This restaurant is located right on Branson Landing and the patio has a direct view of the Light Show. We started with the queso blanco which was great. For my meal, I had the Combo Fajitas. I think that they are probably the best fajitas I have ever had. Both the chicken and beef were tender and juicy. I would come back to Branson just for this dish! read more

Cantina Laredo - Red Sangria - Mexican Near Me - Branson, Missouri

I am a Branson local and was unfamiiar with the Cantina Laredo chain when they first opened on the Landing 3 years ago. Most of the other Mexican restaurants in the area are very casual, so it was a pleasant suprise to have a nicer, more upscale Mexican restaurant as an option. The service has always been excellent, great ambiance, delicious fresh chips and salsa brought immediately to your table, Thursday nights are ladies' nights with half-price Marguritas (perfect for the local girls). I recommend the guacamole appetizer, it is prepared tableside by your server with fresh avocados...so good! read more

Hands down, fabulous! The dimly lit restaurant on a Sunday night was packed. The food was spectacular. I LOVE tacos and these were the best by far that I've had in a long time! I was able to order off the menu and have grilled shrimp tacos. I never usually eat the beans and rice but I had to here! The black refried beans were mouth watering and the cilantro lime rice were surprisingly earthy and not too sharp. However the rice was not great the tacos were a show stopper. My husband enjoyed a fabulous margarita and then tried the house margarita (do not try it the house margarita is watery) read more

Meh. I don't get the hype. I've tried several times. $10 tableside guac uses one avocado. Really? Small servings of most items, especially at those prices. Great location and attentive service, i guess this is enough to keep a tourist town restaurant in business. :\ read more

Good menu, great location and atmosphere... I personally feel like they have been slacking in the kitchen lately and the food is not as good as the price you're paying for it anymore. They need to step up their game again! read more

So I'm going to start off saying the queso is amazing as are the tortillas and chips, but their drinks weren't so awesome and the table side guacamole was terrible and ultra stringy. Their outside dinning area is a great place to watch the water show and on a cool evening it was a nice place to sit and talk. The waiter was great, but their two salsas weren't so great. I'm probably spoiled with Tex-Mex, and since we only got appetizers and drinks, I won't go below a 3 star mark, but hey, $10 for gross, stringy guacamole and $13 for a "top shelf" margarita made with Patron that taste nasty doesn't earn any more stars! The steak place across the plaza had better margaritas and they're a steak place not a place that should have the best Mexican related mixed drinks. Would I come back, yes, but next time I'm bringing my own salsa and going to take over the table side guacamole service mixing in ingredients that actually taste good. One last thing, our waiter at table side asked if we wanted jalapeño peppers in our guacamole, "no" we didn't, but he left the little dish and my wife and I both tried them raw...it was chopped green bell pepper and not a jalapeño pepper, come on guys, they look and taste completely different! read more

So, I've been here several times now. My review is based on my most recent visit. This time we had a great server and amazing food!! I started with the Deliciouso Margarita, it was very good (it has watermelon purée in it). My husband had the house Margarita with Don Julio added. It was Very Good!!! As for appetizers we love the guacamole made right at your table, it is very good and fresh! Our waiter even let our boys add the ingredients tonight (onions, jalapeño, cilantro and garlic pwdr mixed w s&p). For my son he loves their chicken chimichanga (which is off the lunch menu, but can be ordered at dinner if you ask). They were very nice and split the chimichanga between the boys for us with no hassle. I had the amazing Sea Bass dish. It comes with chipotle creme sauce, rice and grilled asparagus. OMG, this is something worth driving 3.5 hours for!! The service has always been wonderful, even when they have a packed house! I absolutely love this restaurant with their view of the lake and the water/fountain show and shooting flames! read more

This place was a nightmare, poor service poor food and expensive. Not a good choice! The staff was unresponsive, 2 people 2 drinks and a quesadilla 67$. Sent back all other food. Served a dip with no chips, asks twice never got any! Spoke with manager credited some food and gave us a a free entree. Not returning! I'm a local been here so many wonderful times. Not anymore! read more

