Five stars all the way! This store has happy, helpful employees working there! I wanted a small bucket of quick dry cement for a craft project and an employee took me right to the location of it in the store. Nice guy at the checkout, too. Fast and friendly. I sure see why my brother-in-law, a contractor in Auberry, goes to this Ace Hardware for his supplies instead of driving down the hill to the big box stores! Good prices, too. read more

"Thank you, Cal R.! We live in Prather and I have asked the Ace Hardware owner if she would require her employees to comply with the Fresno County mandate to wear masks. She has refused to do so. When I last called to ask if her employees were wearing masks she said "NO." My husband and I are seniors and will no longer shop there. We drive more than 30 miles round trip to other stores where the management cares about their customers. It's sad not to be able to support local businesses, but this is the breaking point. We have had friendly service there, but the management is thoughtless. P.S. We have spent thousands and thousands of dollars there in the past when we constructed new buildings on our property. We've bought a ton of stuff here over the years. They seem to have dang near everything you might need and the guys that work there, while a little gruff at first, know what they are talking about and maybe have their defenses up against some of the stuff the customers are asking after. From plumbing to chains for chainsaws to pex tools to stain and electrical.. they have it all. I'll probably be by there on friday on my way to huntington. read more

A friendly local hardware store that's a pillar to the community. And they have surprisingly good product offerings for a small town store. My father needed a special bolt and washer for his Sears riding lawn tractor. They had two in stock! Saved us a 45 minute ride to Fresno or Clovis. Sometimes prices are slightly more than larger city shops. But it pays to support local. And it's still cheaper to buy local than make a trip all the way down the hill. Oh and by the way all the staff there is nice and friendly! read more

Crazy Bernie is a regular at CFAH. When I'm knee deep in a remodel or a building project I go north to this well stocked hardware store rather than making the journey to town. I say Buy Local and I live by it. They always have what I need and for a few cents more it's well worth it. read more

These guys saved my camping trip. I was RV camping at shaver Lake. I noticed that my water pump on my RV kept running and when I went outside water was pouring out of the fitting on the side of the RV. Somehow the water cap went missing. It was a special cap for this fitting. Ace didn't have exactly what I needed but they manage to get some PVC pipe cap retrofitted and it worked. Thank you Ace! read more

I won't ever shop at this wanna be hardware store. Steve the manager was completely unprofessional and has terrible customer service. I'd rather drive to Fresno to get my supplies. Poor customer service by the owner. Being that I am female, I was bullied into buying WAY more product than I needed. Then treated like I was incompetent after I said multiple times my truck could not hold that much product and needed a refund (after watching my trucks fenders touch the wheels). I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK. The general staff is decent. read more

Ace is convenient to my mountain place. I recently bought a Stihl bar and handle. The bar was 15 dollars less than a competitor Fresno store, the handle was 21 dollars less. I also found the tractor hydraulic fluid to be a dollar less. This coupled with friendly helpful employees makes it a sure bet I'll be back. read more

Good full service hardware store. Prices are not as good as down in the valley. The repair shop does good work on chainsaws, weed whackers, etc. The staff are friendly and helpful. If they don't have what your looking for normally you can order it and receive it within a week. If it's an emergency and they don't have what you need you wind up heading down to the valley. They also do local deliveries of building supplies, ground covers, and wood pellets for a small fee. read more
