I don't know what it is but every time I go to this dispensary it's a hassle. It doesn't matter if I order online to pick up, or just walk right in. Every other dispensary I've been to is so nice and helpful, glad you're there, glad you're spending your money there, except at SWC. I don't get it. There are some great people who work there but there's also a lot of people who make me feel like they don't want my business. It's too bad because they are the closest dispensary to my home & they have the exact products we use. Lucky for me, there are lots of other dispensaries in town. I'm done with this one. The list of available selections was outdated and inaccurate, when I asked if it would be easier if they would tell me what they had available, the bud tender seemed put out. This will be my last trip into SWC Tempe, regardless of how good the deal is. I've also downgraded them to a one star dispensary. Don't have specials if you can't accommodate consumer demand. It's the middle of the afternoon for crying out loud, not the end of the day. Original review: Stopped in for the BOGO Select cartridges. This had been one of the few dispensaries to take debit & it was down - had to use the ATM in the lobby (plus pay the fees). I wish they'd notify patients of things like this they way they do for daily specials (text) so I could save some bank fees or maybe offer to take the fees off your final total, but whatever. This trip was going to cost me an extra $5-7 as a result. I didn't have the time to leave, get cash & come back. I'm blind as a bat & require corrective lenses. My prescription sunglasses were on & I did not have my indoor glasses with me (rarely do when running errands). The bud tender told me I needed to remove my glasses because of a 'law about disguises' before greeThey were obviously prescription & once I pointed it out, he let it go. I've never been asked to remove my prescription eyewear at a dispensary before. Are the guys with beards expected to shave in the parking lot before entry..? I mean, it's a disguise after all. The customer service here isn't on par with other dispensaries. It just feels like they know they could do better & elect not to. When you aren't the best priced or highest quality game in town, these are risks I'm not sure you should be taking with your business, but you do you. To date, one of the best dispensaries I've ever visited. I've definitely cheated myself for the past year by visiting the closest dispensary to my home for the sake of convenience. To be fair, I've only been to Cannabist twice, but the quality has been of such exquisite caliber that I have full confidence when I say this is my new regular stop. Both associates I've had have been incredibly friendly and helpful, not to mention the incredible deals they have for first timers. My tolerance is normally obnoxiously high, but both purchases I've made have knocked out my roommates within two hits and knocked me out after one bowl. read more

I've been going to Cannabist on and off for almost a year and have had no complaints UNTIL NOW. I ordered ahead online(first time) a simple bogo order of 2 pre rolls that cost 15$ each. My gf picked up the order and said it cost 25$ so I looked at the receipt. Nowhere in the online order did it say they charge a $5 "EXPRESS FEE" for simply ordering online. On top of that, they never asked in person to round up the change, but the receipt did show a roundup to the nearest dollar and both of these were without acknowledgement. I find this highly unprofessional, and just wanted to spread awareness to this misinformation. There are too many dispensaries around to give your business to this particular one. read more

I usually liked coming here because the quality is pretty good but yesterday I went in and got 5 - 8th oz jars and a gram of concentrate to get my order over a specific amount to receive a 100mg edible which I spoke about and paid the order. Noticed that the Budtender didnt add this edible in like he was supposed to, and I brought this up after I'd increased my order just to receive it, the woman managing explained that they must have just run out and that she would offer me $5... I put my order over $100 to get to get this extra edible and I explain to her, "how is a $5 credit suppose to suffice the value of a 100mg edible that your budtender just didn't add in" She's said "mmm yeah that's fair, but the five dollars would be a courtesy" I just walked out, because I'm not spending hundreds so their team can treat my like I'm a homeless man when they mess something up and act like $5 is going to make me dance about the situation instead of having real customer service and maybe just comping another edible or a pre roll or SOMETHING. I just thought it was so funny because I have a sense of humor but my "rep or teller" was horrible and definitely made my visit terrible. So he was upset because the guess walked away and a guy walked pass and said go head, telling myself to go head to the teller, so I approached the counter and he angrily says "I have to call you to the counter" and on the inside I laughed, but I respectfully told him "hey feel free to take care of whatever you want to, I'll wait". Staff falsely advertise. They never update there website through leafly. They have numerous concentrates on display for weeks/months at a time that are never in stock. I called an asked if Grow Science was in stock and he clarified that there was so much that i didn't need to do phone order or order online. so i hopped in an uber to there to be told that they aren't in stock and cannot take care of me. after i had just called and clarified before hand. And this is not the first time i have called and asked specifically for them to make sure an item was in stock for me and then i go there within hour for the product to not exist and them look at me stupid. reached out to them as well and they just read my message regarding another issue. This place is great and super customer service oriented! I noticed some price for flower is a little higher (11+ a g) than other dispensaries but edibles are a great deal! They offer a great referral program and also have a reward program as well! Ask about it! I love the cleanliness and the esthetic this dispensary has. Andrea helped me find the perfect strain and was one of the friendliest budtenders I've had at any dispensary I've been to. Will definitely return!! Also, THEY TAKE DEBIT CARDS!!! So convenient!
