The grounds are gated, which is great, the swimming area is amazing, the store is loaded with all sorts of grocery items and just about anything you could need, they have an ice cream stand, a snack shack, canoes, paddle boats, an inflatable water park area, golf cart rentals, an arcade and so much more!!! We will definitely be spending a lot of time here this coming season. read more

With the pandemic causing many people to trade in tropical getaways for more local adventures, we were led to Maple Park. I can honestly say that I have never had this much fun camping in my life! They accommodate both tent and RV campers, there is a spot to please anybody. The facility is secure, and you will feel good knowing that people that don't belong will not get past the gates. They have an amazing store, with all sorts of camping gear, food, firewood, and plenty of ice. They also rent golf carts for use around this beautiful, massive park. There is a beach, swimming area, food shack, and even an ice cream shop. Not only do they offer a variety of regular and seasonal events, they do an amazing job of putting them together and getting people involved. We had the pleasure of being there for their Halloween celebration, including a massive golf cart parade, costume and decorating contests as well. Considering all that you get, their fees are very reasonable. So why not give camping a try and get yourself to Maple Woods to join in on the fun! read more

Stay away from site 74. Right next to the bathrooms, people were driving their golf carts through my site, while we were sitting at the fire, while we were sleeping. Quiet time is not enforced. Site 74 should be bathroom parking but greedy people want to make a little more money. Two stars given because of amenities, swimming, snack shack, camp store, boat rentals. read more

Besides the nice staff and quiet at night there is NOTHING good about this campground. The problem is they let anyone come in to use the lakes, which makes it super crowded and no étiqueté of the guests coming in for the day what so ever. They treat it like a public beach, have zero respect for anyone else around. Hog sand with chairs though they're not currently using the ponds. Also, the "fishing pond" is overrun with Lilly pads and there is no access to fish. We won't be back. I don't recommend for camping experience. Also, cars and golf carts flying around everywhere at all times without regard to the speed limit. read more

I was very disappointed. At first look, it seemed like a nice campground. My first visit and only visit someone went in my tent when I wasn't at my site and stole my belongings. My air mattress was flipped, others were moved, my boys clothes were stolen and more.... I reviewed them on their Facebook page and my review was blocked. I guess it's no surprise the fb page has them rated a 5 star, because they control the reviews that stay up. My review on Facebook-"This was our first visit to this Campground. We will definitely not be back. Someone went into our tent flipped our air mattresses, stole my son's clothes, air pump, lanterns, books, and the list goes on. When I reported it to the office, they claimed they would look into it, that it has never happened before at their campground and ultimately said I left my tent unattended. After discussing with others that have camped here, it's seems to be a security issue. Three other sites have also had things stolen just this year." read more

An enormous Golf Cart Rodeo! People in all maner of golf carts whizzing by at all hours of the night and day in a giagantic dust cloud that permeates everything you own. Some of the Golf carts are decorated with colorful lights, others have thumping ghetto style sound systems. If you are a Golf Cart Cowboy, this is the place for you. Yeeeeeeeehawwwwww! Since we are not Golf Cart Cowboys, the place kind of sucked. If you're not a Golf Cart Cowbow and don't enjoy chewing on dust and sand, you may want to skip this place. read more

Just wrapped up my tenth annual stay here, we have been staying for a week every summer since 2014. Every year we camp with family from out of state and we always have a great time. That being said, it seems as though we have been overlooking all of the shortcomings of the campground because of the fun we were having. This place is tough to navigate if your towing a larger camper, other campgrounds that I've frequented over the years will groom the roads by trimming or removing trees and brush so that you are able to maneuver into or out of your campsite more easily. Many sites could use some updating to accommodate todays larger multi-slide rigs as well. Our most recent site required extensions to the water supply and the sewer because the hook ups were so poorly planned out, the the water and electric shouldn't be 30+ feet from the sewer inlet. In previous years we were able to get sites in the sun valley area which was only a short walk to the rest rooms. Our most recent stay had us much further back in the campground where there are no bathroom or shower facilities at all. The icing on the cake for me was the fact that I my reserved my site for me my wife and two of my three sons. I made the reservation this way because one son was going to be leaving before anther was coming in, never more than two at one time. When I went to the office to get a different car pass they wanted to charge me for an additional person on the site. When I tried to explain that one son had left and that my other son was merely replacing him I was told "doesn't work that way, it's a different person you need to pay". So just like many campgrounds, when they become more popular customer service goes out the window because they know if you go, someone else will just take your place. I think if the office had just given me an updated car pass for my other son I might have considered coming back again but as they say, it's the little things. read more

