Terrible haircut. I walked in and was taken pretty fast but i left with a crooked hairline and a bunch of enhancements that did nothing. I definitely would not recommend I have never had a haircut end up like this and he had the nerve to charge $40 for this monstrosity. He pushed my hairline back and still couldn't get it straight. I have been going here for years now and everytime I leave satisfied. Daniel is a great barber and always does an excellent job cutting my hair. He's very skilled at what he does and really pays attention to the small details, making sure everything looks really nice. The shop is always clean and welcoming, and his prices are very reasonable. I definitely recommend Daniel if you're looking for a quality haircut at a good price. read more

I've been going to DC for a while now, and I can honestly say I won't trust anyone else with my hair. The man is consistent, professional, and knows exactly what he's doing. Every cut is clean, sharp, and tailored to exactly what I ask for. Whether it's a fade, beard lineup, or just cleaning up, DC always delivers. The vibe in the shop is laid-back but focused--good conversation if you want it, or peace and quiet if you don't. **This review is solely about the barber who served me. It's not about the shop.** I recently went to Moe for the first time, and she did not disappoint. I typically go to another barber, but the shop is closed on Mondays. I was in desperate need of a cut and couldn't wait. Moe has cut my brother's hair before, and I really liked it, so I decided to give her a chance. Moe has a warm, inviting energy, and she's professional. She introduced herself and shook my hand when I met her, which I appreciate. I felt comfortable, and I got exactly what I asked for. She took her time and executed the cut perfectly. My hair is light and fine/thin, and sometimes barbers add enhancements without asking me first. Moe asked if that's what I wanted instead of just doing it, which was also nice. I don't like extra sharp/bold lines, so I was really happy she took the time to consider what I wanted. My cut was great! I'd definitely go back to her. read more

I found this shop through Booksy when I moved to the area. Gave it a chance and been here every other week since. They do an excellent job being patient with my son that is hyper active and noise sensitive. Another plus is being open early seven days a week and easy scheduling. read more

Don't get cut by Big L he's the owner he can't cut at all and rushes through all his cuts. He's the worst with customers and always has an attitude every time I see him. When you get your hair cut by him and tell him how you want it he don't listen and does what he wants. This guys so not a people person and hates everyone. read more

i've been going to Much Love barbershop for almost 20 years now and the owner Big L personally cuts my hair. I've had nothing but great experiences . This is where I can relax because of the environment and the folks that work there. It's a great environment and I appreciate the service and how they take care of their customers. 5 Star Barbershop, plenty of barbers with low wait times even on the busiest of days. They do braids too. Watch the games on the TVs or goto Hotlanta Wings or Starbucks next door to the gas station.. Great Location read more

This has been my go to barbershop for over 5 years ! The barbers in the shop are consistent to the point where you can remember all of their names , always very friendly & respectful ! Big L is great and had my boys looking handsome as ever. As a single mom, it can get a bit uncomfortable in a barbershop, but our first visit was great. We only waited 10 minutes before being seen, which if you are a parent, you know 10 minutes can feel like 10 hours. Lol. But it was all a smooth transaction from start to finish. My only suggestion Would be to ask the cost up front, as diffrent babrbers charge diffrent prices even if it the same cut. ***We have found our new baber!!! read more

While I did love my haircut I didn't really enjoy hearing one of the barbers be openly homophobic about the LGBT community. Especially since I came in with my same-sex partner. There's no need to marginalize other groups when the shop in itself is also owned by a marginalized group. For all the shit they were talking, I would say I was pretty kind and respectful. Not impressed with the hack job they did on my son. My husband took him. If I had been there I would have demanded they fix it. Instead my husband just said, "You can fix it." Why am I paying someone else if I still end up cutting his hair?! They didn't cut his bangs. Just slicked them back. So as soon as he got out of the chair he pulled his hair forward the way he likes it. The barber is supposed to cut and style how you want it, not just assume they know what you want. My husband showed them a picture of what we wanted, but they didn't do that. The barber should ask how they want it. They totally scratched up my child. I noticed some red cuts when he first got back, then they turned into welts like he might be allergic to what they put on him. My family said it couldn't be from the barber, but then I noticed a cut right along the racing stripe in his hair and my suspicions were confirmed. They didn't just hack his hair, they hacked into my 5yo boy! $30 for them to ruin his hair and cut him up!! I had to fix the hair myself because they closed and I wasn't going to let my son go to his grandfather's funeral like that. read more

