times, the Capital Landscape team was fussier than we were, making recommendations that we hadn't considered. Along the way, there were issues that cropped up - such as the need for additional drainage due to overwatering at the house next door. Capital Landscape met with the builder to examine the issue, taught the neighbor how to use his sprinkler system AND added the extra drainage in our yard - to prevent future problems - at no additional cost. Everyone we delt with at Capital Landscaping was professional and considerate. Any time we had a concern and raised it, they addressed it - even if it wasn't their issue to address. Example: I asked if they could spare some drip line and drippers to connect some plants in pots that wasn't even in an area they were working on. Next thing I knew, they were hooked up! As with any large project, speaking up is important. The team is not comprised of mind-readers. Sometimes we didn't really want to bring up an issue, but we quickly learned on our projects that they wanted us to be pleased with the result, so we learned to speak up. A final note. We live in a new build neighborhood and watched many of our neighbors deal with incomplete projects months after they were started. Capital Landscape gave us dates and met their deadlines to the extent that weather permitted. They would adjust the schedule if there were weather issues, but our projects were completed with in weeks. We would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again. read more

I would not recommend Capital Landscaping. While we did have positive experience with select individuals during the process, overall we were not happy with the quality of work, and saw what we believed was poor or faulty workmanship, blatant shortcuts being taken, and labor crew that were difficult to work with. Some issues were fixed by this company, others not (see below) In turn we have since turned to different companies fix issues we believe was a result of the workmanship of this companies, amounting to multiple thousands over the last 2 years. We hired Capital Landscapping in 2022. We had designed a master plan for our backyard, to be done in stages over the next several years. We were starting from scratch in our back yard, pulling everything out to start over. We hired Capital Landscapping for the following. 1) removal of 4 large bushes. 2) removal of concrete from a patio we had demo'ed ourself 3) Grade and level the yard. 4) Install entirely new irrigation system to include relocating new stations, all new lines and sprinklers. 5) install drainage. The initial consult seemed to go great. They brought over the project manager who was clearly able to communicate what he understood as the project, how he was going to accomplish the project, and the equipment he would use. (Using bob cat devices and trenching tools). When it came time for the project to begin, the company informed us that the original project manager was still busy on a job and they would provide us with an alternate. We asked to wait until the original guy was free but they said the new person was good so we proceeded. The new project manager completely change the method of how he would accomplish the job (using manual Labor instead of machinery) and he in the end had issues with communicating what he understood as the details we had. Results. 1) removal of large bushes. Done well. They dug out the large root balls and completely removed the plants as requested, instead of just cutting and grinding it down. We were very happy with this 2) removal of concrete. They were able to remove the concrete as asked. HOWEVER, as we saw during the project and after, they crew used some of the broken concrete to 'backfill' the holes left from the plant removal, which were found during subsequent projects. We also found lots pieces of concrete some as large as my palm across the yard. We had to have multiple discussions about them cleaning up the concrete before they agreed to remove visible concrete from the yard. we still found lots of buried concrete later on doing other projects. Completely Unacceptable 3) grade/level the yard. While similar verbiage was in the contracted, we were told that was 'boiler plate language' and was not actually intended to mean they would ensure the yard was actually graded. 5) installation of drainage. Our yard was very prone to flooding in the winter. The drainage was very important. Part of the reason we pushed so hard for grading/leveling was so the yard would direct rain water towards the designated drainage areas and remove the water. We explained where our primary spots of concern were, with pictures to demonstrate past flooding. Since the yard was not actually graded, several of the drainage inlets are located in places that collect no water. We hired additional workers after this company to then grade parts of the yard to flow water towards drain inlets Lastly, THEY NEVER TESTED the drainage pipes when they initially installed them. I tested the drainage system the day after they finished working and found multiple spots in the yard where the piping leaked and water had soaked up to the service. started to show massive leaves through the dirt. After digging up the leak spots we saw the corrugated tubing was connect via a duct-tape like material. When we asked if he tested the system, he initially said yes. Then that he 'thought his crew tested it'. And then said that it must not have been done. The project manager, and management came out to look. They insisted the drainage was done to standard but offered to dig up the entire drainage system and replace it with solid pvc pipes instead. While there have been no leaks since and it works as desired (after some additional work to properly route water to select outlets) that was poor quality of work/quality control that should never have gotten to that point. read more

