Based on his reviews, we left it to his expertise / his discerning eye on the positioning of where on the wall each piece should hang so as to utilize the right amount of white space, and he did a fantastic job. Torrance's volunteer program also requires this so off I went. Plenty of parking. They make it easy and convenient to get you finger printed. While I was there, there were two additional walk ins - one for a live scan and another for passport photos. Staff is professional, efficient and rates are reasonable. They also provide notary services. Please consider this establishment if you need their services!

Review #994 2026-064…read more Staff: Chris & Trina South Bay Chinese School utilizes #1 All Safe & Secure Live Scan Fingerprint for their staff & volunteers. It's located on the west side of Village Plaza, along Vista Montana, between Chantal Skin Care & Mega Acupuncture & Herb. The purpose of mandatory live scan fingerprinting is to ensure the safety of students by conducting thorough, state-verified criminal background checks, fulfilling CA legal requirements for people working with minors to prevent child abuse & foster trust with parents & the community. SBCS asked me to come in on a Friday afternoon for the live scan after the school year ended; not sure if they made an appointment prior but I was able to walk-in. The office is small with a couple of chairs in the waiting area, & no one was there except for me; even so, it took a few minutes for them to call me in to get my fingerprints after I completed the paperwork & showed my CA driver's license. I went to the restroom to wash my hands, then I was given Corn Huskers Heavy Duty Oil-Free Hand Treatment Lotion on my fingers, & placed each finger on the scanner that captures high-resolution images of my prints. I had to re-do my thumbs a few times, & my index finger a couple of times, adding more corn huskers lotion. Chris had to squish my thumbs, rolled it a few times because they didn't read well. It felt awkward due to my hand positioning & I wanted to adjust my position to be more comfortable, but couldn't/didn't since it may shift during scanning. I explained to him that my hands are usually dry & cracked from overwashing; I later learn that this may strip the natural oils & cause rejected prints. The lotion is used in live scan to moisturize dry skin & enhance the print quality, making faint/worn fingerprints more legible. The whole process took less than 15 minutes, & I was done & out. Once fingerprints are captured, they're transmitted electronically to the CA Department of Justices (DOJ), & the agency (my son's Chinese school) will receive the results directly in a few days. I don't know the cost since SBCS was covering the live scan. The process was quick & easy, though general pleasantries exchanged would be nice & polite. Not sure if appointments are required but advisable in case you're on a time constraint. If you're in need of live scan services, I recommend #1 All Safe & Secure Live Scan Fingerprint.

We quickly realized this was more than my husband and I could handle on our own. From the beginning, Craig was honest with us about what to expect and told us we would probably be working together for about a year. He was right. Our claim closed just over the one year mark. What I appreciated most was that Craig truly stood up for us. When the insurance company would not commit to temporary housing, he pushed to get us into a nice hotel and made sure our food expenses and overnight parking for two cars were covered until a comparable home could be found. He also arranged for our packing and storage and took away so much of the frustrating back and forth with the insurance adjusters. I had a whole discussion with the plumber, Ernesto on should he remove the shower faucets too, but because the refinishing would take a while, and the way shower handles work, I'd have to leave the water to the condo off for weeks while the refinishing was done. So we both agreed not worth it. I am mentioning this because we had a detailed conversation on saving the sink faucets. I even told him I'd wrap them in paper carefully when he was done. I then left him to do his work. I came back in and he was whacking away at the handles. I asked him what he was doing and he said it was the only way to remove them. I asked him if they would then be salvageable and he said no. I asked him in a panic why the heck he didn't run this by me. I would've told him not to remove the faucets if he couldn't get them out and salvage them! What he did next blew my mind. He picked up and left. He didn't reconnect the waterlines. He didn't reconnect the angle stop. He left a mess. I called the company and Melissa was very nice to me and listened to my complaints and sent somebody else out to at least give me water by hooking up the angle stops. He showed up was very angry and did bad work. The angle stops did not hold water. I called the company back and nobody answered. Nobody answered today either, a day later. Now I will be filing complaints with the contractor state licensing board, and anybody else that is relevant. Not only did he destroy my faucets, but he broke my sink as visible in the photos and video. I wouldn't call Sal's plumbing ever if you care about the quality of your home. They clearly do not care about their customers and should be put out of business.
