Just went to go get some water couple stores down and I noticed that there was a Chinese restaurant I was craving Chinese food yesterday. I was with my wife. She had mentioned that she had it years ago so we gave it a shot. Let me say that the food is so good home made best Chinese food I had so far I will be coming back again. The lady inside I talked to her. I had mentioned to her how many years have you been here? She said a very long time. She was very nice and very helpful I paid online so if you're gonna try to pay with your credit card, make sure to do it online. I give this place a 10 star we will be back again. Whet in the ever loving crap? Walked, nobody eating, nobody working after a few minutes finally an older lady popped her head out and asked if I was ordering to go or sitting. Picked a table and sat down at a filthy table. Ordered vegetables and tofu, rice and an ice tea. Few pieces of broccoli, few carrot slices, and a ton of old spongy week old zucchini, tofu that had to have exceeded its expiration date a week ago all drenched jar sauce. Rice was cold and dried out, pretty sure it had been sitting out on the counter an hour or two. The whole entire time I was there, I did not see another customer either for to go or dinning in. Good news, Safeway is right next door and you can run in and grab some anti diarrhea medication for what comes next in the digestive process. read more

Man I heard the worker microwaving our food before bringing it to us... Portions were extremely small for almost 15 dollars a combination plate. I mean there was one bite of chow mein on the plate! Literally one half mouthful and it was gone! Not sure how I feel about this place, small portions, okay service, old food, but somehow it still tasted pretty good. Tried them for the first time today for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered the broccoli beef and general chicken combination plates. Enough food for one big to two smaller meals. Each combo plate comes w salad/soup, entree, an egg roll, chowmein and fried rice, $13.99/plate. Food tasted good, service was quick and Amy our hostess was very attentive. Omg, I just happened to be in town with my girlfriend so I search up Chinese cuisine and this place was the closest so I took her there. The service was poor! The environment had a weird smell. The hot tea was horrible tasted like a day old warm tea. I would not recommend this place. Driving through Dixon to get back to the Bay Area we were in the mood for Chinese food. We first stopped by HK Chinese restaurant but they don't do dine in. We were reluctant to come here due to the star review but we were in for a nice surprise. The atmosphere was peaceful, the place is clean and especially the bathroom, and the food was excellent. We ordered sesame chicken, broccoli chicken and chicken fried rice. The food tasted tasty without being greasy and it was clean. We loved them all and no leftovers were needed! This place is cheap, with cheap food and a dirty interior for a restaurant. I came in a while ago and had accidentally left a card in an envelope on the table with $20 inside, I had only sat in the car for less than a minute before I realized it and went back in the restaurant to get it. The Asian waitress said there was no envelope on the table and she had no idea what I was talking about. I asked to check the trash can in case they had cleaned it up on accident and she became very nervous and fervently denied seeing an envelope. I was 100% sure the waitress pretended to not know what I was talking about, stashed the money for herself, and then lied about it to a customer's face. Do not dine here unless you want dishonesty and waitresses stealing your money. To add on it, there was no one else in the store that could corroborate what had happened, which also says something about the popularity of the store itself. read more

I really like their meat and pot stickers. Their chow mein isn't very good. I would go back more but they are pretty expensive compared to Asian Garden, who also gives a LOT more food. So overall, they have pretty good food. Pot stickers are my favorite. I'll go back every so often but it's too expensive to go a lot. read more

I have been eating Chinese food here since moving to Dixon in 2003, and it has always been good. I usually get take out but have eaten inside a few times and have gotten good service. The honey walnut shrimp is to die for, and in my opinion is the best in town! Price wise this restaurant used to be more competitive, however, currently they are on the higher side. My one real negative is they do not include bean sprouts in any of their dishes and I LOVE bean sprouts.......so definitely no chop suey here!! As we entered the China Capital Restaurant, we were pleasantly greeted by our hostess and server Annie. Annie moved through the restaurant with such poise and grace. She recommended several mouth watering dishes and we chose the Mongolian Beef with the plum sauce. It was a wonderfully delightful choice. The flavors leaped for joy as they encircled my palate. I was heading home from Tahoe and was craving Chinese. I found this place on my smart phone so decided to give it a try. I got there at 5pm on a Sunday and was the only one there. The lady was busy talking on her speaker phone to somebody in Chinese and didn't offer me any water as she was much to busy talking on the phone. I did get water and a fork and napkin after my food was delivered. As for the food...it was ok. If you're not into "real Chinese food" you may find it acceptable. I paid $9 for the Sweet and Sour Pork. Not a vegetable in sight. The fried rice and chow mein were plain. No onions or bell peppers on the entree. Portion size was decent. Delivery was relatively quick as I was the only one there but the service sucked as the whole time the lady was talking on the phone via speaker so I could hear the whole coversation though I didn't understand anything as they were speaking in Chinese. The lady never came to check on me. Needless to say, I won't be coming back. No wonder the place was empty! read more

