Our experience with Green Scene Home Inspections was extremely concerning. The company's owner came…read moreto our home after a major appliance listed in their report was called into question. During that visit, he made unprompted remarks about my personal life that had nothing to do with the inspection. When I told him that his behavior felt intimidating, he responded that he had researched me on the "deep dark web." We then asked that our interactions remain strictly professional and limited to inspection-related matters, but he declined to agree to that boundary. The encounter left us feeling unsafe and deeply uncomfortable. We have since filed a formal complaint with the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) regarding this incident. It is our personal recommendation to stay very far from this company. Homeowners deserve respect, professionalism, and basic privacy when inviting someone into their home.

I scheduled the pumping for the next day, called Dave and told him it was done and he returned within an hour or so. The original sewer lines are 85 years old; the "addition" lines are 47 years old, so there were major issues. Tree roots had broken in in some spots, pipe had rotted in other spots, and of course everything that needed attention is under concrete! With the use of the camera technology and state of the art equipment, Dave and his son had everything working properly, including resetting a toilet that had been backing up as well as a walk in shower and a lav drain. Because of the camera and equipment, they only had to open up a four square foot area of concrete. It took several days and a goodly sum of money, but it is worth every penny. The new re-lined sewer pipes will last longer than me.

We wish we had him for our first inspection when we were buying the house. His price was very reasonable; especially after getting some outrageously expensive quotes and some questionably low "11 month quotes" from other inspectors only to find out that they don't have to abide by the same new home purchase inspection standards set by the TREC. We were given a long report with pictures and recommendations which we submitted to our builder for warranty repair. Paul cut no corners and we plan on referring him to our neighbors who needs the first inspection and/or their 11 month.
