Was in this store yesterday around 2 ish with my 5-year-old Grandson. Mostly looking for candy. The…read moreselection was good. The store is clean and lots of things to buy. But, and this "but" is serious. While we were there a woman entered not wearing a mask. No staff member asked this woman to wear a mask or why she was not. She proceeded to walk through the store again maskless;. At the cash area, she was behind me and I asked her "where is your mask" Her reply was "if you did any research you would know I do not have to wear a mask and neither should anyone else" I thought oh great a conspiracy follower and did not respond. But what bothered me was as I was leaving the store the cashier said to thid lady in my hearing "that was a good answer you gave to her". I have no problem with personal beliefs, having said that I am extremely high high risk. What bothered me most was this employee is purposely not maintaining the Health department and Ministry of health regulations to help stop the spread of this deadly virus therefore putting others at risk. I feel she should have approached this customer and at least asked where her mask was and with a nonmedical exemption answer reminded this customer of the rules every business is supposed to follow. I have been in medicine for over 40 years, have seen lots of noncompliant humans. I don't have time to change minds if they are ignorant to this pandemic. But I do not wish to frequent an establishment that does not comply to recommended health department advice that we are all supposed to follow. I think this establishment needs to instruct their staff to keep their opinions to themselves and help us as a community ensure the safety of their clients. I will not be shopping in this establishment again. Too risky at this time. I did report to the Health department so I am hoping they will be reminded of their obligation to our community .

I was surprised how big this place is. They really do have a little bit of everything. We walked…read moreout of there with like 20 items for around $25. Tons of product all for very cheap. And it seems to be reasonable quality for the most part.

I first discovered Uncle Terry's from the Ex. From their name and branding it gives an impression…read morethat they've been around for a while (give me a bit of Honest Ed's feel, I don't know why) but it's actually been about 2 years and this location near Kensington Market being their newest. When you come in, it does give a slight attic smell, which I don't mind. They told me they usually restock on Thursdays and the other location by Sterling Road usually carries even more inventory. I purchased a shiatsu massager and back up Aukey earphones that were new in package from the Ex. However, the earphones didn't work. The great thing is they are one of the few or probably only liquidators that I know that allows for a 7 day return if there's an issue. Normally most discount liquidators I've been to, it's pretty much the final sale. I wasn't able to visit within 7 days, but did send them an email with the issue with the earphones so they extended the warranty for me to come in within the end of the month to get store credit or exchange, which I'm so grateful for. Apparently they sold hundreds of those earphones and only a few came back with issues. I was able to drop by yesterday after work and decided to exchange for another shiatsu massager for my in-laws. What I appreciate about this spot is that it's relatively organized in shelves with multiple copies of an item. There are bargain bins too for $5 if you really want to search for any deals and treasures. I much prefer than other liquidators where usually things are thrown in bins and you don't know exactly what it is until you open it. The staff there was also super patient and friendly. Definitely if you're in the area peek in and see if you score any deals. They will be moving back inventory from the Ex today and the pricing seems to be the same. Though they might offer tax off discounts with cash at the Ex but not at the store.

I am forever grateful that she was there helping me, she has the kindest smile that could light up the whole store. Unfortunately I ran into this weird man who's name tag wrote Philip, that was an unpleasant sight. He was very rude and if I remember clearly, he was being a huge dick to carlie. Carlie deserves a raise, and never put her on door again, thank you:) On a different note I was highly disappointed in the maple cheerios. They were not as good as I hoped, they tasted bland and I would like a refund:( However, The honey and oats cheerios were very impressive and I will definitely be returning for more. PS: don't ever be mean to carlie or I will protest outside the store with a megaphone!

I have been ordering my groceries from Walmart for a few years now. But they have a habit of going…read moreinto my bank account 2 and 3 times to change the order balance which costs me $1.25 each time. But this isn't the real issue. I made an order. They charged my Visa before they even got the products off of the shelf which is standard practice for them. Take our money before they even serve us. But then when items aren't available, the amount changes. So they go back into my account and change it. But this time they didn't credit the first amount and I ended up getting charged both amounts. I called,... I went to the store, I called again and then again. I did there wait 5 days, still no money. I waited 10 days - still no refund. I call again and this time it will still be 24 - 48 hours to get my $130 back. That is out and out theft of my bank account. Even today, on my last call they are blaming my bank for the hold up. Not true. i had already spoken to my bank and they hadn'[t even requested a credit. LIARS! And I STILL DONT HAVE MY MONEY. I now have to make a transaction dispute through my bank. THIEVES!
