Happy Together Tour was fun, Little Anthony, The Vogues, The Cowsills, Jay and The Americans, and The Turtles were all very good. Gary Puckett has absolutely lost his voice and he can't sing at all anymore. it's sad, in that Gary had one of the best voices in rock at one time, but now he's a bad lounge act. read more

It's such a cool venue but the volunteer ushers are so pushy and rude. The other night they couldn't stop scolding people around me that it was so distracting during the show. So not relaxing. They are all too serious! The bar closing early is pretty sad too! read more

What a treasure we have on the Cape for a music venue! There is no bad seat and they attract a good array of talent. My only complaint is the smoking section that is by the ladies room. It's time it should be eliminated. The smell of smoke wafts into the tent and outdoor area. read more

This is one of my favorite places to see a show! As a music venue it is incredibly unique and special. The rotating stage feature is quite rare and so everyone gets the same view no matter your seating location. Plenty of parking on site but it's very walkable from downtown Hyannis and nearby areas. Prices are also completely reasonable for the quality performances they host each Summer. I wish they went a bit deeper into September with show but with tourist season and school year starting it makes sense when their calendar ends. I also wish they would put up all the tent flaps around d the venue but was told due to neighbors complaints they only put up the flaps for the egresses. It can get hot in there. Highly recommend. Great view of stage from pretty much anywhere! It's not a big venue. The frozen watermelon drink is good, but know that it does have alcohol in it. I had no idea! Parking is free, but it can take a while to leave. Jim jeffries was great! Cheesecake! (Inside joke) read more

The acoustics here are horrible, even when the performer is speaking, the sound is distorted and unintelligible. Lines at the concessions take forever as they're understaffed. If it's hot and/or humid, you'll roast inside and end up soaked with sweat. A hellish night out. read more

Get some fans or air circulating for the people watching the show! It was 20 degrees cooler outside and I was melting in the tent! There is no reason for people to feel like they are sitting in a sauna when the weather outside the tent is comfortable. My husband and I have been attending concerts at the Melody Tent for many years. It's a great, intimate venue. Last year we purchased a membership but let it lapse when we were disappointed in the 2023 lineup. We were really excited to see that Bonnie Raitt was going to be playing there in 2024. As members have a full week to purchase tickets prior to the general public we dutifully waited until 10am this morning when tickets went on sale to the public. Surprise! At 10 am the venue was completely sold out. Now I'm fine with members getting first dibs--why else would you purchase a $100 membership? But, to allow the members to buy out the entire venue so that they can scalp tickets is just plain cheesy. read more

We saw Brothers Osborne and Ashland Craft at Cape Cod Melody Tent last night.They were phenomenal.!!!From the moment they stepped onto the stage right through to their last song , they were high energy and ,seemed so happy, to be sharing their songs. The crowd was standing /dancing from beginning to end.This is a small venue, so it felt personal and it was a treat to be so close to the band. We could clearly see Ashland Craft's content face and sparkling eyes as she sang to us.This place was clean and the free parking was a plus. We're super fortunate to have music of this caliber,right here at home in this venue!!! read more

Be warned...if the venue doesn't sell enough tickets, the stage won't rotate and your seats could be a huge disappointment. Not worth the money paid. Be prepared to wait to get out as the parking is stacked. If you have an emergency and need to leave early, you're stuck. read more

The Cape Cod Melody Tent is definitely the most unique concert venue I've ever been to. I saw Adam Lambert perform here last summer. We were in the second row and had a spectacular view, but I think the same can be said about most of the seats here. The tent itself is about the size of a typical circus tent, so everyone is close enough to get a great view of the performers. The stage is circular and rotates, so nobody is stuck watching the performers' backs the entire time, even though you inevitably will experience at least part of the concert this way. The one small complaint that I have is that the staff working there wasn't very friendly or helpful. There were different entrances depending on where your seats were, so there was some slight confusion on where we should be lining up. When we asked an employee where we should go, she just kind of gestured one way and didn't really say anything. Then while we were waiting in line, another employee tried to take away my digital camera, when everyone around me had cameras of the very same kind. So that was a little frustrating, but it wasn't enough to ruin what was otherwise a really great time. read more

