I came in, not knowing what I wanted to do with this jersey, but Sebastian specializes in framing jerseys, and as soon as he saw my jersey, he came up with his beautiful mock up. I just picked it up and all I can say is I will be coming back five out of five. If you're looking to frame anything at all, go check out Carter picture framing with Sebastian. read more

What excellent customer service and work! I wanted this original fruit crate label from the 1940's professionally framed to help ensure it's preservation over the years. After coming into Carter's 3 times over the course of several months to go over mats, frames and what-not's, I am extremely satisfied with the final product. Chuck did an amazing job, and was very patient with me. He was never pushy, but rather gave helpful and professional opinions, and always said to me, "it's your art, you have to live with it and like it." Carter and Chuck were never rude or irritated with me, and treated my label gently every time I came in. I went to a total of 5 frame shops from Manhattan Beach to Westminster, and these guys were the only ones that truly made me feel valued, and like my art would be in good hands. I even had one frame shop literally throw a glass sample on it, but not Carter's! Every time the guys picked up the label they were consistently gentle. Professional framing is not cheap, and Carter's was not the cheapest of the 5 shops, but far from being the most expensive. For me, it was important to take my art somewhere that I felt comfortable with the work, and the price, and these guys totally delivered on both. I highly recommend Carter's Picture Framing, as these guys will do all they can to ensure great customer service and will treat your art, as their art. read more

I had a hard time finding a good framer in the South Bay area and decided to try out Carter Picture Framing. Chuck was incredibly friendly and helpful, and took the time to lay out different frame and mat options with me. They told me it would take at least 2-2.5 weeks to get the frame but they called me in a week! It wasn't cheap but they did a good job. I'd return and recommend! read more

Chuck was amazing with helping me decide on a frame for my artwork. I went in with an idea and found what I was looking for, chuck then showed me great recommendations. Let me just say, my husband and I had no clue about the framing world and how pricey it can be. But I get it, it's a skill not everyone has. After my upsetting visit with Michaels we took our chance with Carter's Framing. The office space was filled with frames on the wall with relics of the past. The frames that were show cased all had a story... but enough of the office. Mr. Carter the owner totally worked with us and gave us such a great price for the large three piece of pictures. He asked me how much each piece would be worth... and with that we ran with the price we agreed upon and let me say it was very favorable! We will definitely visit Carter Framing for future framing! And he finished the framing in a few days instead of a week or two that most places ask for! Thanks Mr Carter you were awesome!!! read more

I've had concert posters framed here twice and both times have been a great experience. I appreciated the time Carter took to help me pick out a frame the first time. I loved it so much I got the same frame for 2 new posters. It was so simple to place the new order. I just mentioned I'd been before and my old order was looked up and duplicated. I trust Carter's to provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service and quality craftsmanship. read more

Chuck at Carter Picture Framing & Gallery was great! A 46 year old pencil drawing that my husband and I really treasure is now beautifully preserved with acid free backing and museum quality glass. Chuck even fixed a tiny bit of foxing that was on the paper. It was ready for pickup way before the estimated time and the price was right. We'll be taking the companion picture in soon! read more

Carter Picture Framing - Nice frame! - Framing Near Me - Torrance, California

Was getting some money out of the bank and as I looked up across the street I saw picture framing and thought hmmm let's see how much they would charge me to frame a very special picture my oldest grandson drew for me. I could have gone to Michael's or Aaron brothers and did it myself but sometimes you just need to have a pro do things I went in and met Chuck and we both hit it off He gave me some ideas and a quote and I said I would be back. Well I got home and got the card and went right back. Chuck showed me some variations and he listened to my concerns and explained and showed me WHY I should do the colors this way and that. Anyway he said it would be about a week, I told him to take his time as I wasn't in a hurry and Bam, two days later he calls me and says it's ready . Thanks for everything Chuck!! We will do business again sir! read more

I cannot say enough nice things about Carter's. I was looking for a local framer to do a good job on a print that I wanted to surprise for my husband. I felt listened to in my design ideas but also felt glad for the input given to really make sure my piece came out perfect. All the details were given to me thoroughly so I knew what the finish product would be, the pricing, the options in glass and the timeline. The frame was done quicker than promised which was a nice surprise and my expectations were exceeded in the quality of work. I will be back for all my art work to be taken care of by this lovely company. Thank you to everyone at the company! I am now a customer for life! read more

I got two pieces of art framed here. Chuck is the man! He has an excellent eye (he's an artist) and really helped me choose colors and framing that bring out the best in the pieces I bought. I also love that this is a mom and pop shop. The level of care, customer service, and intention is always valuable to me. When I find a good place, I stick to it. PLEASE HEAR ME OUT! Carter Framing is hand's down the best framing store around, both in quality of work and pricing! We shopped around two extremely large framing projects, and were met with astronomical quotes and some folks also listed in nearby top Yelp reviews didn't even want to take on the project. Carter not only embraced the challenge immediately, but they came in far less than competitors....AND were meticulous throughout the process; even offering pick-up and delivery of the final pieces. I'm telling you, their customer service is BEYOND, their attention to detail is BEYOND and their affordability is BEYOND. Lou and Chuck are cut from an old-school cloth of providing value and quality, results in success. They have my framing business for life, promise. read more

Man knows his line of work and an excellent framer. He can explain in detail what he is doing and anything you want to achieve. I found this business on the net, not yelp, so I just went by to check it out and see if they could frame a print of mine. I was so impressed with the owner, Louis Carter, that I returned with 3 more prints for him to frame. He is patient, polite and knowledgeable. Louis is a Navy man and former engineer, so his work is very precise. He completed the job early and I was very pleased with the results. He is top notch. And like the other reviewer stated, he isn't cheap, but if you value your print, picture or item, it would be worth it. Oh, and check out his website, it's moving. read more

Carter Picture Framing - Very special print by Greg Mankis - Framing Near Me - Torrance, California

I needed a painting framed which was worth $500 and he was going to charge me $350 to frame it. I had liked this bronze metallic frame and asked for him to check and see if he has any. He asked me to come with him cuz he wouldn't let me stay in the front of the shop and wait for him, thinking as if I'm going to steal something. So I gathered my stuff and went with him to the back. We found the metal for the frame and asked him how much for just the frame and he refused to answer how much just the frame would be. After that I told him I have the rest of the stuff, I just need the frame. To which he replied that," Im in the business of framing not selling frames". That was rude enough and I knew I should take my business elsewhere. I've just ordered the same frame from Amazon for a $100. So just saved myself $250 and the bloody hassle of dealing with a rude business owner. It would be wiser for a business owner to work with the customer cuz I'm not going to pay for a frame which is almost the same as the painting in it. He would've made some money but nop. So the one star is cuz he said he gave me a discount. I needed other pictures framed, but I'd rather take my business elsewhere. Thanks. read more

I found this business as I was driving through old town Torrance near my new office. I had a couple of things that I needed framing and decided to support the local business and give it a try. The owner, Louis Carter, was extremely helpful as I only had a general idea of what I wanted. He used his creativity to guide me and come up with the final product. The final result exceeded my expectations and was turned in only a couple of days at my request. Louis knows his stuff and is very pleasant to deal with.