Tried this place out after it was recommended online last Friday, October 2021. We ordered a green bean dish; they were out of green beans. We ordered a scallop dish; they were out of scallops. We ordered a vegetable fried rice that was made with obviously OLD rice-they put lots of soy sauce on it to cover the clumps of rice until it looked like a dark brown walnut wood. Very few vegetables included. Same with the vegetable chow mien, very few veggies. That makes it a very expensive bunch of noodles! There was not another person in the place waiting for an order. I wish we had gone anywhere else. There are much better restaurants in Dixon. read more

Located in a medium size shopping center close to a Safeway. Plenty of parking. The sign was lit (around 4 PM on Saturday, but the place was dark. I tried the door and it was open so I went in. They were open but it took a few minutes for them to realize I was there. I had the curry chicken special--curry chicken (mild), noodles, wonton, rice, and egg drop soup for $10.70. Portion size was large and I had plenty left over to take home. Food was good. Décor was nice. Definitely worth giving them a try. read more

This restaurant has really gone downhill. Same owners but now has the one of the worst Chinese food I have ever had. Everything just tasted like soy sauce to me. The price, quality and portions have all decreased. Nothing had flavor except the general chicken. It's unfortunate. I could of had a nice sit down Korean meal for the price I paid. This is probably the best place in Dixon for Chinese food; it's reasonably priced, food isn't pre-made but doesn't take forever to get after you order, and if you order one of the combo plates, you get a huge amount of food for less than eight bucks. The General's chicken is decent (though not spicy) and I like the Kung Pao as well; my husband loves their sweet and sour chicken as well as the S&S prawns. I find the chow mein to be a little on the salty side, but the fried rice is tasty. We eat there a couple times a month, and really the only downside is that if you pour your soda into the glass with ice, you get to experience the wonder that is Dixon's fairly crappy tasting water..it would be better if they filtered the water before freezing into cubes. read more

Many of the reviews commented on the bad service. I decided to take the service out of the equation for the most part and do take out. The lady who took our order was nice enough and entertained my questions about the dishes. A few highlights of our order include the hot and spicy chicken with garlic and the orange chicken. They advertise that they serve Japanese dishes as well. Someone in my group decided to try their "sushi" and ordered a California against my suggestion. They of course were dissatisfied, my response was what did you expect? Call it a gut feeling but when Chinese restaurants make sushi I'm always skeptical. I took a bite and the Wal-Mart down the street makes better sushi, not that I eat Wal-Mart sushi or anything... It took a while for us to get our order since everything was cooked to order and there were a several orders ahead of us. I highly suggest calling ahead and placing your order to avoid a long wait, also so you don't have to deal with the horrible service everyone complains about. read more

I should have listened to my fellow yelpers and just drove to Panda in Vacaville. The service was alright, not friendly but not rude. The food was just gross. The Chow mein were extra large noodles in a bland sauce. no veggies, no meat, just noodles. the kung pao Chicken had no flavor and was drenched in the exact same sauce as the noodles. My dads orange chicken was just as bad. We couldn't even eat our food. OH! and lets not forget the egg rolls which were the size of a sharpie in width and had a couple strings of carrots and cabbage. --- I spent 17.00 and some change and were all still hungry.... The woman that sat us down did not even greet us with a hello or a smile (looked like she was mad to have us there). The place was empty, so what's the deal? We were not offered drinks upon sitting down. Again, what's the deal?? I flagged her so I could have a soda, still no smile or pleasant voice. What is her deal?? The food arrived and was not at all pleasing,I boxed it up and handed it to a homeless person (when we left). I had to have her add up the bill again, she over charged us. Maybe since it is not popular, she adds money. Soda is $1.50 can!!! That is BS!!!! I would never eat here again. As for the company I work for, I will never send any guests over there for a meal. Our food was goobed with sauce over rather than having it cooked it the sauce like other places do. The walnut chicken was terrible. This explains why this place sits empty every time I have thought about eating hereI waited to see if others would go in here, never they just walk by. You get 2 slices of an orange, nasty soup, iceburg lettuce with similar sauce poured on it and 1 strand of a carrot, chicken wrapped oily- nasty taste, soda is better in a can ($ 1.50 ) than over the nasty ice,and $2.00 for a bowl of rice. This is not worth your hard earned money in my opinion. Skip it and head over to Asian Garden, much better service and tasty food. Or you can go to Safeway next door to Capital China. read more
