They also have other pastries that are great as well. My family loves visiting here. Not only for the treats but also the people. The people that work there are so nice and welcoming. There are many options to choose from, not just doughnuts. Also, Linda's is very affordable. I will definitely be back. Extra note (from my 9 year old) : these are the best doughnuts! They taste so good. Especially the Fruity pebbles.l one.

They had chicken salad sandwiches and maybe a couple other savory products and then a whole lot of the ho ho cakes. There were some folding tables right when you walked in that had beautiful looking brownies and some breads. I settled on a plump looking blueberry muffin and a ho ho cake. The muffin was so moist, fresh, and definitely worth $2. My friend said the ho ho cake was delicious. The woman working, possibly the owner, was very friendly and was working to keep the place clean as I browsed. Parking is available in the shared lot right outside. Id come back again earlier in the day to see if I can catch some donuts or other sweet items.

This new patisserie/bakery/French savant of pastries was a find that I just had to share. I was returning back to the 'burg for my 40th high school reunion. Over the course ofthe weekend we had a wonderful dinner at the Washing Country Club. When I walked into the banquet room I was immediately drawn to the dessert table, a spread of sweets that looked like Heaven - fifteen different kinds of the most delicious pastries and sweets I could have ever imagined. Sandy, the owner, is a world class baker. She created the entire spread in the 48 hours prior to the event. It was exquisite and delicious. Delicate, whimsical, gold leaf on the chocolate covered strawberries, this woman knows how to make a table of classy sweets. I asked her if she would be open to an order from California, as I was returning back to my home, and wanted to try more of these sweets. She's the real deal, she said point blank: "What I make shouldn't try to travel three thousand miles. They are better here, maybe a couple of hours away, but that's it. These are made to be eaten right here." And she's right. I hope I get back soon to see what she's making next. I envy all you connoisseurs of sweets in the Pittsburgh area -- you have a gold mine!

It sells a wide variety of old-fashioned/nostalgic and modern candies, glass-bottled sodas, and gifts for people of all ages. The store is filled with shelves of candies of many kinds--hard, gummy, sweet, sour, chocolates, etcetera--which customers may purchase individually or in bulk. In addition, a candy-buffet wall allows you to fill up a box for $5. The sodas are available in hundreds of flavors. Examples of the gifts are greeting cards, books, mugs, toys and socks. Other fun details: With the Vault Loyalty Program, customers earn 1 snozzberry for each $1 spent, and they may unlock the vault after earning 100, 300, or 500 snozzberries. Customers may rent a video-gaming room for a reasonable price. A toy train moves around a track near the ceiling. During my visit, Grandpa Joe's had installed 10 14-foot-tall inflated ducks on rooftops of nearby buildings. Anyway, I bought several candies, most of which I was not previously familiar with. Each one cost a couple to a few dollars. I thought that they tasted "good."

A delicious restaurant, a fantastic market, a dairy that makes phenomenal milk and a place for amazing events like the fall festival and events with Santa. They even have special events where groups (and often the general public) can sign up for a tour where you get to learn about their dairy operations and even milk a cow! When you visit in the fall, they have a lot of great themed decorations (as well as activities that you can pay to be a part of). But you can enjoy the festive vibes and decor without doing the whole experience if you are short on time or cash. Their food is delicious! The best way to describe it is homemade comfort food! The friendly staff is knowledgeable and will answer any questions you might have about what certain things are or about ingredients. You can also eat fairly affordably, especially for the portion sizes and homemade, quality ingredients. The shop has a variety of souvenir type items (shirts, magnets, mugs, stuffed animals) but also local products like cheese and candy. They also have bakery items and tasty ice cream. Worth a trip for a delicious meal and fun farm experience!

We were away from home and had just eaten at another restaurant, so we purchased only two small things--a brookie (a chocolate-chip cookie with a brownie inside) and a small cherry pie. The total price was $11. On the next day, we ate the brookie and the cherry pie at home. They tasted pretty good. Now I feel interested in trying more of their foods and doing a tour of their farm...
