By far my favorite building downtown! Every time I walk through this building I am so happy. It is clean, bright and refined. The floral bouquets on the skyway level are grand and the blown glass on display in enclosed glass cabinets are beautiful. Although I am not a fan of Peace coffee since their coffee is too strong for my personal taste, I do enjoy lounging in the Capella tower common area right across from Peace on the street level. The seating area is open to the public, warm, inviting and super comfortable. People utilize the various seating areas for casual coffee gatherings, study sessions, business meetings etc. Whether it is during the winter months when the fire place is going or during the winter months when the waterfall is cascading down in the center of the circular seats, the Capella Tower seating area is quite welcoming for any work/study related occasion.

Wow! This place just knocks it out of the park! My boyfriend and I eat out at least once a week,…read moreand this place may have just secured a top 3 spot for 2026!! There is paid parking all around this place but is typically under $5.(as of the posting of the review) We had reservations and were seating right away. Our server was Seth and he was WONDERFUL!!! Like picture the best server you could ever have, and that was Seth! Great recommendations, checked in on us throughout our time there but didn't linger, brought water right away! He was just an absolute delight! The food here was delicious!! We started with the butter board, that is a MUST! The butters were all flavorful! We only wish they had a little bit more bread! The lemongrass wings had EXCELLENT flavor, a spice that does linger (so if you don't do well with spice, there are not for you) they were a little soggy. Wish they had been crunchy! The steak bites were perfection! No notes! The chimichurri tasted so good with the char in the steak! The wild mushroom fettuccine is a must if you like homemade noodles with a fresh sauce! Comfort on a plate! Everything was so good, we decided to get the Affogodo and Chocolate moose cake! Both were terrific! The chocolate moose cake was moist and wasn't too rich, the toasted pistachios added and extra crunch that is not to be missed! The affododo was smooth, and paired so well with the vanilla ice cream! This place has a larger patio area that overlooks a brick street and Minneapolis skyline! Definitely could be a romantic spot for a date! This place was wonderful and we will happily be back!

Our server genuinely looked like he was having a blast chatting with all his tables, such a sweetheart who was on the nose with his recommendations. We went with the Steak Bites starter perfectly seasoned and cooked medium rare with a refreshing chimichurri and decent fried plantains. They were a tad dry but good considering they were made stateside. The Duck Confit Banh Mih was solid with good flavor, decently sized and a fair amount of juicy duck meat. I cannot remember what drinks I had but they were all good with more great options on the menu. I'm loving the moment mezcal has been having on restaurant menus!

Overall: 3/5 This spot delivers solid burgers and chicken…read moresandwiches, but in a Twin Cities food scene packed with strong contenders, it doesn't quite rise above the crowd. The portions are generous, the ideas are there, and a few components really work-but the overall experience stops short of being especially memorable. It's the kind of place I'd be fine returning to if someone suggested it, but not one I'd find myself actively craving. Food [1.5/3] The food was good, just not distinctive enough to stand out among the plethora of burger and chicken sandwich options around the Twin Cities. The portions are definitely hearty, which helps make the meal feel satisfying, but several dishes could benefit from bolder seasoning and better balance. A little more acidity, sauce, or brightness would go a long way in cutting through the richness and giving each bite more personality. Bourbon Chicken Sandwich had a tasty glaze with a pronounced bourbon flavor and paired nicely with the pineapple slaw, which added a welcome hit of acidity and fruitiness against the heavier fried chicken. The bun was soft and lightly toasted, and the chicken portion was massive. That said, the chicken itself was under seasoned, leaving the unglazed bites fairly bland. The pineapple slaw was a great idea, but it was used so sparingly that its flavor only came through occasionally. The come back sauce was overlooked by the glaze. Burnt Chicken Sandwich followed a similar pattern: a very large piece of chicken, but not enough seasoning in the breading to carry the sandwich on its own. The herb mayo added some needed depth and helped elevate the flavor, but the layer was so thin that it got lost in larger bites. With a heavier hand on the sauce and seasoning, this could be much more compelling. When dipped into the side of aioli (cost extra), the flavor profiles were much better. Voodoo Smash Burger was overall underwhelming. The voodoo pepper sauce was easily the highlight and gave the burger a strong focal point, but the sautéed onions and comeback sauce were muted, and the smashed patty itself wasn't especially memorable. The first bite was decent, but the flavor didn't build or evolve, making the rest of the burger feel a bit flat. Service [0.5/1] The service was friendly, however, they were doing what seemed to be a midday clean and prep, which made the visit feel less polished. I also ordered a side of aioli for the fries and wasn't told there would be an additional charge. The cost itself wasn't a concern, but if a condiment carries an upcharge-especially one not listed on the menu-it should be mentioned before it shows up on the bill. Atmosphere/Ambiance [1/1] The space itself has a lot going for it. If you stop in for lunch on a Tuesday, you may catch some cleaning and prep activity, but setting that aside, the decor and ambiance are genuinely pleasant. It's cozy, well lit, and has a nicer feel than you might expect, especially for this part of the east metro. With a little more attention to the dining room experience and a stronger flavor punch in the food, this could be a much more memorable neighborhood stop.

