Used to be good . No more though . When the state drops their fee the canna care docs just added it to their own fee so they can keep it at 150 when the other places in ct only charge 45 . And they dont do anything . You stilll have to register yourself with the state . Just call the online place 45.00 bucks instead . I figured because that would be easier , but they just tell you to do it yourself and if something goes wrong they will tell YOU TO CALL THE STATE . Then if its still wrong and have not been able to get it because of whatever reason there is no refund and there is no where to go because they do not have any open store front to walk into . They cancelled the first appointment, then the second, then want us to wait 4 weeks for a next appointment for our meds? Don't think so. Should be at the top of the list, not way down the bottom. Now we have to take a day off to drive over the Berkshire Mountains to a place we don't know and never have been to before. I expected to just stop in for some info and start what I thought would be a cumbersome process, but it ended up being super simple. The people at Canna Care on W Boylston Street are great! Callie took the time to explain everything in detail to me and at no point did I feel rushed or judged. The nurse, Dr. Ives, and everyone else on staff was super informative and helpful. I didn't feel at any point that this was a scam. Everyone there is very knowledgeable and friendly. The whole process took about an hour and a half and cost $200. I even left with some references for reading in regards to my medical condition. Really great experience. Convenient to get done and very understanding kind people. You don't need an appointment-- you can just walk in. The appointment is $200. There was a long wait when I dropped in so they had me fill out the paperwork then called me in about an hour and said come back. I was examined and met with the doctor who was extremely nice. I explained my conditions (anxiety, depression, insomnia, PTSD) and he agreed that cannabis would be therapeutic. I was then given advice about dosage and forms of the medication and advised about what I should and should not do; you obviously cannot drive while on your medication, use it in a public place, or share it, etc. But you can buy up to 10 ounces in a 60 day span of time and you can grow your own therapeutic plants. Once you have the medical certification they give you a sheet of paper that explains how you finish registering with the state online. You need a clear pic of your driver's license in jpg form (I just used my cell phone and emailed it to myself) and a payment of $50. The paperwork states you need a "passport type" pic of yourself but you really don't-- the system will ask if you want to just use the pic from the license you uploaded. Go with that because it cuts the risk you'll be rejected and told to get a new pic. Within 15 days your full application is processed by the state and at that point you're allowed to print and use a temporary license. Then 1-2 weeks after that the official license comes in the mail. And the doc say and talked to me and looked at the recomendatio.n from my primary doc asking Cannacare to please help me and my records and examined me. But he also took a WHILE getting to know me. ANOTHER big bonus is I happened to run into owner of CANNABUS MEDICAL MARIJUANA DELIVERY. I have been very hesitant to try medical marijuana but when my neurologist wrote a letter of recommendation for me explaining that there are no anti-epilepsy medications left for me to try and I am not a candidate for brain surgery I decided I had no other options. I decided to try Canna Care in Worcester and went there with my letter and my medical records from the past two years. There staff was extremely knowledgable and friendly. I was informed on all of the possible risks, the adverse effects of marijuana and the current laws in our state. I then met with the doctor who went through my papers and even suggested another possible holistic approach to treating my seizure disorder. It surprised me to hear other recommendations from the doctor but it showed that she was more concerned with my health than with me just returning the following years. They made sure that I understood the entire registration process with the state and were willing to walk me through the whole process right there if I wanted to.
