Robert initially came out to hydro-jet the line, but during the inspection he discovered that the main sewer line under the house was rusting and thin in several spots. He explained that hydro-jetting could potentially cause bigger problems with the pipe. He showed me the camera footage and clearly explained what he was seeing, noting that the line would need to be replaced sooner rather than later. He also did not charge me for the diagnostic visit. I really appreciated that Robert took the time to educate me and explain everything thoroughly. His passion for his work is evident in the quality of service he provides. Robert and his crew replaced the sewer line from my house to the street, and they were extremely polite, professional, and proactive--especially when it came to making sure my dogs stayed safely in the backyard. I will definitely work with Robert again when it's time to replace the sewer line under the house. Robert came out on the day we agreed on and on time. The problem turned out to be the nearly nonexistent wax gasket under the toilet along with the rusted out toilet bolts. Robert wanted to show me what was causing the issues and to make sure I was comfortable with his suggestions for the repairs. On my part, I asked for him to also replace the water supply valve. Overall, it took maybe an hour and a half which also includes the time he spent picking up supplies for the job that he had to get at the hardware store. I initially had a technician come out to my grandma's house to address a backed-up storm drain. I was quoted $260 to clear the drain. The technician used the hydro jet for approximately 30 minutes, and although the drainage improved slightly, I was told they would need to return the following day with a camera to determine what was blocking it. I was quoted an additional $860 for that visit. I specifically asked why I was being charged $260 initially and then another $860 the next day. I also made sure to clarify whether the second visit would resolve the drainage issue, and I was assured that it would. Today, a technician arrived, spent approximately 10 minutes inspecting the drain, and showed me footage on an iPad of visible tree roots in the pipes. I was then told that nothing could be done without removing and replacing the pipes entirely. So, my grandma, who lives on a fixed income, has now paid hundreds of dollars for a camera inspection that essentially confirmed what we already suspected: roots were blocking the drain. Had I known that the second visit would only identify the problem, with no attempt to clear the blockage or improve the drainage, I would never have agreed to spend that additional money. My frustration isn't simply about the cost. It's about the lack of transparency and the impression that the second visit would actually resolve the issue. Instead, we're left with the same problem, a substantial bill, and no solution. This was a really disappointing experience, especially considering that this expense came out of my grandmother's limited budget.

I had a clog in my bathroom sink…read more had VIP sewer come out to do a snake but the associates came in so hot right out the gate on blatant upsells and "issues" that could not be resolved with just a snake. even so far to point out that there's teflon tape on the pipes that can't be replaced / they don't the specialty tape... TEFLON tape?! hahaha i ain't stupid. once they snaked and was not able to get through, they said that the next step was to find the clog in the wall open the wall cut out the pipe and replace (a 1.5k+ job) i asked if there were any other options like hydro-jetting or such and they said hydro jetting would spew out everywhere not able to be done second floor i did my due diligence and called a few contractors that knew plumbers that werent on yelp a guy came in the next day, hydro-jetted the clog out in 30 minutes without needed to do any of the above, and only charged me $60 lol beware of the upsell! + though, since they did not get the clog out they did not charge me, just off putting on the blatant upsell. the owner seemed nice though.

Our septic tank was not right until they came and were able to fix it. The septic tank had to be cleaned out and videoed. What was their discovery? Our septic tank had only one 24"cover . This cover was not heavy duty either. The 4" clean outs were only 3"clean outs. Nothing was right. Also discovered was that our sewage pit had collapsed! We had to drill, hand dig and put in a new sewage pit and connect it up to our septic tank. Now our septic system is complete and certified. This represents a ton of hard work to be accomplished during very hot weather. It took almost 7 days to complete our job. This was hard and very tedious work. But Felix and his crew are always up for the task. They do work very hard. I can tell you that Craftsman Sewers are honest, they communicate to you well and they do not leave you in the dark. You will know about your septic system with them. They do keep things as clean as they can. This is not easy to do. They even hand watered areas to keep the dust down for us. It was a true pleasure to have Felix and the Craftsman Sewers crew at our home. This was a once in a lifetime experience. Does this cost money? Yes it does. But are they worth it? I tend to start with one of the franchise shops like the Drain/Rooter guys because of the special coupons. What started out as $49 quickly turned into $125 for snaking and when the tech couldn't unclog the the pipe he recommend their hydro or descaling treatment. Both options were over $1000. I thanked and tipped him for his time and moved onto plan B, search Yelp. Only Plumbing caught my eye and felt like a local Mom and Pop shop. called and ended up speaking to Oscar who's approach was kind, gentle and was super knowledgeable giving out many free tips and advice. He laid out all the option we can try and was available later in the evening if I can wait. My stressed and impatient self wanted someone out sooner rather than later so try searching online hoping for a fix by dinner. Well this was a bus when the second guys showed up, looked at the situation and went right into recommended hydro-jetting at a super high cost of over $2000. Thanked and tipped him for his time. Remembering Oscar's advice to descale instead of hydro-jet because of the liability from the second floor I knew at this point i needed to take a deep breath, say serenity now and wait for Oscar to be available. Oscar went above and beyond for over an hour trying to snake the clog hoping for the cheapest fix. Soon realizing we needed to bring in the big guns and try descaling the pipe. my pipe had smaller diameter but this talented Oscar modify the chains to fit my pipe. Let me just say the sound of continuous running water was music to our ears. I can feel the stress melting away as I realize he did it.
