No chewy cheese on my plate today. Crisp chips, decent salsas. I had the # 1 combination dinner: a beef burrito, a taco and a chili relleno. I added a side of beans. My wife ordered the chilaquiles. The cocina opens to the dining area, so all of the great smells migrate. I could smell the chicken when the cook was making my wife's chilaquiles. The food is served fresh, hot, on hot plates as it should be. The chicken in the chilaquiles was flavorful and moist. A great plate of food. My beef burrito and taco were generously filled with well-seasoned ground beef. The relleno was filled with thoroughly melted cheese. Delicious queso covered the burrito and the relleno. The beans, perfect smooth and lightly seasoned. Even the rice was good! Very good service. Clean comfortable restaurant. A 4.5 star rating is fair for this El Toro restaurant. The food is good and that's "no bull."

The Las Americas Restaurant had a very delicious parlando pepper stuffed with cheese, lightly breaded and coated with tomato based sauce. It was well balanced with flavors. The Carne Asada Burrito was a bit greasy, but flavors were spot on. Mexican Husband ordered the Carne Asada Gorditas. The flavor was fresh combo of meat & veggies. Mexican Tamale was enjoyable with a good measure of masa and pork. The restaurant was moderately kept, and has air conditioning. The restaurant has a pick-up window, and at times the wait staff was attending to it. Overall a nice visit.
