I've used Cano Painting since 2015 and I made the mistake of not using them on an interior. Bad idea. However, I used them for this exterior and couldn't be happier. I had the crazy idea of painting the eaves white and the body and fascia gray. For those of you playing at home, this adds another level of difficulty to the process, but Michael and his team were not only up for the challenge, it looks beautiful! See my photos. Hire this company! Mike and John spent 2 weeks at our house, with fully 5 days spent on prep. They scraped and cleaned and did a fantastic job on our windows, which had varying levels of dry rot. They replaced boards and cleaned up (new homeowner) caulking mistakes. By the time the house was ready to paint, you could already see the improvement. Additionally, they made some choices in type of paint to help the south and west side of our house weather the intense summer heat and other weather better over the long term. We had a 4-color paint job, which included different colors on different sides of the house. Mike and John were accommodating to a couple last changes some spots. Lastly, they are both good guys and friendly. If you're going to have people at your house 8 hours a day for 5-10 days (or more), these are the ones you want around. As a woman, I've grown weary of being "educated" by male contractors, and there was literally NONE of that here. They were even nice to our rambunctious puppy. Our house looks fantastic! I am 100% satisfied with my experience with Mike Cano and his team. I found Mike on Yelp, looking for an exterior paint job. Impressed with his multiple outstanding reviews, I gave him a call. Within a week, his team was paint brushes up on the house. I immediately noticed how tidy and quick his team was. After the base coat was on the stucco, I did a quick walk around and appreciated the clean lines. Their professionalism was apparent. The project hit a road bump when I came home and noticed that 2 of the 3 paint colors I selected weren't what was on the house. Surprised and alarmed, I consulted with the painter. Mike was on the scene in just 10 mins. Long story short, the colors were wrong (personally I blame the paint mixer at the store). Mike fixed it. Even though the house was painted, he had his team repaint it in the correct colors, in just one day. Pros: speed, professionalism, affordable cost, responsive customer service, emails an official quote but is available to communicate via text which is convenient. Cons: obviously I would have preferred the colors in the shades I wanted the first go around. But painters are human. Mistakes happen. I'd recommend Mike to a team for sure. Manual laborers are a dime a dozen. But business owners who stick to their word and are committed to their quality of work and reputation are much harder to find. Pro tip: ask what vendor his lead painter will buy paint from so you can select your paint colors from that company to ensure consistency. read more

Cano Painting exceeded my expectations and my wife and I were amazed at their craftsmanship when they turned our outdated home and turned into entirely new environment. Our house needed a lot of work, and the prior painter's attempt needed a substantial amount of correction (re-work). To be honest, not many painters wanted to take on the work and walked away without submitting a bid. Mike Cano's easy-going nature and humor made him a joy to work with and allowed for great communication during the process. We knew what was happening at each step of the process. In addition to the interior wall painting, he did an excellent job on lacquering and painting wall panels and desks, as well as our pocket doors throughout the house. This is my second review. Once again I used Cano Painting and am happy with the results. This time I had a dinning room, living room, hall, den and bedroom painted, I wouldn't use any other painter. Three of my rooms were two tone, white trim base boards and window sills. The lines between color and white are flawless. He continues to pay attention to detail and is reliable. I painted houses part time during college, so I am at least somewhat familiar with what makes for a good painter, and Mike Cano is a great painter, while still offering a very reasonable price. We had Mike come from Sacramento to San Francisco to do a thorough prep and paint job of our 1906 apartment. Since we are renters (under rent control), we didn't want to strip down to the wood but we wanted a pro job that was affordable. Mike did it. He fixed cracked plaster walls, water-damaged and chipped ceilings, and dealt with a 100 year's worth of paint over paint. He and his assistant Richard worked fast, were communicative, were efficient, and did not rush at the expense of quality. I really lucked out in finding Mike and his crew to paint the full interior of my 1918 rental property. Mike was professional and conscientious from the onset. He was flexible and consultative to cater the scope of work, while balancing my need to control expense. He educated me on the types of paint that would work best for each application, to ensure the greatest durability and historical aesthetic of the building. During the job, Mike and John were accommodating to the downstairs tenant's schedule, so as to minimize disruption to her baby's mid day naps...pretty awesome touch if you ask me. My neighbor hired Cano Painting to paint the exterior of his house and for a couple of weeks, I watched how meticulously Mike and his crew did the work. They power washed the house, then sanded, primed, and sealed the cracks. The paint job was amazing!! I knew this was who I wanted to paint my house.