Most of the work was done to a reasonable quality; however, the plant selection was not to the scale that we expected & several plants have died (5 plants in the first 30 days, which we informed a manager, but nothing was done to replace them!) & another plant that is looking very bad. We were also disappointed in the fact that a manager was not onsite to check on the work being done & to answer questions or concerns we had during the ongoing project. Our thought was that he--Ryan--could have just stopped in to help us convey to the 2 workers (who did not speak English) where we wanted a plant or to show us how to operate the complicated drip system they installed. In conclusion, the price (@$15,000) was not comensurate with the value received. And, this might not be relevant, but 'thanking' us for our business with a $5 Starbuck's card seemed like an empty gesture at best. A caveat: the designer did a fine job in drawing the plans & choosing plants (with a couple exceptions), but the size of the plants were (& are still) small, so whoever picked them up from the nursery made the choices. read more

We all want a company that's attentive to the customer's requests, and willing to do a honest job for a honest price. Well Capital Landscape failed with us on 2/3 and will not get a chance to do an honest job. We called for an appointment to get a quote on a backyard job. The appointment was set, and Will had to cancel the appointment and reschedule...no big deal. Will came and listened to my wife share that we wanted a dog run, a raised flagstone patio to match our existing flagstone around our pool, remove a smaller retaining wall and add flagstone to that area, use retaining wall materials to build a small enclosure around our pool, fix and update a section of front yard facing fence at the end of our dog run and fix our irrigation system. We also said that a small area in the yard could take some plants (SMALL AREA). Will took that information and said he would send an itemized quote in about a week. The quote did not arrive in a week and took a few phone calls to get the quote. The quote/Job Description (JD)came, and my wife and I were shocked with the absolute total lack of including almost ANYTHING that she talked to Will about. *No mention of flagstone *50 plants when we asked for very few *Lawn area mentioned when we do not want lawn. *A quote for a fire pit when my wife specifically told Will we had already purchase one that would be placed on our flagstone that we wanted that was never mentioned. *A quote that DOES NOT itemize ANYTHING I can go on, but I will tell you that what you see on this JD for a backyard that already has a pool and is pretty small just was unbelievable. This JD smells of a person, Will, that gets paid based on the work he does, no matter the quality. Utilizing a drop down menu of "generic" things that are included in "most" landscapes is utilized to make creating the quote even simpler AND NOT specific to the job at hand. So all and all this job was quoted at an astonishing $24,000. Honest price for honest work...they won't get a chance to show us if their work is honest, because this quote and the listening skills of Will are quite horrible. read more

