In the mornings on the commute the upside is that there is an excellent Nisa by the entrance barriers and coffee shop so that's a plus. However, when there are train delays as there so often are you can find yourself running up and over the platforms as they keep changing the platforms and the staff don't really know what is going on. You see lots of staff milling about but they aren't that helpful. The ticket desk can take ages which can be problematic if you are in a rush.
It's well lit inside the train station so that's good at night and there is a 24/7 waiting room open for when it is blowing a hooly outside.
They also have vending machines on the platform so no matter what time it is you can get a drink or crisps or something.