Fabulous venue for a show. Just saw Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons here. Granted he's 70 something years old, but he put on a great and entertaining show. Only downfall to the Melody Tent he pointed out when he said "how does it feel to be in a huge jacuzzi?'. On hot nights at the Tent, like this night, it gets so hot under there that the act better be good or else youd fall asleep! I love the size of the Tent, no matter where you sit you have a good view and the show feels personal. Also, given that the stage is in the round, you can see the performance from all different perpsectives! Decent food selection, and lots of beer on tap (and they even have Guiness in a can!). They keep the bathrooms clean, and this is a huge plus compared to other area outdoor venues (i.e. Comcast Center). You can park at the local area businesses for free, making it a true stress free concert experience. Enjoy! read more

CRAZY about this place as a venue, I have been 3 times this summer for country concerts and have the time of my life. It seats 2,000 but it feels like 200, there are NO bad seats. No matter where you sit, you're always so close to the stage and performers. PLUS THE STAGE ROTATES!! So you're always front and center, at least part of the show. Lots of food and drink vendors around the entire tent, though the beer closes about half way through the shows during the season. Parking isn't bad, I recommend parking in town and walking to your car after for a quick escape otherwise traffic can be rough. I'm obsessed with this place and have never been to a concert venue like it, so I highly recommend catching a concert or show here in the summer if you have a chance! read more

I'm surprised many people rated this place 5 stars. It's a fine place to see a concert. Small and intimate. It's a circular stage, surrounded by seats. During concerts the stage rotates. While this makes it fair that everyone sees the band at all angles, though the sound changes as the band rotates. Maybe it would do less during an acoustic show, but we saw Susan Tedeschi/Derek Trucks Band, who had two guitars, two keys, 3 singers, bass and 2 drummers. At points the direct sound gets to you and as the stage rotates some things are louder than others. Acoustics aside, every member of the band could interact with the crowd at anytime because there is really no "back" of the stage. I think this place would be great for small musical acts and comics (which is what they do alot). For full out musical shows, I think there's better venues. The seats are small, and a little uncomfortable. The concessions are pretty good, on par with most of the venues this size. The parking was a little concerning. They have attendants telling patrons where to park. Most places where there are open area lots (like the comcast center, or gillette stadium) there are two rows of cars and then a row to allow for exit. Here they pack in the cars bumper to bumper, which means you can't leave early if you ever need to. Luckily we were parked in the second to last row, and the car behind us got to their car at the same time. We backed out and left right away, but you are at the mercy of the cars parked around you. read more

Otherwise, terrible environment: 1) Hot as Hades 2) Cramped 3) Stacked parking-you're not leaving until the people around you go 4) Rotating stage is lame and stops for about the last 1/2 hour, so you're SOL if the artist's back is toward you. Musicians - Josh Turner, Darius Rucker, Steve Miller, The Temptations, The Four Tops, etc. Small, intimate setting. May get warm inside tent if its humid outside,so dress cool. Easy, free parking.(Can't leave early. Park cars bumper to bumper so they can squeeze them all in). We had a great time. Loved it! read more

Prices are TWICE the amount compared to off-Cape. I have been coming to the Melody Tent since the late 70's when we would have dinner next door and listen to the concert! Fun and cheap. The melody tent was always a great place to see a band up close and personal along with the tickets being a fair price. That has since changed. Now their tickets are TWICE the price of other New England venues. Just mentioning this. Nothing else had changed about the venue. They have not upgraded it in decades. They can charge more, so they do!!! The American way. I just feel ripped off. Compare their prices to the South Shore Music Circus venue. 50% less in Cohasset. read more

This is an awesome place for a concert. Every seat is literally within 50 feet of the stage - that's impressive! Easy parking and it's in a nice setting. Every single person I talked to that works here was great and went out of their way to help. You do feel like the performer has their back to you for most of the show because of the rotating stage. But it's hard to argue such a small place. Really unique when so many other music venues are much different than this. I'd love to see more of the younger/modern acts - many of them here are throwbacks. read more