Very fresh and tasty food. Chips and salsa were free (always a plus). They give 2 varieties of salsa, one a little hot the other mild, both were great. We also added the cheese dip. We split a dinner-sized entree for lunch and were very happy with the portion size for 2 people. We got enchilada veracruz and were very happy with the dish. Fresh crisp ingredients and toppings, very flavorful. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall great atmosphere. read more

What a nice surprise. We ever expected to find great food in Branson. The guacamole made table side was maybe the best guac I have ever had. We had the bone in rib eye which was totally amazing. Great cut of meat and the seasons were the perfect compliment. It was very reasonably priced, especially for such a nice, big, bone-in ribeye! The Tampiko (spelling?) was also spectacular. Great mix of flavors. Also had a dish that was flank or skirt steak wrapped around a stuffed pablano pepper..it was fantastic. Portion sizes were large. Very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. We will definately go back and recommend this to others. Oh...how could I forget...the brownie! They brought it out on a sizzling hot iron place, melted some carmel sauce on the plate before placing the soft brownie and a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream, topped with more of the carmel sauce. Oh my...it was phenominal!!! Did I mention how great this place was? Service was great. read more

We were there probably 5 years ago on our way from Illinois back to California, and I've got to tell you, we still think of it! Probably the best Mexican food we've ever had - and we're from California and have traveled quite a bit in Mexico! I was cleaning out an old notebook today and found my note on how they made their amazing Carnitas sauce: Red Wine, Roasted Chipoltes, Tomatoes, Salt, Garlic, Oregano, and sour cream. It was so good, I think that's what's for dinner tonight! read more

The food didn't have much flavor. They try to be more of an up scale tex mex but the food seamed prepackaged or fast food. The staff wasn't friendly at all. The price was about 20 bucks a plate which isn't bad for the landing but too much for the food. Save your money Taco Bell will make you just as sick. Two star for the location Keep walking read more

Very good food and excellent service. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. The combo Fajitas was delicious. Steak and chicken both so tender you could cut with a fork. Ceviche was really good too. read more

Best Mexican food in Missouri. We love this restaurant. Always great service. If it's not to cold enjoy your dinner or lunch on the patio by the fire and water show. read more

Service. Was. Horrible. If the food was better I would have given it more stars but for $15, two enchiladas should have more flavor. My 4 year old and I were cut off by a waiter going to the bathroom. My wife had the same experience 10 minutes later. Our waitress only took our order- someone else brought our food, refilled our drinks, and cleared the table. Two trays of drinks were dropped during the 45 minutes we were there and the staff didn't seem cohesive at all. Good luck if you have to eat here. read more

Dined outside on a very pleasant evening. Happy hour beer, good meal, good service from Adam. Very pleased with our experience.

My husband and I have eaten here many times but never sat on the patio at night. It was a nice warm night but as it was after 7 pm and almost dark out , with no lights on or around our table we were practically dining in the dark. We mentioned it to Our server once right as we were seated and she said she would bring a light. We mentioned it again to the lady who brings the chips and she said ok wait a minute. As it turned out we never got a light or candle and ended up eating our dinner in the dark !! I found this very strange as I could barely see what I was eating. The table near us had light that was on the patio umbrella. This was very strange to us as we cannot understand why they would not have a candle on each table to Provide alittle light so we could at least she our food and each other. read more

Okay, so let me start off by saying we eat a lot of Mexican food. We have had some of the very best Mexican food in DFW (which would be some of the best high end Mexican food in the US). That being said the food here was very good. Modern, clean Mexican food with a Tex/Mex feel to it, but without all the grease and heavy sauce. But what sets this place apart is the service. My wife and I arrived in a not so good mood (because it isn't easy to find for non-locals), and I think the waitress knew this. But instead of joining us in our funk, she lifted our spirits with her service. She knew all about gluten allergies and what items on the menu were and weren't gluten free. In addition my wife has a lemon allergy and she was even able to articulate which items had lemon and which didn't. Great job. Plus when she found out we were headed for a show, we were in and out in less than an hour. Very good food, exceptional service, what's not to love? read more

