He spends the whole day playing with the other dogs and goes on the pack walk. The staff are always excited to see our puppy and handle his energy very well. They have a lot of good training recommendations and you can tell they are true dog lovers. We work downtown and the location is very convenient. The facility they have is very nice - I love the window by the front desk so you can see all the dogs when you come to pick up your dog. They are also pretty active on Instagram so you can see how things are going during the day or if they do any event photoshoots! (Halloween and thanksgiving photos were so adorable).

The front desk employees and groomer were lovely and welcoming, but the haircut for my little Pomeranian was done so poorly and unevenly. It is definitely the worst one I've seen since owning my dog for 3.5 years. At drop off, the groomer did ask how to cut his fur and I showed her photos of previous haircuts. It's been a few weeks since and the choppiness and unevenness has grown out to be even worst now. Everyone that has visited us lately has commented on how bad the haircut is. I do have a difficult dog to groom as he is extra fluffy with two layers of fur, but I did expect a better job especially at the high price. It was our first time so we used the 25% discount on Yelp, and the discounted price was still more than what we pay at other places. $84 before discount and $63 net. I usually pay around $60 before tip. Wouldn't return and I'm quite surprised at the end result. Maybe this is meant to be more of a daycare only type of location? I can't comment on the daycare services given the positive reviews on here however.

First, I was told he'll be put in a structure program for free then the week after he is being too much and I should enroll him in their training program for $73 a day. The manager I spoke to said if I brought my pup for daycare they'll just keep him in a private kennel the whole day. I think the daycare should have a right to remove disruptive dogs but it's not fair the way they are giving me the choice either expensive training enrollment or get the private kennel. I paid for the daycare package, I should be able to get a refund at least on the remaining unused days. There has been no response to my email request for a refund, that ruined my experience. The daycare itself isn't bad, great hours and camera access, the staff was nice as well. Update: still never received any emails/calls from the manager Jeff that everyone keep directing me to reach but I was able to get a refund by going in person. Lots of respect to the owner Linda reaching out to understand what went wrong and try to fix things.

my dog had his dewclaws ripped out after buying and wearing Ruffwear shoes on a walk…read more I brought this information to the store the following day, that he was selling a flawed product that harms animals. He told me he can't afford to lose $75 to return them. They were in the same condition as i bought them! Says he can only return dog shoes if they were worn indoors. Like dog shoes were made to be worn inside the house..... And no mention of that on the receipt.

The store denied any wrongdoing. Half of her body was bruised up. She could not move for days and she had difficulities breathing. In addition, she barely had a hair cut despite $80+ service charge. The hair was still long and uneven. It was obvious that our dog probably fell from the table and the technican stopped cutting her hair. However, the store denied any wrongdoing or they did not even apologize. We are dog owners of 13+ years and never encounter something so horrible!!! Will NEVER take her to this place again. We will never trust their technicans. Careless behaviour, incompetence and worse of all, they did not apologize or admit wrongdoing.

The store carries the cutest pet jackets and sweaters, beds, bowls and dishes; they even carry hats and ties!!! Really they have a couple of rows to totally pimp up your little best friend with fashion bling and best of all it is quite affordable. There are so many reasons to come here, first of all the wonderful colourful and chewable toys that you see when you come in. The natural and organic pet food. There is even a raw food line that is frozen so that you can take home and it is fresh. They even have a special line of pet food that has been processed in the "Slow Bake" manner. So much of the selection looks good enough to eat, plus I found the store so well organised and so nice to look at. Suzanne prides herself in only choosing the best products for your little critters and it reflects in her store. The Barking Lot Pet Store offers a lot to bark about.

I thought all petlands would be the same but I was surprised to find out that they didn't have dogs and only very few animals compared to others that I have been too. I was also surprised that when I told the employees they also didn't know that other locations had dogs and they didn't . As for the store I feel like having the dogs, perhaps, has to do with the size of the store and this store did feel smaller than the other locations. However, it felt like they were trying to put the same amount of items in this store, therefore, making it feel very crowded and smaller isle space.

I asked to speak to the owner because I am honestly shocked, I was super polite during our conversation and as a person who gets my dog groomed every 6 weeks consistently wanted to ask some simple questions and make sure we were on the same page. It took a number of phone calls and me actually going into the shop to speak to the owner. They have definitely lost us as a customer but wanted to forewarn others.