This was my husband and I's first major remodel. We purchased our house 4 years ago and have a large backyard. It's based off of two sections. Pool side and the "other" side. We were tired of the "other" side. Dogs would tear it up during the winter. The grass was getting hard to manage. And it was starting to become a hassle and a reason not to go in the backyard. We looked up Capital landscape among other companies. And based off of their personable service, we decided to go with them and glad we did. Right off the beginning, starting with Will who came by to get a general idea...the service was awesome. Will was incredibly nice. Knowledgeable. And promised he would be around every step of the way. After Will, we met Jason who was the designer. Jason was also awesome. He listened and paid attention to the vision, my husband and I had. And with his extensive experience and our ideas of what kind of yard we wanted, Jason created a masterpiece that fit exactly the kind of vibe, look, and ambiance we were hoping for. After Jason, we got to meet supervisor- Scott. And the project manager - Hector. Both guys, super nice, and take a lot of pride in presenting the best possible customer experience ever. Even the crew that worked with Hector, were very accommodating. They cleaned up every single rock and piece of dirt when they left. It was like they were never there when they left for the day. Hector checked in every morning to make sure we were happy with what was going on and there were no hiccups with the project. And every now and then, Scott would also check in to make sure we were good. I can't explain, how easy and painless this project was. Capital Landscape made our remodel completely hassle and stress free. Another thing we really liked about Capital, is that they even offered really good advice and ideas as we went along. They came up with things I didn't even think of. Not that they were trying to sell us anything. Because they weren't. Their ideas were completely within the budget, and they turned out looking great. The crew also worked super duper fast. Our yard was completed in no time at all. We were actually sad to see them go. Lol. And surprisingly enough, this project was not that expensive. It was very affordable. And Capital Landscape will allow you to make payments or even finance the project which is also nice. Now, I can't wait to come home and let my dogs run out and about in the backyard. My husband and I like to hang out in the yard after a long day. And of course, entertaining is a lot more fun now. I won't recommend anybody else. This experience was so awesome, it makes me want to rip out my front yard and do it again. Lol. read more

Update a year later: Our retaining wall they installed is falling apart. The blocks are toppling. The grasses they put in are the wrong type. The watering system was placed on two timers so the front and back yard have to run at the same time - so nothing gets water because the pressure is low. Everything started dying and I have to hand water our yard now. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!! I would not recommend this company. They had us use a landscape architect who told us the type of materials would be chosen when the job was done. The architect met us twice and did not make all of the corrections we asked for and said the foreman would show us samples of the materials. When the job was to be completed, we asked to pick out materials and either got no response or the bare minimum. One sample would be brought at a time (with days in between). When the crew was unable to get the type of stone we chose for our retaining wall, we were told "You don't need to chose. We'll bring something you'll like" and the stone brought was not only a completely different stone, but was installed with no approval. Spoiler alert: we hate it. It's basically rough cinderblocks that don't match our home. With all of our materials - we were never given a choice and when we asked if we could choose we were given limited options. They basically gave us what they already had bought and lying around. When we asked for mulch instead of stone around the parameter of our backyard, we were offered $200 back. EVEN THOUGH rocks cost 4x the amount of mulch. This company charged us $40K for the bare minimum work and in the end, we signed the acceptance paperwork just to get them out of our hair so we could start working on the yard ourselves. When we asked for a detailed invoice to see what we were charged, they stopped responding and when I saw the foreman he told me "it's not possible. Too complicated". Yeah. Too complicated because we were price gauged for trash materials. We tried to speak to the owner. I left him several voicemails and an email but no response. I do not recommend using this company. They will over charge you, give you whatever they have lying around, not give you choices on your materials (or disregard what you asked for), and are absolutely not responsive. Don't waste your time and money. read more

I bought a house that needed its irrigation and outdoor landscaping redone. I called and waited about 2 weeks for an appointment. The young rep showed up on time and asked what I wanted to do. I explained that I wanted to replace, add and reposition lighting, drip irrigation and sprinklers on the property. The kid explained that they were very busy and in great demand and explained to me that the company has been in business for many many years for a reason. Mmm, ok so we walked the property and as I was explaining the job he barely wrote anything down on his pad, he didnt inspect anything, did not follow me around the landscape so I could show him what I wanted, had no suggestions or ideas on updating, told me to pick lights and irrigation from a website and overall very little eye contact and was very nonchalant. He spent a total of 11 minutes estimating and left. I have never experienced a qoute/estimate ever like this, he said they would email me a quote within the week. The bid came on the 8th day and was non descript with no information on products used, amount of lights, what type of irrigation etc. In short it just said replace existing with lighting and irrigation. How can you quote without knowing types and amount? I own several properties and am very familiar with contractors, the business and getting work done, I have never seen anything like this. Anyway, there was no follow-up from them either and the price was 35% higher then the contractor I picked from "The Home Mag".... Times are strange and so are these guys. read more

