I've ordered several sizes of floater frames, great quality, great service, great price, Canvasplace is the best.

    Clean, precise, durable lines.

I ordered 20+ custom frames from Rupen a couple of weeks ago. About 5 business days later, they were finished and ready for pickup. Every single one is just beautifully crafted with exact precision. They are very durably built and feel as though they will last forever. A big, big thank you!!

Awesome products and customer service! I'd been looking for a place to make custom stretched extra wide (2.5") canvas for upcoming commissions I had. After researching and making numerous phone calls to many places, I was thrilled to find Canvas Place and correspond with Rupen. His quick response and turn around time was fantastic. He communicated every step of the way. When I arrived only 48 hours after ordering my (53 x 39 x 2.5"), Rupen's brother Sarkis (it's a family biz) was right on top of things and happy to assist. Canvas looks great. Stretch is tight. Corners are folded beautifully. The support bars are plentiful. The canvas is pure quality craftsmanship. And their prices are the BEST in town!

Here is the MASSIVE canvas they build for painter Nestor Toro

This place is great. Each time I deal with Canvasplace I am more impressed than the time before which is impressive as they always give 5 star service! I discovered this gem when my partner needed a custom built canvas for a commission. I called a LOT of places because I like to shop around and do my research. There were shops who could not make a canvas as large as I needed. Others quoted me crazy insane prices. Some had long wait times for custom made canvases. I was fortunate to find Canvas Place. Rupen replied almost instantly to my inquiry email. I was impressed as others didn't even bother. Next, the pricing. The quote almost seemed too good to be true after talking to many other places and getting quotes twice as much! Next was the turn around time from ordering to delivery. Again, faster than any other shop! Rupen worked with us throughout the entire process and even put up with all my questions with complete and professional answers. So I placed the order. When the canvas was delivered it was even better than I had anticipated! It as amazing and delivered right to my door! Do not waste your time searching for a place because this IS THE PLACE for all your needs! They have amazing prices and can do what others consider "impossible" and do it right! Top notch, Outstanding, Highly recommended and used by professionals such as Nestor Toro who is an abstract artist in Los Angles you simply can not do better for your canvas and framing needs. The customer service will blow you away and Rupen is a pleasure to work with! He really knows his stuff and is a true professional. The art business is full of snobs and elitist attitude and you will NOT encounter that nonsense here. I simply can not recommend them enough!

I first saw canvas place on eBay when I was looking for modern floating frames for me ams my husband's artwork. We were very happy with the quality of craftsmanship, black finish, style, and the way our canvas sat in the frame I ended up ordering directly from them on their website two more orders! In my second order they had accidentally sent me the wrong size, and contacting Rupen via email was very quick and easy. He emailed me a return label and I was able to get them exchanged for the right size. We will be ordering more in the future when we need more frames!framed

I ordered multiple packs of frames at this place in April and I had very bad experience. The frames came very poorly made, with cracked corners and dirty canvases. When I asked for a refund, I received very mean, completely unprofessional and offensive emails from Rupen (who I believe is a business owner). This is an exact quote from one of the emails from Rupen : "You don't have to split the return shipping either because of your extraordinary status as a person of superb taste and discernment." I sent the frames back and I got my refund. However, the whole experience left a very bad taste in my mouth. I've never experienced the worst customer service. I have no idea where the good reviews come from, because the quality of the frames and the way this business treats their customers are unacceptable, and I wonder how this establishment still exists. I scrolled down reviews on this page and found a few reviews which describe similar experiences to mine. I wish I read them before ordering from this place! Stay away!

I made a somewhat large order of frames to get my exhibit ready to hang. The quality of the walnut floating frames was perfect.

I called the Frame Store and spoke to Tom. I was able to drive to the store and describe to him what I needed framed and the timeline we had to work with. He made the time to listen to me describe how special my mom was and how this portrait was needed for the funeral. After an hour we finally selected the perfect frame. Tom gave me a great price for the quality I selected. He made sure that he clearly communicated with everyone involved in the process in framing the portrait and the time line I was requesting. In the end, this beautiful portrait was a masterpiece that highlighted how beautiful my mom was. I truly appreciated the quality of the service and product what Tom and the Frame Store offered. We are typically pretty good at figuring out our design needs but framing can be more of a sophisticated effort than you'd think. Tom helped us select the perfect frame for our piece. When he analyzed the art, his perspective really called out things we didn't see or notice. So when he provided some options, we all agreed on one in particular that seemed to really complement the artwork. We received our framed art in less than a week and it's PERFECT! The right frame and glass does so much and we can't stop staring at our new piece. Super happy!

