Due to a lift issue at Harrow and Wealdstone Station, I had to take a half an hour detour out of my journey to continue on my Southern Railway train to Harrow Station, only to end up waiting for another train to take me back to Wembley Central, which goes on the opposite platform with a working lift, this trip to the station because of this was an unwanted one. Harrow and Wealdstone Station is a train station in the Harrow area of London, and for ticketing it is classed as region 5. This is quite an old station, to the point where it was made a Grade II Listed building in 1990. The worst ever British railway crash in 1952, which killed 112 people also sadly occurred here at this station. The station is managed by London Underground but has both Underground and Overground trains. As mentioned this station is pretty old, and it has nothing too special about it, it doesn't have a lot of shops or coffee-shops in the station. Services from here go into the likes of Milton Keynes, Wembley Central and London Euston, with the London Euston being an Overground or London Midland service, as I recall this calls at Wembley Central, so if you're going to watch a football match at Wembley this station isn't too far away for you in terms of getting a train into Wembley. As mentioned, a decent yet not fantastic overall level of more local train connections run from here to the likes of Watford, Milton Keynes, Wembley and London, and this station isn't terrible but overall as it lacks any special feature, other than being a Grade II listed building, I sadly feel Harrow and Wealdstone Station deserves a two-star rating, which even then is a little generous. read more

Very nice tube station to travel into London to avoid the crazy traffic if you are renting a car and need to go into central London. They have 2 car parks operated by machine. Very quick to get in / out of the station - just mind where you entered and where you exit. Used the Oyster card and found it very easy to tap in / out. The staff working there are very friendly and will help you out if get confused. Just remember they have 4 platforms and the above ground trains help you see that. Found their bathroom & snack shop very useful for the 35 minute trip into London! read more

The slow coach underground bakerloo line terminates at this station. Additionally the London Overground and fast trains to Euston stop here. There is a lot of access to this station. There are two parking lots, either off of Sandridge Close or Ellen Webb Drive. The former allows direct access to the platform from the lot. The lot off of Ellen Web requires a short walk along the street into the ticket center. Be aware that the cost for parking on the weekend is 5 pounds and there are no change machines on site. Service at this station has been sketchy when I have travelled through here occasionally on the weekend. Once there was no one working at any ticket booth. There is lift access to all platforms which is great if traveling with a pram or for those having difficulting navigating stairs. This station has fast trains into London Euston (about 15 minutes) so is vey popular and useful for commuters. It also has Bakerloo line trains and trains to Watford and beyond. Thus it is quite a large station. It is baby and disabled person friendly as it has lifts. It also has a car park. read more

A grubby station with some small shops and taxis nearby-useful to take the fast train to London.

Even though you feel like your mile to the centre of London, the link into the centre is pretty good. I get the fast train into Euston every day for my commute and I have to say that in the past year I can only count the number of cancelled trains on one hand and the train is rarely severly late (touch wood). There are 2 fast trains an hour (25 and 55 past the hour) during the day and a few more in the mornings. Once you know when the trains are your journey time could actually be a lot less than peolpe who live in Zone 2 - I neally always beat my friend into the west end and she lives in Hammersmith! ONe thing though, people already on the sliverlink absolutely hate everyone that gets on at harrow and wealdstondont know why but they do seem to think they own their seat and part of the one next to them by refusing to move if you ask to sit down. That winds me up sometime to beware of that! If I fancy a more relaxing trip into oxford circus and I'm not rushed for time I sometimes take the Bakerloo line all the way, where you are promised a seat and I can chill and read my book avoiding the crush at euston. This takes about 45 minutes and the trains are pretty regular. Getting home this way always seems a little long though. I also use the service to clapham junction and Gatwick which I find really useful. This train passes Willesdon Junction, Olympia, West Brompton too so I always use this if I need access to West London and regularly take this when visiting friends in Fulham and Hammersmith. From the Euston end the trains after work are pretty busy but standing for 15 minutes to Harrow and Wealdstone is not the end of the world. Again, there are 2 per hour04 and 34. If you are looking to live in the Harrow area and Wealdstone or Harrow Weald in particular I woudld say dont be put off by the transport, it's actually really good. I was worried about it at first but now I am confident it wont take me all night to get home!! We need more young professionals in our area.come to live in Harrow!!! One last thing to mention and unfoirtunately its not very positive, this station is a bit of a hot spot for suicides! Theres been about three this past month and I even witnessed one last May. I really think National rail and the underground need to do something about this whether it means more cameras, gates, barriers or whatever. read more

They have made efforts to 'pretty' this station up so its much more pleasant to travel from. Sadly, many people choose this station to jump under trains. Slow service at the ticket desk and no oyster card machines either. read more

This is a decent station. Staff are friendly but it can be undermanned. Trains are often late with no announcements. Most annoying thing is when a train changes platform and they only announce it as the train pulls away from its new platform! read more

Gets you to Euston in 15 minutes and when it is staffed, staff are polite and helpful. I tend to stay away from the back car park as it doesn't feel particularly safe there. read more

This station is very accessable to those with mobility issues. The staff are friendly, however often the train times and incorrectly displayed on the TV overheards and trains turn up on other platforms without warning. Having complained already I expected more but have seen no changes. read more
