Super helpful, knowledgeable, etc. I purchased the services bc we really needed it asap as I had major mold growing in my basement from the previous owners negligence. I do feel like the price was too high but that's a Groundworx issue. NOT a Carlton issue. I understand the rep doesn't control the cost of services. For two days and waterproofing it was around 13-14k. It was extensive work but I did the demolition and removal myself to save $$. The work started and we had Von, Tim, Will and another gentleman. The guys were great. Beyond awesome. They explained so much and helped me with my silly questions. We really enjoyed them and they made the job site so clean it was like they were never there (except for my new pump and my ripped out basement haha ) they clearly know this service/product very well and performed with a highest level of professionalism. The work looks great and I'm happy with the job. I want to review their work bc I feel it is a valuable service and as a company they need to take care of and value these employees. Hard workers are next to impossible to find in today's workforce and it would be in Groundworx best interest to compensate, respect, value and retain these employees.

Their explanation for the increase did not align with standard industry practice and should have been accounted for before the bid was given.A contractor should honor the price they put in writing. Raising the cost after taking a deposit is not acceptable business practice, and I would advise others to proceed with caution. We are currently attempting to have our $1700 deposit refunded.

We paid $10,000 for our crawlspace to be encapsulated in 2023. I would think the key aspect of…read morekeeping the crawlspace dry is the dehumidifier. The one this company installed in 2023 quit working in 2024 after the one year warranty expired and I had to pay $1,000 to have another one installed. March 2025 the dehumidifier quit again. I called and they sent a technician out here and he said the company no longer uses those dehumidifiers. He inferred that they are of substandard quality and if I purchased another it would be quite expensive. He checked the dehumidifier and said my electrical outlet had switched it off. So, I paid an electrician to replace the outlet with one that doesn't automatically switch off. The dehumidifier continued to quit working. So, I asked an HVAC company to come and check it out. He said the dehumidifier is fills with water and cuts off because it isn't draining properly. He emptied it out and said it hadn't been correctly installed. He said it needed a condensation pump and the tubing needed to be replaced. I tried to reach someone at Crawlspaces and More and for weeks never received a return call. I finally received an email from Jim and he said he would come out and make sure the dehumidifier was on and charge me $200. I told them to forget it. I called a reputable company and they installed a very nice dehumidifier and replaced the door to my crawlspace. Ours was wood and rotted because it was decades old. They said Crawlspaces and More should have replaced it to thoroughly encapsulate the crawlspace. The new company installed a custom fit door that is air tight and sealed. I would not recommend Crawlspaces and More.
