After a little over an hour, the kids took a short break and removed their harnesses. When they were ready to resume, they were told their session had ended. Staff indicated that this policy had been explained to the children, but no clear communication was provided to the supervising adults. After speaking with other parents, none of the children recall being told that removing their harness would end their session. Relying on children to fully understand a rule that ends a paid experience--without informing parents--is not sufficient, especially for a group. At over $50 per child, we expected a longer experience, which left many disappointed. We hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves communication for group visits to ensure future families can fully enjoy the experience.

I gave it a chance but ended up leaving. The boat ride was also closed "due to low water" also not noted on the app. The park was clean, and the water felt amazing, but the mermaid show was something I'd looked forward to due to the longevity/history of it. Everyone needs time to learn, and I certainly don't fault the mermaids for that. A simple "training show" note in the app would have helped us know what to expect. We did our research; we just wish the information had been complete. Sounds like miscommunication and lack of transparent information had earned them a lot of low reviews.

Overall, it's a fun place to keep kids entertained for a few hours, especially on hot or rainy days. We have an annual pass for the kids, and we usually get the chaperone band since a few rides require an adult to ride with the child. There is no admission ticket required to enter the park, which I really like. You can either buy tickets for individual rides or get a pass if you plan to visit more often. The ride attendants follow the height requirements pretty strictly, which is good to see. There is also a large cafeteria, and the food is okay, not anything special, but convenient when you're there with kids. The annual pass is definitely worth it for us. It's a fun place to spend a few hours with little kids without feeling overwhelmed or exhausted, and older kids can enjoy it just as much.

Mreakfast was a whole different challenge. Mickey churro waffles, smoked salmon, crispy hash brown patties, and ALL the fresh fruit (which somehow tastes better when you're not the one cutting it). At Cabanas, the buffet lunch favorites included fresh shrimp, international eats, and whatever dessert was making its daily debut. With all that eating, I was happy to burn off some fuel at the gym. There was a good variety of cardio machines, weight equipment, and free weights. I just wish the lifting area were more spacious, although the glass panels in certain spots doubled as mirrors! Room service was fantastic, and twice-daily room cleaning? As a Type A organization fanatic, I felt SEEN. Nothing says vacation like someone else keeping things tidy. Would I cruise Disney again? Probably not, with the kids getting older. But Disney will always be near the top of my list for families looking for fun, delicious eats, and an actual chance to RELAX on vacation. Communicating your needs directly to your staff is simply not enough to keep your food safe. I do not eat pork. Even though I added this to my profile before the cruise, the system failed to save it. I verbally informed my servers at every single meal including the breakfast and lunch staff at Royal Court going over the menu each time. On our last full day at sea, two separate incidents occurred: first, lunch soups at Royal Court arrived with unlisted pork (sausage in the lentil soup and bacon in the clam chowder) not disclosed on the menu, leaving the servers completely unaware. That night at dinner, after explicitly requesting pork free sides with my beef entree, my plate was still served with pork. Worst of all was the dining supervisor response. While she did apologize for the menu error regarding the lunch soups, she placed the full blame on me for the dinner incident. She claimed I had not informed the staff, and later stated that when a guest notifies a server of an unlisted restriction, the server protocol is to direct the guest to Guest Services to update their file. None of the servers I spoke to throughout the entire trip ever gave me this guidance. Instead of taking responsibility for her team failure to follow Disney own procedures, the manager deflected blame onto the guest. Ending our last full day at sea this way completely ruined our vacation experience. Disney heavily advertises its handling of special diets, but their lack of staff protocol execution and defensive management proved otherwise. I will not be returning.

I have three boys so of course nothing is going to be cheap. For two activities it cost $128 dollars. They were busy so for instance the rope course we had to wait for several times. The mini golf is glow in the dark but not a large scale just a miniature option. There was a cord in the middle of one of the holes which is a hazard if someone tripped over it. They have several activities to choose from being ropes course, rock climbing, bowling, arcade, laser tag, axe throwing. You do get some arcade credits but they're kind of a waste counting on each kid got 60 credits and one game was 30 credits. We didn't eat here but I did have a drink from the bar, the bartender was kinda and fast and the drink was good for the money. The staff seemed to be pretty nice. I mean at the end of the day you do what you can in a setting like this. There are things I would do differently but if you need in indoor activity definitely give it a try if you have some money to burn.