I split a chicken plate and the vegan bowl (plus a side of yuca) with my partner. I can't eat dairy, and it was easy finding items that fit my needs. The vegan bowl was to die for, I loved the mix of curry and pineapple (the best fruit, BTW), it all came together so well. The chicken plate as good too, especially the plantains, the rice and beans, and the sauce. The fried yuca was great too! Our server was great, super attentive. Prices are mid-range, it's not cheap, but the food is worth it. They have a small patio and a larger indoor dining room. All in all, a great spot in NE Minneapolis!

You are supposed to order on the QR code outside which is the only thing I would change because I think it's much quicker and easier to just order with your server. It took more of his time for me to order using the QR code because I had to ask him several questions about how to do it. But aside from that I loved this restaurant and will definitely be back soon!

Here's my review of the food we ordered: Cocktail of the hour - aka "Golden Hour" - 8.5/10 Reminded me of mulled cider, notes of honey, very refreshing Pork Belly Steam Buns - 8.1/10 Nice texture, very tender and flavorful Mini Banh Mi - 7/10 Not bad, would have preferred the more traditional pork filling Crispy Chicken- 8.7/10 This really surprised me, from appearance the chicken didn't look that special but it was well seasoned and the sweet chili glaze really stole the show and elevated this dish! Mirabelle Smash Burger - 8.9/10 I'm a sucker for smash burgers and this one did not disappoint. I wanted to like this place, I really did. But unless they get a different chef in the kitchen,…read morethis place is not going to make it.... Let's start with the positives! The location! Very close to the lake(walking distance) There is a free parking ramp right behind the building. The decor of this place is cute! The details seem like they were well thought out! It feels upscale and cozy! I saw a video of this place and that was what originally drew me in! The seating here is also comfortable and not over crowded. Our server was ok. I saw so many raves about the "amazing service." She did refill our water glasses, which was good because I needed it with the salty steak! Obviously the most important piece is the food. We started with the popovers. The taste was fine but the texture was almost over done. The honey butter was lacking honey flavor. Cinnamon would have really elevated the butter! I got the steak frites and my sister got the spaghetti. My fries were average. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium all the way through! I was impressed. However, it was drowning in a VERY salty sauce! I had push a lot of it off. This should be served on the side, not covering the whole steak. My sister got the spaghetti, which our waitress explained was not a regular spaghetti. I feel she has probably had to do that multiple times and honestly, it should just be renamed. It's confusing for the customer. My sister did say she enjoyed the dish and that the shrimp was ere done well. For dessert I got "Aunties iced latte" which is their version of like an espresso martini. It was just ok. Would not get again. We got the carrot cake which was good!! But then they ruined it by putting fake whipped cream.... This is supposed to be a higher end restaurant and that made the dessert feel so cheap. We also got the creme brûlée. DO NOT ORDER THAT! It is an absolute waste of money! The sugar top was so thick we couldn't eat it! The dessert had the consistency of scrambled eggs, not a smooth custard. The taste seemed ok, but whoever made this does not know what they are doing! Overall, the food was not memorable and a lot of it was done poorly. There are definitely better restaurants in the area.

Very reasonably priced, especially considering that they pay their employees a fair wage and they don't expect tipping (when paying with credit card, you don't even get a receipt with a tip line to sign). If you're dining in, you wait to be seated but can get a drink if there's a wait. They also do a substantial amount of takeout and catering orders. Baby/Kid Friendliness: 4.5/5. They have changing tables in the bathrooms (unisex). They have high chairs available, including the kind with an attached tray, which is great for smaller/shorter babies who are too short in a regular high chair to reach the dining table. No kid's menu, but you can easily order a selection of add-ons and sides to piece together a meal your kid will like. It is generally pretty loud with chatter, so no need to worry if your kid is a little noisy or talkative. Smothered Chicken Plate with Mac and Cheese (4/5) - the sauces are what make this dish - the cream gravy the chicken is smothered in and the red sauce on the side. The chicken was tender. The Mac and cheese was creamy and not too cheesy, which I liked. Roasted Pork Bowl (5/5) - I generally love pulled pork, so I loved this pork. The pork was very flavorful. Good variety of textures, like the tenderness of the pork contrasting the crispy onion strings. Overall a lot of flavor and each bite can taste a little different due to all the things in it. Fried Fish Bowl (5/5) - fried catfish added good crunch to an otherwise soft textured dish. The yams were delicious and the apple based sauce on top gave it extra depth of flavor. The pickled hot peppers are great if you like spice, but easy to avoid if you don't. My only wish was that the fried catfish was thicker cuts of catfish (you do get two strips though!). Coconut-Vanilla Pudding (3/5) - this is a liquidy type of pudding. Light coconut and vanilla flavor, but more of the flavor came from the fresh pineapple it was topped with.