I had my backyard landscaping done by Capital last year and I was happy with the result. I recently had them do my front yard landscaping, removing the lawn and making it lower maintenance and water wise. I couldn't be happier with the results. I know nothing about plants, so I relied on Lynn, the designer, to come up with the plan. She was knowledgeable and efficient, drew up a preliminary plan and made the minor revisions I asked for quickly. Within a few weeks we had a pre-job walkthrough and the work began that week. The entire job, including a paver walk and patio addition with a wall, was completed in a week. The entire crew was professional and efficient. I had one minor issue, a new irrigation valve malfunctioned, but it was promptly repaired. I love my new front yard. read more

Redoing our yard was probably one of the bigger projects and expenses i have done. I got two bids and capital was about the same as the other bid so i decided to go with capital as they seemed to have a bigger operation and experience. I was happy with the foreman who came everyday and was the one actually handling the construction with his crew. There was some concerns along the way about the timing of the project and coordinaring with different vendors and pulling permits. Being an attorney and doing smaller projects definately helped when i needed to communicate. I wish things had gone a little smoother but the overall process, price and final result i am happy with. My landscaping "project" seems quite large and complex undertaking to me, but-- alas-- it turns out to be small and simple for the expertise and skill set that Capital Landscape offers. I would have liked working with them. They responded promptly to my initial email about setting up an appointment, and that courtesy always wins my approval. Erik, landscape consultant, was professional and kind as he clarified the nature of my work and the fact that having it done by (overqualified) landscape architects would not be cost-effective for me. My front yard was a disaster-old railroad ties bordering it-ground cover that was dying but I had some large beautiful rocks. Capital landscape Cleared everything except the rocks and incorporated them into a beautiful new yard with a retaining wall, small rock and a nice plant variety. I needed part of my old irrigation system to stay for some planter boxes and they made sure of that and also threw in a drip system . After several bids for our backyard project we decided to go with Capital Landscape and couldn't have been happier with the end result. Mark was prompt with getting back to us with any of our concerns as the project progressed. Sean did a great job designing our water feature and even with several changes, he was patient with us and changed it to our desired look that now allows our son to play at the waters edge of the pond area. I made an appointment for CL to come out and provide an estimate for my backyard project. The day of, Erik, leaves me a text that he cannot make the appointment because of unforseen problems. I was thinking, if Erik couldn't make the appointment, shouldn't he have gotten someone to take his place and still keep the appointment? We were looking to renew a yard in a house that we just bought and had removed a tree and grass. Erik came out to do the estimate and was quick and efficient. I was told that a designer would come out and we would get plans for our yard. I did communicate that we wanted native plants. Fast forward to the meeting with the crew, Erik, Scott, Jane and David, the foreman. Here is where I expected plans - nope. Talked over what we wanted with Scott and Jane. They seem to understand. Were willing to start the work quickly which I appreciated - however, Scott the project manager was going on vacation that day and was not available for the job. I don't begrudge the man a vacation, but the company should have assigned another project manager. I don't think Jane listened to me as I said "native plants" multiple times during our consultation - I even mentioned that I would really like the plants to match the other side of the yard which has bee/butterfly plants. I never got a plant list, or a design plan. That Monday, the crew - which was great - showed up and did the concrete work and built us a rock river. Then the plants - none of which were native or particularly bee/butterfly friendly - showed up. The foreman did his best without a plan, even replacing the plant that he was sure was going to burn up in the sun with a butterfly plant. He also went out of his way to bring me rock samples, which I was not consulted about. He even convinced me to add landscape fabric which I am not a fan of - the general manager had called me to try to convince me to buy it - I don't want plastic in my yard. However, David explained that the rock would seep into the dirt without it and that they used a non plastic fabric. The work was done quickly and the yard looks good, but it's a lesson not to let work go forward without seeing definite plans! I can't imagine as a theatrical set designer if I showed up at dress rehearsal with a set the director didn't know anything about. Finally got a plan on graph paper, that I could have drawn out, after the work was done with plants listed at the bottom - most of which weren't placed according to the plan because the foreman didn't have it - some not even delivered - . At least now I'll know which plants not to buy when these die. I'll probably end up replacing them as I can with natives. Never got a detailed invoice. The work is good, the communication and organization are a bit lacking. I do have to say that Scott, once back from vacation, worked to get me the plan and is working on my invoice. read more

