I first tried the "fancy" lokum at Lokum in Santa Barbara and have been obsessed with it since, but haven't been able to find any in L.A. So when I saw the case, I had to get some! The gentleman behind the counter was so nice and helpful and described all the different flavors of lokum, and they all sounded yummy, so I got a bit of most of them. I asked if they were made in house and he said there was a place that made them for the shop. He also showed me all the fresh roasted peanuts on the counter and offered me some samples. The lightly salted ones were so good, so I also purchased a small bag of them. They also have a variety of other nuts that I'd like to try in the future, as well as Dubai chocolate - which seems to be popping up at every Mediterranean place I've gone to lately - even restaurants. Once I got home, I tried all the flavors of lokum I purchased and they were all delightful! I'm so glad I stopped by and discovered the goodies at this shop!

This location does not have a candy counter where you can make your own custom mix, they only sell pre-packaged gift items. All numbers are available, large ball stars are $30 ($33 if you want to customize the character and colors; allow 1 week for custom orders), and large other shapes including my chosen Wednesday piñata are $40. Other cute options in stock were a cactus, unicorn, dia de los muertes girl, etc. They receive new piñata shipments from Mexico every Friday, and the contents of each shipment are not known in advance, so you'll likely have the most selection on Friday/Saturday. In addition to their strawberries, they sell other local produce, pantry items, candy, and treats like jams and local honey. They also carry eggs from Billy's Farm in Chino, Ca. We buy eggs from Billy's farm time to time, so it was nice to see them at this cute little market. We love all the produce and strawberries purchased! Also, we got some local brand Guacamole, Salsa, and Corn Chips. The corn chips from La Tolteca are amazing! Very light tasting and crunchy. The guacamole was fresh, a mix of chunky and smooth texture; good stuff, it's from Guacamole King in San Dimas, Ca. All local family owned places ! We love it here. It has a small town feel and customer service is friendly. Parking is available in their private lot and they take credit or cash.