My item was on a shelf with other orders. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to help myself and asked one of the employees who took it off the shelf for me. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. I hope my feedback warns other customers and helps management understand what's happening at the store level. A few days ago, I went in to quickly pick up an online order after receiving both email and text confirmation that it was ready. My name wasn't on any of the pickup bags, so I asked for assistance. A manager briefly looked around, said he would check by the registers, and then proceeded to count cash in the register instead of helping me. After I approached him again, he passed me off to another employee who also couldn't find the order. I eventually noticed a bag with my name on the floor behind the register. They scanned it, and I left. When I opened the package later that night, I realized not only was the bag dirty--with a footprint on it--but the product inside was the wrong brand. I had ordered a specific brand on sale, and they substituted an Artist Loft item without informing me. The receipt label didn't match the product at all. I returned to the store the next morning, where the female manager told me they had substituted their own brand because the original item wasn't in stock. That explanation made no sense--if a customer orders Prismacolor, you don't replace it with Artist Loft. When I questioned it, she impatiently said, "Well, I'm returning it for you," with no apology, empathy, or effort to acknowledge the mistake. Not only did I waste over 30 minutes during the initial pickup, but I also had to make a second trip to return their error. A simple, sincere "I'm sorry" would have gone a long way. While I was there, I asked about another pending order. They told me if the item was on the shelf, I can get it. Even though the item showed available at this store, we couldn't find any. I ended up canceling it. More waste of time! Later that afternoon (4:11 p.m., Dec. 3), I called the store because the website was now showing the item in stock. The person who answered the phone cut me off with, "No, I'm too busy," without any courtesy or suggestion to call back. The level of rudeness at this store has become consistent and noticeable, even my young child has commented on it. This pattern of dismissiveness, errors, and lack of customer care is extremely disappointing. I hope regional or district management takes these issues seriously and restores the professionalism and positive atmosphere Michaels was once known for. (I've never shopped at Hobby Lobby until recently, and the vibe there is completely the opposite. It's warm, friendly, and the price of same brand products WAY cheaper than Michaels!!!) A few additional concerns for fellow customers: Many art supplies are significantly cheaper at Hobby Lobby, Amazon, or Dick Blick online. I genuinely prefer supporting local stores, but not at the expense of higher prices and poor treatment. When returning online orders paid through PayPal, you can request a cash refund. Store employees stubbornly claim they can only issue store credit, but when I called to ask, customer service confirmed that is NOT true. I now have over $100 in store credits! And I'll tell you next why I wouldn't opt for Michaels store credits. At the Redondo Beach location, an employee scanned two store credit receipts--each worth over $80--and told me they had no balance. He even asked if I wanted to throw them away. I later confirmed this was his error, but when I brought it up during a future visit, the same staff member simply shrugged while leaning on the register with his leg up. He no longer works there, but the value of those credits was never recovered, and I never received so much as an apology. Another ongoing concern is price inconsistencies. As someone who shops at Michaels often, I know the prices and watch for coupons like most loyal customers. However, the prices on the shelves frequently do not match the prices at the self-serve kiosks. I've asked for assistance on this four or five separate occasions, and it's surprising that the issue remains unresolved. Even worse, staff often appear visibly irritated when the discrepancy is pointed out. Right before a recent 40% promotion, prices on many items were increased in the kiosks but not updated on the shelf displays. I picked up a few items, excited to finally use the long-awaited 40% discount. At the register, everything rang up at the higher price. When I asked about it, I was told that "the overnight crew forgot to change the tags," even though every version of the item was still marked at the regular price on the shelves. In the end, it would have been cheaper to buy the items at their regular price with the standard 25% coupon than during this so-called 40% sale. I wondered why I still shop there. I guess because we are creatures of habits!