I reviewed Capital Landscape very favorably soon after the front yard overhaul they did for me, but I think I'm even more impressed now, FIVE YEARS later. So impressed, I feel a sense of duty to give new, updated praise to Mark Chester and his team. Mark was very knowledgeable, patient (no matter how stupid my questions were), and responsive. I was fearing buyer's remorse with a big investment in transforming my front yard from grass to river rock. I recall losing sleep over looking so radically different from my green-grassy neighbors and adversely impacting the value of my home. Man, were those fears misplaced -- no more watering or mowing, AND a front yard that looks awesome all year long. Every one of Mark's associates I dealt with knew their stuff and did a great job. For all the work he and they did (a LOT) and for all the improvement I got from that work (ditto), the final bill, while not exactly cheap, was well within the quote Mark gave me, and seriously, so worth every penny. read more

Got a quote for some landscaping work. Wasn't thrilled by the proposal, seemed more transactional then the personalized plan I was hoping to see. Got follow up sales emails to see if we wanted to do the work. Didn't follow up as we decided to pass. This was April 9th. On July 15th they gave me a ring to confirm my credit card info was up to date for the work they were going to do. No work had been scheduled. They had another person by the same name in their database and somehow they attached me & my credit card to that work to be done. They called late in the afternoon right before they were "scheduled" to show up to do the work that apparently I had booked on March 29th (yeah, a week before we even got the proposal). So, their front desk & database is a hot mess and I'm glad my card wasn't charged for the doppelganger's work. Asked to be removed from their database and the best they offered to do was remove my CC's from their file. If I ran a company, I'd be embarrassed. Sealing the deal on my choice to NOT go with these folks. read more

Overall experience was pretty bad, the work they did ended up being ok, but how we got there was terrible. There were constant delays, which I can understand if our project manager would have called and explained what was going on. At some point we were just sitting and waiting for a month with no communication from the company, not knowing what was going on. Also the original contract said that they would do work on our front yard, which they didn't, and just disappeared after. I have been trying to contact them through the owner and he keeps saying that someone will come by and nobody does. Bottom line is the quality of work they do is good, the way the business is run is horrible. read more

We just had Capital Landscape provide service at our rental property in the Rocklin vicinity. This included the demolition/replacement of existing concrete and pouring additional concrete, as well. As we live out of state, it required research to vet contractors, which included checking out Yelp! and the Better Business Bureau... after our property manager was unsuccessful in identifying a contractor. Alyssa, the office manager for Capital, was very prompt in responding to my initial request, as was Mark, in terms of providing the job bid and follow up. Capital Landscape was one of only two contractors who responded in a professional manner. This was acknowledged and appreciated. We contracted with Capital and found that their responsiveness, and demonstrated professionalism, exceeded our expectations. The quality of work was not in question, based on the gallery of past projects displayed on their website. Though we have not seen the final results in person, our property manager assures that it was a job WELL DONE. We would highly recommend Captial Landscape for your needs, without any hesitation. We are so pleased with the job that Capital Landscape did revising our front yard mow strip area and solving a drainage problem in our backyard lawn area and installing new sod. The original estimator for our job under estimated it. We had already put down our deposit and signed the contract when we found out that the original estimator had moved on to another job. Mark, the owner came out to re-evaluate our job and told us that it was way under bid. He offered to give us back our deposit or honor the contract at the price we agreed on.