My husband has been getting his haircut from L for over 20 years. He always makes him look sharp and clean. Lawrence has been apart of a lot of family events like proms wedding etc. Today was another milestone for us as our son of 20 months received his first hair cut. L took him in his arms and showed him that everyone their was getting fresh cut. That helped ease my son as he sat on my husbands lap and received his first cut from L. Larry really messed up my hair. I showed him a pic and he scalped my sides. Didn't blend it at all. The sides were cut totally unevenly. I went to someone who tried to fix it. And that's when I could really see the right side was cut much higher than the left. All the guy could do was even it out.. Larry did give me my money back to remove my yelp. But. If I have to walk around for 6 months with jacked up hair. He deserves this review.. I really could cry. My hair is jacked thanks to Larry. It was long and beautiful. All I wanted was a Lil fade up. New to this shop so walking in its not too much to expect to get a cut. No one welcomed me and my son as we sat for over an hour as we were skipped. I finally called them out and said why are they skipping me and my son and they said because I didn't speak up. I don't know the shop but they expect people to know the protocol. So after about 2 hours we finally got a mid cut. Save your time and pass this place. read more

Where do i even begin with this place . I walked in for my first time and Larry was right there on his phone doing nothing told me he would be with me in a bit.... Ok no problem i took a seat.... Finally tells me to come on over and i let him know what i want . Throughout my haircut he must of went on his phone a minimum of 3- 4 times and i didnt even ask for anything too out of control ....he even ordered some food while he was cutting my hair . This guy is a joke and i was charged $50 for a haircut . What kind of business are you running Larry ? Cant wait for yall to get shut down . Ever since I started going to Much Love Barber Shop I have not regretted it one bit. Every time I call, especially at the last minute, Lawrence always tell me to come on through "I got you" no matter what day of the week it is. Lawrence and his other barbers are very skilled in their craft, extremely efficient, and very professional. One of the main reasons I keep going back to Much Love Barber Shop is the quality of my fade. The fade is impeccable! The consistency as well as the overall appearance / decor of the barber shop is inviting. This is a really good barbershop. I've been coming here for almost 2 years and everytime I leave, I leave satisfied with both the haircut I received and the experience I had. This place gives great cuts for a great price. There's a great staff and its always fun coming in and having good conversations with all of them. The owner, Big L, is a really good man. For example, one time, I didn't have enough money for a haircut and he hooked me up for free. You don't find too many people like that around. He's a great guy with a great character. If you're looking for a quality haircut, I definitely recommend going to Much Love. read more

i read over reviews on here. Just moved out to riverside area was looking for a great black owned barber shop with great service and little wait time for my 9 yr old son. it was all that and more. called got big L said ask for him when I arrived he had someone in the chair, 1 person waiting for a touch up, and then my son next we were in and out of there 30-40 minutes top......NOW that is quality efficient service and moreso my son loves his new barber, very reasonably priced and close to home. Thank big L We have most definitely found my sons new barber!! read more

Let me start off by saying we love Lawrence and everyone whom works there. The cuts are fresh and most importantly they listen to what the customer wants. I honestly only come when my kids Father is too busy to bring them & let me say the handful of times I have it's always a great experience. Great first experience. Good haircut and good service from G. Took my friend today on my second visit and as we walked in the employee said, "Can't you read the sign? Go outside and look again." He wanted us to see that their hours indicated they were closed. His attitude and poor character was unnecessary. He could have easily said they were closed. Felt unwelcome and certainly no love! Probably the nicest full service barbershop in riverside. I started comeing about a year ago and Ed is my barber I can't trust anybody else with my cut .The owner Big L is a cool dude too tho..all the barbers are really knowledgable about everything sports current events! I went in to much love last week to get my son a cut. When I entered the shop only 1 of the 4 barbers acknowledged me. He had great customer service and made me and my son feel welcome!