Definitely NOT your TV dinner style Mexican Restaurant They warm the Chips for the Chips and Salsa ! Maybe the House margarita is just passing--but the Specialty ones are quite good. One of the FEW Restaurants in Branson, that I will recommend to visitors. . They make guacamole, table side--with your choice of ingredients. Last Winter they had Ceviche that was from Heaven! The menu changes seasonally. It may be called Seafood salad....but sooo delish! Since I have a Gluten intolerance, I look for places that have gluten-free items. Of course Mexican cuisine fills that criteria ! Have taken many friends out to lunch here. Despite diverse dietary needs, everyone loved the food. My choice of places to go for a Special Day or celebration !!! read more

Branson Landing has plenty of places to go for food. That being said, when you are walking to the Landing fountain, you see two places. If you don't want the steakhouse, you have the Cantina Laredo. The biggest attraction: eating on the deck to watch the Fountain. Food: Standard mexican/tex-mex food. Here's what we got: On the Shelf Guacamole - SO FRESH! Taco Al Carbon Combination fajitas Cantina Laredo Platter If you like guacamole, this is the freshest guacamole can get. It's tasty. The cantina laredo platter is sooooo much food. It comes with a chicken enchilada, tamale, chile rellano, and a beef taco. If you are going to get one thing, I would get the chile rellano. The cheese was just ooey gooey melt in your mouth good! Ok, the beef tacos were pretty good too. Service was nice. The waiter we had was friendly and attentive. The people in the midwest are generally the nicest people I have ever met. And the people who are good servers outside of the midwest, generally have the midwest in their background somewhere. The best draw of this place is the patio though. I would suggest getting reservations so you can sit outside to watch the fountain. Otherwise the food just isn't worth the prices. This place is a solid 4 out o 5 stars. read more

I recently visited Cantina Laredo based on the positive reviews. My experience was somewhat disappointing. The main positive was our server Fran. She was very responsive and checked on us frequently. But that was about the only real positive experience that we had. The chicken fajitas we ordered were overcooked and lacked flavor. The vegetables that it came with were still partially raw and consisted of almost all onions with just four slices of green peppers. At every other Mexican restaurant I have been to, sour cream comes with the fajita meal. At Cantina Laredo it is a separate charge. Additionally, we initially sat outside. A large party left shortly after our arrival. It took about fifteen minutes before their table was cleared. In the meantime, it looked like a scene from Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds. About a dozen sparrows swarmed the table and had a feast. They kept flying over our heads making me and my wife uncomfortable. They were all over the dishes, table and chairs eating and fighting over food. When the table was eventually cleaned, the busboy simply wiped it down with a wet rag. After requesting to move inside, we saw the same busboy cleaning an inside table with what I presume was the same rag. Birds are filthy animals and I would recommend that management require disinfectant be used to clean their tables. I wish we enjoyed the food here as much as the birds did, but that was not the case. Aside from the good service from our server, I cannot recommend this restaurant. read more

I should never expect to get authentic mexican in Branson (although I think this is a chain). Something about Mexican food and white table cloths seem just not right. And Catina Laredo just wasn't right. I mean, the food wasn't bad, I just wasn't impressed. As a table we all got mixes of tacos, enchiladas and some pork dishes. Honestly the best part was the table-made guacamole. Service, at least when we went, was very sub-par. It took forever to get drinks and we had to ask several times to get basic things (water refills, side of sour cream, etc). The server also NEVER bussed our table of plates, glasses, empty bottles, etc unless we physically forced him to by just handing things to him. Now, I can tell you that, as a family, we are very forgiving. More than half of us have worked/still work in the restaurant business so were not "those customers". I know that this place is in a "touristy" area so I suspect that they don't really care to have quality staff since most people won't ever come back just because they don't live here. For $15-20 per plate I expected better. About the only positive thing I can say was at least the beer was cold. read more

Great food. Very friendly service and I loved the atmosphere. The Apple pie and fried ice cream is amazing.

