Joe's Barber Shop is great. My family moved to Corona 25 years ago (2000). As my two sons were growing up, we would come monthly. Joe, the original owner, did an awesome job and took care of us for many years until he retired and sold the business to Angel. As the new owner, Angel has done an excellent job in giving the shop a younger, however, still old school vibe. Many knick knacks, sports memorabilia, and two big screen televisions showing 'America's Funniest Video' type programs are playing in the background. The ongoing joke for us at the shop is that as my hair has receded over the years, Angel has had to work miracles in keeping what hair I have left looking good on my head. He is always able to bring out the best look and cut for my head. Angel is very personable and knowledgeable and is able to cut anyone's hair, long, short, curly, wavy, thick, straight, etc. He can do wonders with most anyone's request. In addition, the shop is an excellent place to discuss 'issues of the day'. Adding to the shop's talent, John, a high-quality associate barber, has recently come on board. John is also very personable, efficient, listens to the customer's requests, provides top notch haircuts all while keeping the customer flow moving. This past Christmas 2024, my two grown sons (serving in the military) and their sons (my grandsons), were in town and we all wanted to come in for haircuts, the youngest one being his first haircut (six haircuts total, see photo). We had a great time, did a lot of talking and had a memorable moment that we will always remember. Angel and Joe make a formidable team and I put them up against any other barber shop in the county. You can't beat their prices and expertise. I highly recommend Joe's barber shop, Angel and John, for your family. They are an icon, represent the city of Corona well and that is why the shop has kept a vast number of loyal customers since its opening in the mid-1960s. Literally haven't gotten a bad haircut in my life. Until today, I asked for a short trim and half an inch off the top. Somehow my hair is now 4 inches shorter.