The check-in process was a little slow-going, but the staff were friendly and professional and got us taken care of as soon as possible. On the website and in emails, they tell you what you need to bring and what they provide. DON'T FORGET YOUR WATERPROOF PHONE CASES! They don't include that on the list, but they sell them for $40. Bring your GoPro too, if you have one. For some of the special experiences, like the SeaVenture, they will offer to let you use one and then they will charge you for the videos and images. I was kicking myself because I forgot to bring either. Our interactions with the gift store staff were probably the least enjoyable. They seemed uninterested in assisting us and would rather count down their drawers or take inventory than ring us out. One lady told us that the other would assist us but eventually saw that the extensive wait time was unreasonable, especially in an otherwise empty store. Our most enjoyable interactions were with the marine life! I was not a fan of the full-body wetsuit that I was told was required for the SeaVenture. Sizing was eye-balled and inaccurate! I also got a pretty nasty rash after wearing it. I have extremely sensitive skin that did not agree with that material or the fact that it is shared and I'm not sure how they are cleaned/sanitized. When we arrived to the SeaVenture, almost every other participant was wearing the short-sleeved, shorts version of the wetsuit. I wish I had been given the option to choose. The dolphins were absolutely adorable and so entertaining. The aviary was fun and interesting, and the birds ate ALL DAY, despite what I'd read and heard through videos about needing to get there first thing in the morning. The current in the lazy river was the only thing lazy about the river. You do have to work to move around in there. I spent the majority of my time in the grand reef. Snorkeling for the first time in an atmosphere like this was 10 out of 10 highly recommended! If we come back again in the future, we'll skip the Day Bed rental, as we didn't utilize it at all. I got it just in case it started raining. I wanted us to have shelter. It did rain while we were there and I just stayed in the Grand Reef until it stopped! We had fun during our "under the sea" adventure (SeaVenture), but I could skip that next time. I would've opted for a dolphin encounter instead. The food was just okay. It's hard to mess up breakfast, so it was good, but lunch was meh. I had some very basic salmon and some creamy, but unseasoned, macaroni and cheese. We also had the drink package and tried to get our money's worth, but it isn't very wise to get tipsy and go snorkeling, so opted to focus on the snorkeling.

On February 8, 1837, a force of Seminole Indians led by Emathla and his son, Coacoochee, attacked the camp, resulting in the Battle of Camp Monroe. Captain Charles Mellon died defending the fort and 14 soldiers were injured. The fort was renamed in his honor. Mellon was said to be buried near where he was killed under a large tree. Over the following months, the other soldiers killed at Fort Mellon were buried at a cemetery nearby the fort. Later on Mellon was reinterred in a cemetery in St. Augustine but not all of the bodies were moved. The remaining dead, about 20-26, who were buried at Fort Mellon are still there and nobody knows exactly where. Over time, the fort was abandoned and the cemetery was lost. The area around the fort developed into the city of Mellonville which was eventually annexed by Sanford. In January of 1938, the city commission voted to name a new park after Fort Mellon. Today the park is a popular gathering spot for outdoor recreation for the City of Sanford. Over 17 acres the community can enjoy basketball courts, outdoor exercise equipment, a fort themed playground, eight picnic pavilions equipped with tables and grills, and Central Florida's largest splash pad. The history, waterfront views, and well kept facilities have made this park a beloved destination for family fun in Sanford for decades. One for bigger kids and then a side for smaller kids. Perfect for families of different aged children. Both sides have really fun features for the kids. The older side resembles a castle with lots climbing, slides and a draw bridge. The younger side resembles a ship. It has rocking boats, shorter steps, and baby swings. This park has a nice padded floor but it is not covered. With the water near by and the direct sunlight it can be very hot for children so pay attention to this. Next to the park is the splash pad which is very large and fun for kids. The bathroom is located between the two. Some parts of the park seem unfinished or under construction. Overall it's a nice park with a lot to offer for locals or visitors.

We also don't have members of the family of the right age for Dr Seuss, and given we live near a Six Flags some of the Marvel area rides are similar to things we ride more frequently closer to home. So our main stop was checking our Harry Potter, and Jurassic Park. (Plus, I rode Hulk on my own out of a random bit of horror movie nostalgia. It was the ride used during a part of the House on Haunted Hill remake!) We still had fun, but generally knocked out most of what we wanted to do in the Harry Potter area quickly during early morning hours. We admittedly did a bit of park hopping do all of the Harry potter stuff at the start of the day, especially given the Univeral side had short hours during our trip where IOA had really long hours. My kiddo for sure wants to come back once the River Adventure is back up, and hopefully if they decide to fix Kong.

My boyfriend definitely enjoyed the velocicoaster and wanted to go on again! Definitely more fun with kids but we had a good time! It's amazing how busy the park was but it wasn't horrible. I would definitely come back to Universal to check out the other parks since we couldn't fit in all four parks! The trip made us watch Harry Potter series from the beginning which was fun!

In my late teens, I finally found the courage to go on the Hulk ride. It's the fastest and scariest coaster I've ever been on! Hulk yelling at the beginning doesn't help btw! I don't like drop rides, so I avoid the Doom fall. I'm glad Universal and Disney still have an agreement to keep this part of the Island! It would be sad to see it go!
