This was a beautiful day to sit on the dock and eat outside. Only the occasional seagull to bother you. Please don't feed the seagulls y'all. We want to eat in peace. That said, we really did enjoy the food. It was BOGO beer or pizza. The hubby partook in a beer and we opted to share an appetizer of cheese curds and a fish and chips. I will say I was slightly disappointed with our curds. They were small and most were just empty pieces of batter. The people beside us got a beautifully breaded batch and much more. They tasted good, but still disappointed in the lack of curds (the empty ones). The fish was nice and light and not fishy at all. I really enjoyed the coleslaw and my husband likes the fries. It was just the right amount of crisp without being too much and the perfectly flaky fish. The price wasn't terrible and the lake view is very nice and relaxing. read more

Mosey'd in on a Tuesday around 2:30pm & went to the bar. Immediately greeted by a pleasant staffer named Jake who provided beer/drink & food menus. I went with an IPA named Velvet Lines & went with the recommendations of pork belly tacos from Jake. They were amazing (sorry no pictures)!!! Beers were tasty as well. There was a change of staff and a female took over around 3pm.... Ordered another beer and got a smaller pint glass due to higher alcohol content. Waited 15 minutes for someone to seat me. Sign said go to bar to be seated. No one at the bar. Finally went to the backroom to flag down a waitress. Several more minutes a different waitress comes out to seat me outside. Then I can't even sit by the water when there's only one table outside & one inside occupied. And they want me to sit in the full sun with tiny umbrella that isn't big enough to give shade & broken. With cigarette butts & garbage all over the ground where they wanted me to sit. And the waitress copped an attitude about it. At that point it was 25 minutes and I left. To then have to wait another 10 minutes because someone left there car running in the middle parking lot so I couldn't pull out. Was in the area and decided to grab a few beers and an early dinner. The outdoor deck was a fine way to enjoy the sunshine and look out over the bay. I ordered the Belgian style saison and the grilled salmon sandwich with sweet potato fries. Both were excellent. I wrapped things up with a pint of the cream ale. Another winner. No real complaints other than the service was a bit slow, and there were several hornets who kept investigating my meal. read more

We stopped by this place on a recommendation from a friend. We had a party of 7 and it was very slow on a Sunday afternoon. We were seated immediately. The server came to get our drink order which included five flights and two pints of beer. She came back to inform us that they only had nine glasses to fill the flight order and that three of our flights would need to be canceled. I find this very odd for a brewing company that has so many choices of beer. Your customers would prefer a flight to sample a few of them. She claimed that their glasses break really easily. I don't understand why they didn't have backup cups even if they were plastic. So our party canceled two of the flights and they somehow produced the other three cups needed to fill the four glass sample flights. Maybe nobody there wants to wash dishes??? Oddly enough, a table that was seated probably 10 minutes after us was able to get a flight order filled. Food was middle of the road for most of my party. Fortunately, my pizza was cooked perfect. The other pizzas in my party were overdone. My friend's fried pickles were served in a puddle of oil. The nachos had so much liquid cheese on them that the chips were very soggy and you pretty much had to eat it with a fork. Also, they will not split checks for a party of six or more. They add 20% gratuity for parties six or more. All checks have a 3.5% service fee. I have no desire to return to this place! read more

