I use transparent plastic bags, generally making a run after I've filled five of them - the max I can fit in my car at one time. I've always been impressed with how friendly and helpful the guys are (they are all guys in the recycling area) despite their *strictly functional* and amenity-free [*translation: dirty, grungy and often too hot or too cold] work area and the cashier in the little trailer (nearly always female) is extremely pleasant as she slides under the thick glass pane, the cash you've earned for what you've brought in. Aluminum scrap prices (all other metal scrap in general) fluctuates widely so I never know how much I'm going to make, but it's generally enough to pay for my gas and part of my lunch. Besides, I'd rather get the cash myself than give it away to the guys we *pay* monthly for curbside garbage and recycling pickup!

It was a lot of work getting it in my car but the guys there unloaded it all which was pretty great! They were really nice about it, too. If you're from the Hamilton area, Cohen in Hamilton is in the Champion Mill on the East Side by the Black Street Bridge. You enter right by the bridge. I drove by the entrance. Don't be like me. Turn by the bridge. There's a big Cohen sign. It turns out there are Cohen Recycling places in tons of cities. It's really useful to know where it's safe to take your old computers, TVs and cell phones. ((There's a complete list of what they do and don't take on their website.) You can drop off computers and televisions at no-charge if you're a Butler County resident! (Or maybe your county has a similar program.) Round bottomed girls (and guys) you make the rocking world go round!…read more Seriously though, saving the environment is a pretty cool thing. Round Bottom is one of those companies that make recycling not only possible, but also easy and sometimes worth it. This facility will take almost anything, aluminum, steel, copper, brass, vehicles, computers, cells phones, you name it they probably take it. And, not only do they accept your recycled goods, but they will pay you for them as well. That sounds like a good deal if you ask me! Side note, when going into this facility don't stop at the little trailer near the entrance. Instead head around the trailer, back behind the big warehouse and to the small shed on the side. Recycling is weighed (and paid!) in the shed.

Clermont County, OH, residents can take their materials to Round Bottom Recycling for easy, convenient recycling services. Located in Milford, the company pays cash for your materials. Since 2006, the recycling center has offered fair market prices on metal recycling for individuals, contractors, and industrial businesses. Simply bring your scrap metal to their location, sort your load to be weighed, and receive cash on your way out. Their staff is friendly and will always be on hand to assist you in identifying and sorting your materials. While they typically buy the ABC'S of metals (aluminum, brass, copper, and steel), they also purchase vehicles, computer scrap, and cellphones as well. Drive or tow your vehicle to their location or, if needed, call Round Bottom Recycling, and they'll arrange a tow service for you to have your vehicle picked up. The company has invested in certified, quality equipment for the accurate weighing of metals. With their truck scale located at the entrance of the facility customers can conveniently have their items weighed. Or, with a portable X-ray machine, have specialty metals such as carbide and titanium identified.
