From early snogs, to puking up after a N5 nightbus trip from Soho, to being chased by weirdos, to witnessing a stabbing to having a quiet moment to contemplate the Menorah that was always set up over Hannukah. Zone 5 on the Northern Line, it doesn't really get much more exciting than this.

Stanmore is the northern terminus of the Jubilee Line on the London Underground. It is in Fare Zone…read more5, with 12 trains per hour to Stratford off-peak (via central London), this increases to 18 trains per hour on-peak. The station has buses outside too, making it also useful to get into Watford, which is around a 35-minute bus journey from here. The station was fairly clean, it has step-free access from the street to the platform, although I would advise who can go up the stairs to do so, as the only fully stepless route involves going through a poorly lit car park which can be pretty dangerous even in the day-time. The ticket gates were open for the whole day, this seemed strange as it could mean people potentially passing through the station and easily evading purchasing a ticket, especially considering I could not find any staff members in the station to patrol this. My friend, who is not from London got charged her usual fair and a maximum fare after touching out twice. Come on TFL, there were two minutes between both taps, how could she travel the whole network in two minutes? A useful station for Stanmore and surrounding towns, they have toilets and buses outside the station that allow you to continue your journey and being a terminus station, there is a train in most of the time, so you can get settled without having to wait on a cold platform. 3*

In the mornings on the commute the upside is that there is an excellent Nisa by the entrance…read morebarriers and coffee shop so that's a plus. However, when there are train delays as there so often are you can find yourself running up and over the platforms as they keep changing the platforms and the staff don't really know what is going on. You see lots of staff milling about but they aren't that helpful. The ticket desk can take ages which can be problematic if you are in a rush. It's well lit inside the train station so that's good at night and there is a 24/7 waiting room open for when it is blowing a hooly outside. They also have vending machines on the platform so no matter what time it is you can get a drink or crisps or something. It's kept really clean.

This is a pretty big station, but that is because this is the station that you use to get to Wembly…read moreStadium. I remember when I was here that was some major concert going on (not that I can remember, but if it is a Wembly stadium, then it is going to be big). Yeah, this station is really designed to funnel people from the train to Wembly stadium, so in that way yeah it's cool.

It's better to Wembley Park than to Wembley Idle, so you don't waste gas…read more Definitely one of the most impressive stations in London on a great many levels. Wembley Park is rocking on a match day or for a concert, and then on other days it's slow and sleepy and serves a little windswept community of middle-income Northwest Linden. Match days are when it comes alive and I love it here at both times. It's amazing although I really really miss the old school Wembley, which I was thrilled to visit a very long time ago when I was a very young child by myself - but don't tell my parents - to see a Michael Jackson concert.

Due to a lift issue at Harrow and Wealdstone Station, I had to take a half an hour detour out of my…read morejourney to continue on my Southern Railway train to Harrow Station, only to end up waiting for another train to take me back to Wembley Central, which goes on the opposite platform with a working lift, this trip to the station because of this was an unwanted one. Harrow and Wealdstone Station is a train station in the Harrow area of London, and for ticketing it is classed as region 5. This is quite an old station, to the point where it was made a Grade II Listed building in 1990. The worst ever British railway crash in 1952, which killed 112 people also sadly occurred here at this station. The station is managed by London Underground but has both Underground and Overground trains. As mentioned this station is pretty old, and it has nothing too special about it, it doesn't have a lot of shops or coffee-shops in the station. Services from here go into the likes of Milton Keynes, Wembley Central and London Euston, with the London Euston being an Overground or London Midland service, as I recall this calls at Wembley Central, so if you're going to watch a football match at Wembley this station isn't too far away for you in terms of getting a train into Wembley. As mentioned, a decent yet not fantastic overall level of more local train connections run from here to the likes of Watford, Milton Keynes, Wembley and London, and this station isn't terrible but overall as it lacks any special feature, other than being a Grade II listed building, I sadly feel Harrow and Wealdstone Station deserves a two-star rating, which even then is a little generous.

Very nice tube station to travel into London to avoid the crazy traffic if you are renting a car…read moreand need to go into central London. They have 2 car parks operated by machine. Very quick to get in / out of the station - just mind where you entered and where you exit. Used the Oyster card and found it very easy to tap in / out. The staff working there are very friendly and will help you out if get confused. Just remember they have 4 platforms and the above ground trains help you see that. Found their bathroom & snack shop very useful for the 35 minute trip into London!

During the strike this station was meant to be open which is why I routed myself here 11.30pm at…read morenight, only to find that would not allow people into the station to get on the trains going thru to edgware but they would allow passengers from edgware and Central London to get off at Golders Green! Had to get a bus to edgware which is a long route. All in all a very bad service today I'm afraid you might just as well not bothered opening if you are going to discriminate against edgware passengers or was it just sheer laziness?

The bus station is not large as such but has a rectangular layout with bus stops on both sides with waiting space in between. The stops are clearly marked and there is an electronic arrival/departure timing boards showing the list of bus routes where buses are expected. The station has a newsagent that sells stuff you need during your travel and also has option to top up the Oyster card as well. There is a small 'Treats' snack shack where you can get small bites and drinks. The station gets extremely crowded during peak times. One of the popular route is 140 which is the service to Heathrow Airport, and is a 24 hr service. As I said, it delivers but nothing to rave about.

The station is located next to the Harrow on the Hill underground station, and just across the road…read morefrom the rear entrance to the St Anns Shopping centre - so very conveniently placed. It has always had a bit of an ongoing thing where it plays classical music throughout the building - I think there was some old thing where classical music prevents kids from staying at a location. Regardless, it's quite nice (although that may be my age aiding that opinion!). The actual layout is a bit of a mess as the buses often get backed up trying to get into the stops around the back of the station as it just takes a little traffic and it all jams up. Plus whenever a bus stops at the first stop around the back, it inevitably jams everything up again. Sadly though, it's a victim of its own success as there simply isn't the footprint available to change the layout to something better since it backs directly onto the underground tracks.