There were approximately 14 of us that got off the bus today, and ate at 1812 Brewery. Sarah/Sara informed us ahead of time, she was the bartender, waitress and cook, and we could gladly stay if we would be patient. She was excellent, great service and great food! My husband, son, and I visited in early July. We recently were camping in the area and during a particularly rainy Sunday we asked our group of friends who were with us if they wanted to go check out the brewery as we had a pleasant visit last month. We went to grab lunch and a pint, and it was truly awful there. The beer was good however the service was absolutely horrific. Upon seating Adele informed us that as a party greater than 6, she would not be splitting the bill. Gratuity was 20% and then there was another service fee of 3.5%. It was not a friendly introduction to the restaurant. We ordered flights, Adele was our server and I am sure it was a 'don't blame the messenger' situation, but she came back to our table of 7 and said they were out of flight glasses and then just looked at us. I changed to order a pint as I just had a flight the month before. She never said thanks for being accommodating, my husband asked if we could just wait for dishes to be done and have flights and she didn't even bother responding. She just waited for more people to change to pints vs flights. It was a Sunday afternoon. There was our party and one other table in the brewery. No one was at the bar. There was absolutely no reason for a brewery to be out of glasses. Our lunch then came out. My pizza in July was fantastic. You can see the updated pics that the pizza's cheese was burned and the crust was so over done it's shameful to charge people for it. My friend got the fried pickles and they were raw and uncooked. Another friend had ordered French onion soup and there was no broth- pure oil. Adele then charged her for the soup and my friend asked for it to be taken off - Adele was NOT friendly at all and gave my friend a nasty face and went to say something several times but she changed her mind and walked away to take the soup off the bill. Unfortunately, this will be our last visit here unless there is a complete change in their service. Unfortunate that we were forced to leave a 20% gratuity for such awful service. My friends and I were a pretty amicable group and did not complain or have attitude with the server. Her treatment of guests of the business was very appalling and shameful. read more

I would not recommend this place for food. I ordered fried pickles and french onion soup. The soup was not great at all. The was luke warm at best and very greasy. I sent it back after the first taste. The fried pickles were cold and raw. They were stuck together, and as you can see from the picture, they were soaked in grease. The waitress dismissed my concerns with the soup and ended up still charging me for it. I had yo ask for it to be removed from the check, and in return, I was given a dirty look as to how dare I ask that. I did not address the pickles. However, seeing as how I didn't eat them, I feel as though the waitress should have asked. I would not recommend it. read more

We had an excellent experience. Lauren was our waitress and she was so nice and easy to talk to. We had our 7 year old with us and it was a great environment for all of us. Our food was all delicious and even though my daughter's burger came with cheese initially (she asked for no cheese) it was fixed super quick and we avoided a meltdown. Saw that they were having afternoon music on the deck and wanted to hang out for a bit. Pros-great view of Lake Ontario from the deck and a very good margarita! Nice waitress as well. The gentleman singing was also good. Cons-the beer was expensive! $7 for one dog fish head. Had dinner here this evening and besides a few little issues with service everything was pretty good! Walked in and had to go to bar to be seated and found out that the bartender was the only server as well. A new server came in about 20 minutes after but a little odd that on a Saturday evening (st. Patrick's Day no less!) that they only had a very minimal staff. Food wise: Had the pretzels with beer cheese-yummy! Shepherds Pie-special of the night, excellent! Let's start with with service - rude,terrible,stuck up. The waitresses didn't even help with the menu or the beer choices. All we were told is "you must order food to drink" the restaurant is wholesome and beautiful by the water though. And They never checked out IDs for drinking alcohol. (We both are 25,26 but still) The food- WE PAID 14 dollars for six damn chips and bacon but sized "duck" this place is beyond a rip off and we will never return. Not to mention sloppy presentation and looks like a seagull pooped on the "nachos " The drinks- we weren't told price or any detail about getting a "flight" - the waitress just slammed the drinks down to the point they spilt, then left without describing any of the brews also WHY WAS OUR FLIGHT SERVED ROOM TEMP. We were wondering where the seagulls were coming from! We stayed in Watertown for two nights and saw seagulls flying overhead. It didn't occur to us right off the bat our close proximity to Lake Ontario. Sackets Harbor was 10-15 minutes from our hotel and it came highly recommended. My colleague ordered a full flight of all their beers and I ordered their clams. The broth was a bit too salty for me, but I suppose their recipe's main concern was the clams. The bread that came with the clams were cheap. I guess my biggest disappointment was that our server looked like he just rolled out of bed. As if he was a random guy pulled from the street and made to work. Unkempt servers never improve restaurant reviews. He was attentive at least. The location of this place was great as it was on the water. The harbor itself has plenty of picturesque scenes for picture taking and has historic value. read more