Cape cod melody Tent is horrendous. Went to see Lee Brice tonight. My girl friend and I walked in at 850 pm. Lee Brice went on at 9pm. We listened to 2 songs I went to purchase 2 beers at 9 15. Beer stands all closed. 2 songs in you can not buy a beer. I seeked out the managers and explained I just walked in 20 minutes ago can I purchase 2 beers for my girlfriend and I. He said no. This place is terrible. I will not go there again. I'm almost 60 years old not some drunk punk. They would not allow me to get in the line to purchase a beer. Cape Cod Melody Tent sucks. The managers can't even make an educated desicon. 15 minutes into the show you can't by a beer. Honestly I was surprised the rest rooms stayed open read more

Went to last Friday night Chris Daughtry and it was 100° outside the venue, what was worse was The stage was defective in only turned 3/4 of a ways around. I went and told the manager and I also called the next day to explain how we had to end up leaving because of the defect in the stage and I have gotten no response. The best concert venue I have ever been to! Not a bad seat in the house! You're so close to the performers and the stage rotates (slowly), so you're always getting a different view! Things you need to think about before going: 1) It's under a tent, so dress appropriately because it will be warm. 2) Parking. If you choose to park in the middle of the venue lot, then expect it to be crazy when you leave (just like any other major event). 3) Beer closes about half way through the shows. Again, the most enjoyable concert venue I've ever been to! Worth the trip! read more

Fifty years on the Cape, and it took going to what was probably my fortieth show at the Melody Tent to have a horrible experience. I took my wife and daughter to "see" Darcie Lynne after purchasing tickets five months in advance. We were seven rows back, but at the side of the stage with a pole obscuring our view for the entire show. We couldn't even see the large screen they used. We had to crane our necks to watch the entire show on a small screen projected on the ceiling at the back of the tent. Apparently $150 and a lifetime of visits doesn't even warrant a return phone call or email regarding the experience (the reason for my negative review after so many years). Buyer beware, "best available" tickets purchased well in advance means nothing. read more

Yes, this place attracts some fantastic talent, no doubt about it. But BEWARE: the stage is supposed to rotate so everyone can see it, but this does not always happen. Consider the recent Lyle Lovette concert. As always, he was superb, but he mentioned that he had some friends in the audience - friends who, apparently, were sitting in "front" (section C - not, as the CCMT web site tries to suggest, section G or H). The result? The production manager kept the stage mostly facing section C. Almost every time the stage rotated toward us, the production person (who sits in a booth just inside the tent) stopped it and then reversed the direction. So your concert experience will be hit or miss, but I strongly suggest that you find seats in sections B, C or D. This is the side that the production manager sits on... and he/she, apparently, likes to see the show, too! read more

The sound in this place is horrendous. I've seen get same band in a few venues and have never heard them sound so bad. The bass was muddy. Even worse was being cramped in and smashed between people. read more

The 1st Annual Beer Festival at the Cape Cod Melody Tent was not worth the money. While there was not an overwhelming amount of people at the Sunday festival (August 10, 2014), the lines to get the samples were stagnant and wait times were over 15 minutes. The beer vendors were cramped under two separate tents which forced long lines. Initially there was no option to purchase beer, but then someone made a good decision and opened up a concession stand at least an hour or more after the start time. The music was awkward because everyone was outside waiting in lines and the music was not piped outside of the tent - it was muffled. If you were inside the tent, the music was great - Adam Ezra and Entrain, but I felt badly for the artists because most everyone was outside of the tent, so they were playing to a scattering amount of people. The set-up of the tent, does not lend itself for a dance floor, so hard for people to get into dancing. Normally a concert at the tent is great because there really is no bad seat and the stage rotates. I went to a Chowder Festival there one year and it didn't have these problems, but the beer festival was a bust. read more

The only reason why this isn't five stars is the parking, which can cramp you in. Otherwise, the venue is wonderful and the help is very friendly. Look for business parking lots in the neighborhood...there's no problem parking at a closed business. There's not a bad seat in this round theater. read more
