Flight setup

I'm not really a beer drinker but I really enjoyed my time at this spot. They have a great selection of beers and a very friendly and knowledgeable brew crew. Of the 4 drinks I tried, only the dark stout wasn't finished. The cider was my favorite by far. If you find yourself in this neck of the woods, I would definitely try them out.

Lots of appetizers! Poutine, mozz sticks, fried shrimp and wontons

Very cool spot in Cape Vincent. They've got a number of beers on tap, and lots of yummy food options. We ordered a bunch of apps to share and they were all really tasty. The atmosphere was pretty lively, and they have live music on some weekend nights. The space is an "order at window or bar" kind of environment which worked out well enough. The staff were all very friendly. I would recommend the wontons, fried shrimp and the poutine appetizers!

Beer flight, nicely numbered so you know what you are drinking!

Stopped in this afternoon to check out their new space and it is great! Love all the natural light from the garage doors in the front. Can't wait for them to open them up one afternoon. Also love the leather recliners, I may just become a regular for those and I don't even drink beer! Good thing they also carry The Cape Winery's wine! Husband had a flight of 4 beers. Great size all for $7. Can't wait to come back for more relaxing afternoons! Also super sweet bartender! She shared her cookies!

My family and I were staying a night in Cape Vincent at a friend's house. We decided to head to town and walk around a bit. We hit up the Cape Vincent Brewing Company and discovered that this day (8/4/17) was only their second day being open. The 2 bartenders pouring beer didn't quite seem to have their kinks worked out yet. Or, more like it the guy bartender wouldn't let the woman bartender pour beer, rather she had to stand there and wait for him to either move, or he poured what she needed. Weird system. The first thing I'd like to mention other than the weird bartending system was that it was HOT AS H-E-DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS in there. NO air conditioning! The doors were propped open and there were a few fans on high. Nothing but hot, humid, stagnant air up in this place. (I really hope this was just a temporary issue) Flights are $7 and there is a chalk board with 9 selections complete with descriptions. You can also purchase a half or full glass ($3/5). Interesting concept, a half glass. I didn't mind the Last Cast Lager and the Embark Cider from my sampler. Small bathroom did not have any toilet paper. I let the woman bartender know and she went right to the small storage closet and retrieved 4 rolls of toilet paper and handed ALL of them to me. Both bartenders and I laughed about what I was about to do in that bathroom with all the paper. Haha..... But seriously, don't make me stock your supplies! Did I mention the bathroom is small.... Well, I'm mentioning that again. Felt like a phone booth in there. (oh crap, did I just date myself with that last reference?) Also within this new brewery you will find several different board games to keep you busy. We selected connect four. While the frame was slightly broken, we made do, and I'm the reining champ in our group, if you were wondering! I intend to check this place out next summer when I come back to town. I hope I will have a reason to update my review then. (Photos lacking, my phone died within 10 minutes of being here)r

Spent my childhood summers in this small great town. Really cool to see a local brewery open up!

Spent my summers as a kid in this town. It's really great to see a local brewery open up. Overall this place is very welcoming with a fun atmosphere. The bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable about their beers. At this time they have 4 local beers and 3 guest taps. I got a flight for a reasonable $7 and tried the local blonde ale, lager, IPA and porter. Overall my favorite was the lager. I wasn't a big fan of the other beers but I understand they just opened and are still trying new brews. If you're passing through I would definitely give it a shot! I would love to see what they have in store next summer. What a great local business.

Maybe they were having an off day... But our experience was disappointing. The lack of customer service was upsetting. We were ignored at the bar and our food was served incomplete. The beer was lack luster... Much of what was on draft is from other breweries and we are honestly not sure if any of the beer was brewed there.... Do not recommend..

Michigan Dog

Great location and building is really nice, especially on a nice day. They have a decent variety of beers to choose from that are pretty good. The food is where I lowered the stars. The food isn't very good and not from fresh ingredients. Basic bar food but not much flavor. Husband was not happy with his food. He had the Michigan dog which was a chili dog and tasted like it was out of a can. Had a bunch of onions not cooked with the chili but thrown under it. I had the sliders and was very simple. I would not eat here again but would only come for the beer.

Great beer. Simply great beer. Excited for the new place in 2019. Their stout was delicious. IPA's smooth and balanced.

Kid and family friendly. The beer is great, nothing on their current rotation that isn't enjoyable. I've been several weeks in a row and they've had something new to offer every week. A trend I really hope they continue with. One of my favorite things about breweries this size is a constantly changing rotation and the limited edition feeling when they change their lineups. They have several New England IPAs (hazy IPAs in some circles) that I really enjoy and their ESB is a great summer beer. Easy drinking, light and refreshing. The atmosphere is great. This is a brewery focused on great beer and great conversation. They don't have a kitchen but have bar snacks by way of bags of tasty chips and they do allow you to bring in your own food or get food delivered if you want something heavier. They have some board games you can borrow if you're looking for something else to enjoy while you sip on your beer. The brewery is right in the public square with ample parking in the rear. The bar area gets a bit crowded but the back room usually has plenty of space and a table available. You can order drinks from the bar and walk them back yourself or wait for one of the awesome staff members to walk back and check on you. The volume in the back is conversational making this a great option to catch up with friends over a pint or three. I thoroughly enjoy Boots Brewing Company. I travel a bit for work, and my favorite thing to do when I visit a new location is browse Yelp for breweries. All in all, I've been to between 100-150 craft breweries, so I have a solid baseline for comparison. If you appreciate good beer, you'll appreciate this brewery. If you're idea of good beer comes in a 12 pack that costs less than $15 than this place might not be for you. If you're looking for a bar or a place to watch a game, this also probably isn't your cup of tea.

A LOT OF UNTAPPED POTENTIAL ===========================…read more My husband and I stopped in on Monday, November 18th around 2:00 p.m.. There was hardly anyone inside, yet I had to wait ten minutes to get a table. It went downhill from there. One server for the whole restaurant is a problem. I just ordered a beer and fries. It was cold so my husband just wanted tea. The first cup tasted like coffee that he doesn't like. The second cup was cold. He gave up at that point. Even though it's the only place on the Black River we won't be back.

That said, we really did enjoy the food. It was BOGO beer or pizza. The hubby partook in a beer and we opted to share an appetizer of cheese curds and a fish and chips. I will say I was slightly disappointed with our curds. They were small and most were just empty pieces of batter. The people beside us got a beautifully breaded batch and much more. They tasted good, but still disappointed in the lack of curds (the empty ones). The fish was nice and light and not fishy at all. I really enjoyed the coleslaw and my husband likes the fries. It was just the right amount of crisp without being too much and the perfectly flaky fish. The price wasn't terrible and the lake view is very nice and relaxing.
