ACI's bid was very competitive, but what really stood out was their knowledge. I had gotten varied recommendations from other companies about what we needed, but when I asked ACI, they explained everything clearly and with so much expertise. The team showed up on time, and every technician was kind, polite, and tidy. They felt like a great group of people--maybe even family. I would not hesitate to recommend ACI to anyone. This is my second plumbing experience in 2014, this time to replace a disposal that I had irrecoverably jammed with a small metal part. I took the opportunity to upgrade the disposal, and I was very satisfied with the pricing and service. Another plumbing company I had used in the past had shown me a price list with disposals and I recall thinking how high they were. By comparison, Meistad pricing was very reasonable - what I would expect to pay for parts plus labor. Additionally, the call center was friendly and helpful -- my agent researched pricing and options for me on my requested upgrade, and was prompt and courteous in getting back to me with her list of recommended choices and setting up the appointment. And the price was exactly what they quoted, no bait and switch and not add-ons. This will be my go-to plumber in the future.

Devin Bingham of Plumbing Life Houston, Home Services & Repairs LLC is someone I suggest you never…read moredo business with, I will not again. The following is my experience with him: Monday; 3:02 PM, First contacted him; he said "I will be there in 2 hours" Called him again around 6:15 PM, he said traffic and the rain storm were delaying him, (which is understood I figured). He arrived about 6:50 PM - and said he couldn't do the work on the broken outside rear faucet right now because of the rain, (semi-legitimate, understood). He spent the next 2 hours trying to sell me a complete re-piping of my home. After many times telling him, I wasn't even going to consider that now and I just wanted the outside faucet dealt with today! About 8:00 PM, He left to go to Home Depot to get a cap to place on the pipe so I could have water in the house again. At 9:15 PM he returned and tried to cap off the pipe. It didn't work. It started to spray back into the house from the cap. This meant I would spend the night without water!!! That is 7 hours from contacting him for a 5 minute failed job. About 10:00 PM he said he would return at 10:00 AM the following morning. Then he "quoted" me a price of $275.00. Tuesday; About 10:45 my son-in-law called him for second time on Tuesday and also texted him in an attempt to contact him to get an updated time frame for arrival, no answer or replies. Son-in-law then threatened to cancel the job in a phone message. Devin called back about two minutes later. In the mean time I removed a portion of my dry-wall for him to be able to access the pipe from inside to replace the pipe through the wall, (for his convenience). About 11:15, Devin arrived. He made a cut in a portion of the pipe about 15 inches on the inside from the 90 degree elbow heading out the wall, then prepared to replaced 6 inches of that removed copper pipe with Pex pipe. Then in the middle of the job he disappeared for about an hour (I assume he went to Home Depot). He then returned and soldered a short stub into the elbow and left for over an hour, again. Quote: "the copper is hot and it needs to cool off, I'll be right back and finish the job in a couple minutes." About 2:15 PM, He connected the Pex pipe and finished the job. We were then able to turn the water on to the house. About 2:30 I gave him my credit card to settle up. He then said he charged me $300.00 and left. Wednesday: My credit card is showing that Plumbing Life Houston charged me $300.00, twice, so he double charged me. Please read some of the other reviews, he did that to others too.