This is a place to be in Branson (apparently). Cantina Laredo seems to be a little out of place in Branson filled with BBQ and comfort food places, but in my opinion that makes it an attractive place to check out. The location is great. The restaurant seems to be popular given how busy it was on a Monday night at the very end of the summer. I found a seat at the bar and had a couple of Dos Equis on draft. They brought out some chips with mild and hot salsa. Both salsas were pretty disappointing. The chips were good. The chicken quesadilla was ok. Nothing spectacular given that it's a "gourmet" place, but then again there isn't much "gourmet" in quesadillas anyway. The bartender was busy, but he seemed unnecessarily flustered. There were quite a few people there, but he seemed unproportionally hectic. He did make sure to respond to women faster than anyone else, but I get that. Unfortunately, an older gentlemen sitting nearby was getting very frustrated (and rude) because he was not getting any attention or service. It took the bartender quite a while to get my check when I was leaving, too. He was upset when I asked him to split the check, after I asked him to do so when I sat down and ordered. Then it took him another 10 minutes to get back to me with an appropriate check. He did apologize though. Overall, decent environment, ok food (based on a small sample), and ok service. Probably a decent choice if you're not into yet another round of bbq and corn bread. read more

I would eat here again. I highly recommend eating here for lunch or dinner. Servings are plentiful and the food is delicious. Wendy our waitress was very friendly and attentive to our needs and comfort. She kept the chip basket full and made sure our drink glasses were never empty. I highly recommend you try this place!! read more

Cantina Laredo - Make sure you try their guacamole . - Mexican Near Me - Branson, Missouri

This Restaurant is so over priced for the quality of food. We had waited two days to eat here but, never coming back here. The rice is uncle bens rice, no flavor at all, the spinach enchiladas were so disgusting, I only took one bite. It was such a disappointment even my tahini watermelon margarita. I left my $15 drink after one sip. read more

Great service, good appetizers and great drinks!! We wanted a restaurant to relax and get out of the heat. The margaritas were great!

Cantina Laredo did a great job of accommodating our party of 10 for a late lunch. The patio was great, especially since we had two littles in the group. We all ordered different items with several sharing samples and the food was all very good. The only thing we didn't think was great was the white queso. Definitely choose steak over chicken. The shrimp stuffed poblano was great as were the tacos. If you think the entree sounds too big for you, plan to share or take! read more

It's July 3rd and the restaurant was only half full when we got here 30 minutes ago. We told the hostess that we needed any seating for 5 and she looks at me and says it'll be at least a 2 hour and 45 minute wait. I said that's fine because I wanted to talk it over with my group. We looked around and couldn't understand how it is possible that 15+ wide open tables (fully cleaned and set already) are sitting available and no one is being sat at them. I have watched the same 15+ open tables for the last half hour and no one has been sat at a single one! How is this possible? The only thing that's happened during this wasted half hour was more and more people have left which means there is currently at least 20 open, fully set...yet, entirely empty tables. I am so upset! If these tables are supposedly for reservations...then where are those people? If they are late...they lose their table! A more important question is why would you even accept reservations on such an extremely busy night?? I hear that this place is a chain and unfortunately I had a terrible experience and will NEVER BE BACK! read more

Not too shy of a five! My husband and I love this place. We make it a point to visit this place every time we vacation in Branson. It has great food (I love the spinach enchiladas, the queso and the top shelf guacamole). The other thing that's really nice is the location...it at the landing and it is located right next to the river and fountains. It has nice inside seating as well as and outside wrap around patio. We enjoyed sitting outside and watching a free concert. The service was good and even when it was busy we got seated quickly! All around great place! read more

If you are visiting the landing in Branson and have a craving for Mexican food this is a good place to eat. Quenton was an excellent server. He suggested that our son dip his French fries in the white queso cheese, my son enjoyed that suggestions and said it was very tasty. We had the traditional tacos (very tasty) and chicken chimichanga and it was very good. A little heavy on the cheese for my spouse but I really liked it. Quality of food was excellent for the price. Would defiantly come again. read more

Yes As I stated that we would love to come back, we went back again for a second delicious meal there. Did not disappoint!