My sister and law and I reserved two nights last summer for this past weekend and let me tell you that it was the best decision! When we booked last August there was only a cabin for rent and we decided to commit. They had a payment plan which was nice and made it more affordable. We had 6 people in total including 3 adults and 3 children ranging 7-13 yrs old. When we arrived we could look toward the lake and trees which was a beautiful scene. When we entered the cabin we could see how newly built and clean it was. The cabin consisted of two bedrooms, one when a bunk bed, twin bed on top and full on bottom, the second bedroom with a queen size bed. The living room/kitchen held a sturdy futon bed, tv, dining room table and full kitchen. We noticed a full size bathroom and ac as well. The rooms had ceiling fans! There was a grill outside, fire pit and gazebo for us to use as well. Saturday night they had a golf cart parade where drivers decorated theirs with lights, music and decor and drove around the site throwing glow sticks and candy! Will definitely be going back! July 5, I biked down Cape Cod from Provincetown, meaning to camp out at the Jellystone Cape Cod at Maple Park. Unfortunately, when I arrived after 80 miles and 7 hours of bicycling, I discovered that as they are a "family campground", they were unwilling to rent a campsite to me because I was there by myself -- that is, that I wasn't a "family". The fact that they discriminated against me alone and would have most likely been fine with me if I had someone else along is reprehensible and infuriating. Avoid these prejudiced bastards if at all possible -- maybe losing a shitload of business will make them rethink their idiotic and shortsighted policy. read more

Not the best I've ever been too but certainly one of the best around the lower cape. Heavily wooded with good size sites. Small but nice beaches good for kids. Helpful staff have been friendly my two times here with my family. Yes there are some rules so all can enjoy their personal camping styles like quiet time and no kids on trails after 10, but no the staff is not hovering around trying to ruin your fun...just don't be idiot and respect other people's space. read more

Came to this campground for the first time. We live close by and ususaly drive further away for camping but this was a last. minute trip. Every contact with a staff member has been great They are all very polite and want to make your stay the best possible. I found that the site we got was a little on the smaller side but laid out very nicely. The best part about this campground is the beach area. They have 2 small ponds that are all sand and you can swim on the beach/shore at any point on the ponds leaving plenty of room even when busy. we also rented some boats for a while and the process was painless and a good value. The Camp store is equally awesome and the prices are unbelievably low for a camp store. We had forgot a spatula and were able to get a nice one for under 4 dollars. They also have tons of activities for the kids every day. We will definitely be returning in the future. My only critical observation would be the online booking. i wish you could see actual site availability online instead of filling out a form and getting a call back. read more

Great location, nice swim ponds, helpful staff, lots of activities for young kids. The main roads into and in the park are completely made of sand, dirt and gravel very dusty, by the time you get there 1/2 mile in, you're vehicle is covered in dust. Highly recommend they upgrade the roads, pave the main roads, or water them down every day. I stayed their as a kid and they used to water the roads every day.... My kids were dusty all weekend and had dirty feet, recommend you have your kids wear sneakers and socks vs. flip flops. Bathrooms and showers were well below expections, not very clean, showers were full of sand and dirt... hence pave the roads, less sand in the showers, etc. The newest shower house was nice, but the walkways were landscaped with sand, so right after my kids showered they were covered in sand again.... Also, we popped into our tent for a minute at 10pm, and a staffer came into our site with bucket of water to put the fire out. Safety is fine, but seriously ask first.... read more

This is a fantastic park. It feels remote without being too far off the beaten path. The camp has clean sites, a well-groomed lakeside beach, plenty of activities throughout the summer, a warm and welcoming staff, and the perfect location for day trips around Cape Cod. It also has killer ice cream and snack stands! There are a number of rules intended to make the park a safe, fun, and family-friendly environment. This means you won't have to deal with drunken neighbors blasting music at 2 am or kids speeding around in golf carts. Be sure to make reservations early - spots go quick. read more

I realized as I was reading through that many of the reviews are old and in some cases accurate under the old management. That was then. This is now. It's really a beautiful campground and great for kids; lots of activities and many shallow areas of the pond for swimming. The management is new in the last 4 years or so and does a good job. They are not up your butt. I've previously experienced a lot of the complaints here from coming onto the site to put out fires to being overbearing but that was under different management. Are there some issues? of course. No place is perfect for everyone. This is a big place. Try it again though, I think you'd like it. read more

I've been going to this campground since I was a couple of months old and have always enjoyed this camp. They provide so many activities for everyone and now with the outbreak of Covid-19, they are definitely safe and clean. My little brother has a peanut allergy and wanted some ice cream so I went to get ice cream and told the friendly workers (with masks on) about the situation. They made sure everything was very sanitized and cleaned in order to make the order so no allergic reactions happen. I have to say I am 100% impressed with this campground. Nowhere I have been had they taken this many precautions in cleaning and taking care of a customer. read more

