I've heard of the shore house but I didn't get to visit it until February. My friend Jen Snorteland…read morewas performing in a comedy show with other comedians. I had my son because he was on February break. Getting family babysitting which is free and the only way I can manage babysitting has been scarce lately with my sister having her third baby, my dad and my other sister having been putting all hands on deck to help her and I understand but it means I have to bring my 7 year old to stuff like this if I can. Another one of my girlfriends and the guy I'm hanging out with also came along to see the show. My son was happy, he had a huge pretzel, soda and mostly played on his phone at the end he laughed along with everyone else when the last comic came on to perform. He seemed to be a fan of the soda, and the pretzel and playing on his phone. I got the charcuterie board. It was half and half. The crackers they served the cheese with was okay, I liked the nuts, I liked one of the cheese selections, the dried fruit was good. I ended up sharing it. I've heard there is karaoke here, I like the atmosphere and maybe one day I'll get here for the karaoke.

If you take a day trip to Long Beach from NYC, do not go here for an end of day bite/drink/phone…read morecharge. This place is full of obnoxious locals. The one star is for cider on tap and fast hot curry fries after a long day on the beach. Today, however, there were a bunch of unattended kids running around and playing with a ball to the extent where it became very annoying and stressful. They also kept knocking on the occupied bathroom doors (their play area). When I finally said something about it, I was angrily confronted by a man at the bar who informed me that they were "actually the bartenders kids". Great. One of the kids proceeded to go behind the bar (?!) and give me dirty looks. It was bizarre. The mom also tried to give me a stare down when she finally decided to take her 7 kids and go home at 8pm. Don't let your kids raise helll in a bar and use the excuse that the bartender is their Dad. I didn't pay 40$ for 2 ciders and some fries to hang out in a playground then get abused by someone else's husband. Go literally anywhere else.

The decor is really nice, the space is super clean, and the service was amazing, fast, attentive, and very organized. They offer a great all-you-can-eat deal, and the meats were delicious and packed with flavor. Everything came out quickly and was cooked perfectly. There are so many options to choose from, including an awesome variety of sides. We tried the fried rice and the noodles and both were so good. I 100% recommend this spot and would absolutely come back.

Maybe it was a miss when we came here. We came here to eat for my birthday…read more We ended up ordering Hibachi meals, as we didn't want to do the BBQ option until we tried the food itself. My plate came out hot, but my rice came out lukewarm. It wasn't hot at all, which was strange. Then, another plate ordered came half hot, meaning half of the plate was cold. How does this even happen? So we had both sent back to ask for actual, hot food. I'm unsure if they cooked the rice more or just microwaved it, as it was more on the mushy side and tasted a bit "burnt" when it came back. The other plate did come back hot this time. The food itself was just alright. I've went to other hibachi spots where the food was more flavorful, the sauce slaps and it actually came out hot. The service was alright as well, but it was a bit strange that we somehow were served warm and cold dishes. We had drinks as well, the LIIT was good and the margarita was too. In total, we paid about $140 for 4 drinks and two hibachi entrees. Except, nothing about this experience felt like it was worth $140. I'm glad we didn't take up their offer to do BBQ or we would've paid way more for a mid experience. I wouldn't come again. There's way better out there and for way better prices.