After waiting 15-20 minutes with no service we went to the bartender who said to go to the hostess who wasn't there. After spending 20-25 minutes with no attention, we left. Came here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch before exploring the historical town of Sackets Harbor!! It's right in town, walking distance from many restaurants, shops, and the battle field. It was a gorgeous day so we sat out on the deck overlooking Lake Ontario- absolutely gorgeous views!! They have a great selection of beer & a full bar. The menu is also on point. It was hard to choose because there are so many great, and unique options (for example- DUCK NACHOS!!!) that I wish I tried. I ended up getting the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and sweet potato fries. Everything was absolutely delicious. I wish I saved room for dessert because their dessert menu literally made me drool... peanut butter landslide cake .... housemade cannolis.... the list goes on and on. I should have listened to the reviews. Positive is service was very friendly and attentive. Negatives - I am not sure how they are a brewery they had 5 beers on draft. One being blue moon which every bar has. No flights on menu but when asked we could have one out of the 5 drafts they offered. Only one maybe 2 were local. They came and 4 of the 5 were warm. Ordered the muscles appetizer which was $20 had muscles in the plate that had not opened and although tasty was very salty. Nice spot on the water but tons of flies and bees outside - we moved inside pretty ambiance. Table was super sticky and flies were popular. Would not go back. read more

Phenomenal *appetizers options were broad and delicious! *the height of the tables was abnormally tall and actually pretty cool Cons: *Staffers seemed to be on edge during our visit. I was so disappointed because I have looked forward to come here for weeks. We ordered the seafood chowder, cheese curds, crab cake sandwich, shrimp tacos, and two kids meals. I've had lunch here several times. The view of the water and outdoor seating is nice and the wait staff is always friendly. Unfortunately the food just isn't very good. On my last visit I asked to add shrimp to my caesar salad, which came with an $8 up charge. I was surprised that I received only 4 shrimp that had no flavor. My husband had the pork tacos and they were bland, mushy, and boring. The table next to us, which had two orders of the tacos, complained about the same things. The waitress suggested adding bbq sauce which made them slightly better. In the future we will try one of the other restaurants in this area. read more

Love this place! Amazing views and food! We drive an hour one way just to come here for lunch or dinner.

Mixed review for this place w/ an asterisk*. We were traveling with our dog and called ahead to make sure our furry friend would be welcome. They did tell us that we would have to sit at the lower patio and that we would have to order at the bar. We assumed that there would be a bar accessible near by, but it was not. Doesn't make sense that they couldn't take our order. The other patio was less than 10 feet away and the wait staff walked past us several times. The bartender did bring our food out and made sure we had everything we would need, so it would have been two stars if not for her. Food was ok. We ordered three burgers, ranging from rare to medium-well, and they all came out the same. The fries were above average. The beer menu was pretty limited for a "brewery" and both beers were luke warm, though they didn't taste too bad. Lower patio was pretty dirty with toothpicks and cigarettes all around. Only shade was one broken umbrella. We won't be back, even without the dog. read more

I want to love this place but I can't. I've always had a good experience with the bartenders and waiters - they're friendly people with good intentions. However it seems like every visit the kitchen just can't get it together -- what could be a 45 minute meal turns into 2.5 hours. The food is usually good but you wait so long to get it it's hard to tell if you'll ever eat. They struggle with the details -- out of their own beer, overflowing trash can in the bathroom, etc. They have an amazing summer view which is why I think they're still making it. Overall this place could be booming but something is lacking. read more

With staffing shortages we plan to have it take a long time but to wait literally hours and then for all the food to be awful for a party of 6 is such a bummer. Waitress handled herself well and she was the only positive part of the experience. They have to stop letting staff smoke, congregate and vape on the side of the building within view and hearing distance of customers. It's repulsive. The view remains awesome. The beer is good, not a big selection, but what they have is good. I like the 1812, but I tried the cherry wheat ale. It's not there fault and I didn't deduct stars because of it, but yuck. So, about the food. We ordered the cheese curds and wings. Both were delicious and the curds where out of this world. (Hard to mess up anything that's deep fried) For an entree, I ordered the rocket wrap, which was a wrap with chicken, hot sauce, lettuce, tomato and bacon with a side of Gorgonzola sauce. I'd never had it before so I tried it. I was very happy with it, until I bit down on something that was very very crunchy. I thought at first it might be a piece of batter that was deep fried, but then I realized it was grilled chicken. Turns out I had chewed a chicken bone and I found 2 more in the wrap. I wasn't happy.