Came back to this park with my family after camping here as a child. Wonderful facility, great ponds and decent campsites. That's where the accolades end. In the first 4 hours at the park my children were reprimanded by staff no less than 4 times.How they rode bikes, where they played Frisbee, riding bikes on the pavement, where they fished. I should have known when I received a six page rules guide this would not be completely relaxing. To take things further another guest thought they were the neighborhood watch and advised my son where he could fish when in the middle of a pond far from any swimmers. If this park wants to attract families they need to focus on needs of families and lighten up. We do not camp looking for a party but we don't like to be constantly under a microscope. read more

I'm sure it is a lovely campground. Might review it someday, but doubt it. Made a reservation for a weekend, and canceled a few days before going due to rainstorm weather. Granted it is a all weather campground. All $ forfeited. I get it. However, we have been camping for years and in this type of situation one of two things happen....$15 fee retained and funds returned, or request to apply $ to future date granted. Here she said sorry, all two days deposit was forfeited...no refund (ok with that), no credit to a future date!!!! Come-on!!! read more

This is a family campground. They left out the white family only part. There are general lee painted golf carts driving around. I think other campers thought I was muslim. My dark tan and beard sometimes people make that mistake. The campers around us said and did some pretty creepy stuff like stand at the edge of are site and stare at me. I tried to talk to him and he stood there silent. Another guy kept trying to get his dog to fight mine. There's lots more. We stayed one night and couldn't wait to leave. read more

We have been coming to this family oriented camp ground for years. It is fantastic. For everything from Tent dwelling up to major RV's. Good campsites if you looking for wooded sites. Quiet time after 10pm and lights out at midnight. So no real concerns about "non-family" sites up all night next to you. Very pet friendly as well. read more

We love this place. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The swimming pond has a clean sandy bottom. The event staff is very creative and do a great job of keeping the kids occupied having fun from early morning into the evening. This year there have been a number of great additions to the breakfast and lunch menu at the Snack Shack. This is a great place to camp for all ages. read more

My husband and I have 2 girls. We have been going to Maple Park for 11 years. We love it so much that 3 years ago decided to go seasonal. It was the best decision we've made for our family. My kids and us have made so many friends. We started in tents and now have a trailer. The sites are perfect size. The park is spotless! The lake is beautiful and groomed every morning. Bathrooms are clean. They have activities for the kids and their beach dance parties are another bonus! We would highly recommend Cape Cod Maple Park!!!! read more

Let me first say that the other two reviews regarding this campground are negative and couldn't be further from the truth. Camping is a business and for these people to turn someone down just because they are by themselves on a bicycle just doesn't make any sense. They need the money to survive and it may be that their tent sites were booked to capacity that particular weekend. Or it could be that they pictured this person on the bike to be somewhat of a vagrant who may have posed a safety risk to some of the other campers. It is their decision to protect their property from undesirables. As for the lady from Whitman, is there anything that you could say that would put this campground in a positive light. Talk about negative. Sometimes you get a certain type of person that will complain about just about anything because they are so miserable in their own life that they want to drag everyone else down with them. My family and I have been coming to this campground every year for the last 7 years and the place is only improving from year to year. It is wooded and pleasant and the people are friendly and helpful who work there. New management took over two years ago and the campground has instituted many great changes which make it even better. Clean showers and bathrooms, NEW laundry facilities, Great activities for children and adults, bingo for kids and adults, kayaking , paddleboats, basketball courts, playground for young children, Yogi Bear, Daisy Bear and Boo Boo, who are often seen around the campground, two huge clean manmade ponds, ice cream stand, snack shack by the beach, fresh coffee in the morning, a general store with gifts and convenience store, an archaic arcade that the kids love to hang out in, hayrides, a pond just for the dogs if you should have one, cranberry bogs surrounding the whole campground for some enjoyable picturesque walks, outdoor movie nights, indoor movies at the day room on a rainy day, arts and crafts, henna tattoos for the kids, and the list goes on and on. The best thing about this campground is that you don't have to leave to go spend money somewhere else. Everything you need is right here at the campground and if you should need something the supermarket or other stores are just a 10 minute ride away. The only reason that I give the park a 4 star rating instead of 5 is that some of their electrical connections on certain sites need to be updated. The 20 amp service on some waterfront sites are not sufficient to meet the needs for camping. These need to be upgraded to justify the higher cost of these sites. It's just good business. So don't let these negative reviews deter you from a truly wonderful camping experience. Happy Camping. read more

