I asked him to start with a zero and explained that if my son wanted it shorter, he might want to go with a skin fade. I was honestly shocked when Rick told me that going from a zero to a skin fade would cost double the price. I've never experienced a barber charging double simply because the customer wants the hair cut shorter. I understand charging extra for certain services, but doubling the price for this was completely unexpected and, in my opinion, unreasonable.