So much for a weekend family relaxing Vacation I am purtogese and my family is capeverdean you wouldn't think in 2016 that racism is still in rare form we spent over $800 for two nights and were treated like scum and watched the whole time we were there we had a golf cart taken away from us because my niece who was 18 yrs old and black was driving it another guest was whispering and harrassing her and found her loop hole to get her off of it she was supposed to be 21 didn't matter if she had a license never the less would have respected that decision if it came from security not another camper quiet time is 10:00 we had are kids quiet and music off at 9:30 yet we still got a complaint we were to loud when it came time to check out we made sure our campers were cleaned with a fine comb to avoid any other comments when I went back to see if everything was okay the miserable face maid said they were missing one fork I happen to walk by another camper and there it was on the ground funny thing was we didn't even use there silver wear then we returned our golf cart 1 hour late and got charged a $25 dollar fee I guess that's the best they could come up with to rub our horrible vacation more in our face mind you we didn't even check in till 5 this place does not even deserve one star we were harassed and my kids had to experience racism at its finest for the first time in there life we will never return and neither will our family we could have stayed at a 5 star resort for the money we spent to feel defeated and less than it is obviously a community there and they don't want anyone who don't fit in as they fly there confederate flags high so sad and bothered by our stay here I hope other people read this and take offense to it do not give these people our hard earned money to judge us on your skin color and I'm white and I'm sure if my family was to there would have been no problems I have opened my eyes to the hate that is out there and I'm disgusted and saddened by there behavior God doesn't judge us on our skin color and these people will pay for there sins one day mark my words read more

I drove done to visit some close friends down at the camp ground and when i pulled up the guard at the front was very rude. He told me no visitors this weekend at all, I had told them that the father of the family was coming up to talk to me. As I was talking with the father the guard yells out if you try to sneak him in you will be kicked out of the camp ground;even though our conversation had nothing to do with that. So I had left the camp ground unhappy and frustrated. Not a nice place. read more

I was there for the Holiday Weekend and the the sign on the store said OPEN MONDAY MAY 28 2012 9-5. At noon I went to the office and they said the store was closed for the day. I think management should be aware. Otherwise I would consider coming back next year. Very clean. read more

My family and I love this campground! Their sites are big and shady...not like parking lots, like some other campgrounds we've been to. There are tons of activities everyday...always something to do. They have a camp store, a snack shack, and an ice cream shack. They have clean, sandy ponds. They even have a separate pond for dogs! There are free daily fire truck rides around the campground that the kids love. The staff is very friendly and helpful, too. This is our favorite campground!! I'm giving this place only 3 stars. It would be very easy for them to get more stars with a few minor changes. From about the mid 70s to the late 80s my family had a seasonal site at maple park. Some of my greatest childhood memories are from here. My mother worked part time in the store and I even worked there for a summer as a young teen earning some important candy money. It was really a great place to camp. Fast forward to present time. I'm now in my 40s and my girl and I buy a small camper to take the kids on some family camping fun. We go to a few camp grounds and I decide to go back to maple park remembering how much I loved it as a kid. It's gotten quite a bit bigger but with the same awesome essentials like clean swimming ponds, entertainment etc. Now for the dislikes. Many more rules, and I understand that you have to have rules, but you also have to have common sense when enforcing rules. You cannot light a camp fire until after 430 and it must be out by midnight. Ok. Fine. Those are the rules. Not too many people set an alarm for midnight and at 1202 a guy comes flying over to our site and rudely tells us to put out our fire. Fine, my girl gets up to get a pitcher of water and use that bathroom (number 1) and before she gets back to the fire he comes flying back in and says " I told you once to put out the fire and if you have a problem doing so, I can come over and help you". Just a total hard ass and really no need for an attitude and quite frankly, I don't need help putting out a (small) fire due to the fact I am a firefighter. It was now 1205. So we put out the fire and put a very small lantern (1 aa battery) on a rock and continue to sit there sipping a drink. Some other guy comes flying over with a golf cart telling us he was just at the bathroom and could hear us laughing and we needed to either shut up or go to bed. First off, our site was in full view of the bathroom and he came from the complete opposite direction so he is lying. Secondly, I'm 44 and this clown is not going to tell me what time I'm going to bed. So for the next two hours he drove back and forth past our site with lights off in golf cart just waiting for us to be " loud". gimme a break. I understand they must deal with partying a lot but that wasn't us. We were 6 adults having a drink after the kids are in bed. Nothing more, nothing less. I even asked the guy in the tent trailer next door if he heard us and his exact words were " I didn't hear a peep out of you guys and my bed was only about 30 feet from your fire separated by a plastic and canvas wall" He too could not believe how they treated us. The rest of the staff were nice. Hey maple park, here's a tip. If you want people to come back, train your staff on how to talk to people with respect. It takes years to build a good reputation and 5 minutes to ruin it.... All in all, the kids were well behaved and had fun so we will probably try it again hopefully without the pissy attitudes of the night "park police" read more
