Thanks Yelp for guiding me here. Campus Cafe is a local gem, a real treasure find for breakfast. Clearly it is well loved by the locals and fills up quickly with people wanting a great meal. Bacon, eggs, hashbrowns were cooked to order and perfectly satisfying. Our server was prompt, friendly and clearly knew people and how to do her job. Fresh brewed coffee was delicious. No improvements needed. ...and what's more the prices seemed surprisingly low -- or maybe I should say a really good value. Good food, in a welcoming place with sports memorabilia of the local sports team, it is clear the Campus Cafe serves it community in more ways than just good food.

    Great old school signage.

Spent a week in Alamosa and this was hands down the best restaurant. The place is small and hidden away but it was packed everytime we went. Food was ridiculously inexpensive. They don't seat you, so be prepared to sit with strangers and make new friends. Our party had chile and eggs, biscuits and gravy (Half order) and crepes. We split the sweet roll. The sweet roll is a must have, but is fairly hidden on the menu. It was too large even for our group of 3 to finish. Wish the hours were longer as we would have had more meals here.

Fast service. Yummy filling food. The restaurant is very small but does not stop it from being packed! The small staff is amazing at getting out food from the small kitchen and making it all delicious! All items on the menu are ranging from $2-$7.

20 years ago Campus Cafe served the best plate of biscuits and gravy in the nation. Mentioned in a book even. Now they are standard IHOP, Denny's, Village Inn ick. Unimpressed all around with the whole meal from the rubbery side of bacon to the buttery centric cinnamon roll to the French toast. However I like supporting local businesses. It has been a standard in town for years and provided food to college students galore. They support the college and high school sports. Glad they are still in business. Try it. You'll be glad you did.

The best breakfast spot in town and in my top 2 restaurants in town as well. You may have to wait a bit for a table if you come during a peak time, but it's truly worth it. There are a mix of all types of town folks here, from young to old and everyone is friendly. Service is actually fairly quick for as many people as they serve on a daily basis. There are so many homemade items on the menu, it's like eating from home, but better since you don't do any of the work preparing it. Must orders: cinnamon roll, breakfast burrito, anything with green chile on top (hashbrowns?)

Very tasty, it could have been hotter. It's always disappointing to get a meal and it is just warm. Wait staff was very good.

Food was very good, generous, well priced, but unfortunately, the new hire didn't quite have it together yet. She was unfortunately all on her own for portion of our time there. And was very slow in responding. However, her happy demeanor, smile and apologies. Definitely made up for it. I'm sure what time her expertise will improve. BTW, fred, Cook needs to work on his onion rings, skill, they came out in one big clump.

The restaurant looks like a diner from the outside, but is fairly non-descript on the onside - ie. not very diner-like in appearance. However, I had a VERY tasty burger (ordered 'The Burger') with the standard set-up (lettuce, onion, pickles, tomato) and a side of (get this) sauteed broccolini! I like veggies and was absolutely thrilled to find more side offerings than the usual fried stuff. My burger and side veg were really good! The Hubs ordered one of the mac-n-cheese dishes and didn't seem thrilled with it, but said it was OK. They seemed a bit understaffed, but kept checking in with us to say that they'd be with us shortly. And they were. It wasn't a long wait. Maybe I should note that we were here mid-week around 1 PM or so. They didn't seem too busy, but this looks like it might be a small operation. Service was friendly and the restaurant was clean (including the restroom). I'd stop here again if I'm ever in the area.

The portion was generous and we took leftovers home for supper! The flavors blended well and had that comforting home cooked flavor. We both loved the green chili and found the beans above average, reminding us of the homemade, all day + simmered, beans off of a wood-fired stove in the alps when we lived in europe. Yes, they were good. The atmosphere was hole in the wall cafe, where all the best food is found. I did enjoy the mural on the wall, the on going local conversation, and the familiarity between staff and customers. In the midst of that, we felt welcome. I forgot to get pictures of the menu. Prices were quite a bit higher than shown previously. However the portions and value were good and we didn't know until leaving that the price included the tip. I'm not sure if that was the case for previous menus. Stop in and enjoy! Glad to give them my recommendation.

When we arrived, however, the aroma of a barbecue restaurant across the street convinced us to eat there instead, so we stopped in here for drinks only. I ordered a flight of six craft beverages , and all were above average. My favorite was the blackberry cider, which stood out for its excellent flavor and balance. I also appreciated that the beers were locally crafted and that the brewery offered a seasonal selection of specialty brews. We arrived right when they opened at 11:00 a.m., so the atmosphere was quiet and uncrowded. While the service was adequate, it lacked enthusiasm and did not leave a lasting impression. On a positive note, both the taproom and restrooms were clean and well maintained. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and would recommend this brewery as a pleasant stop for a locally crafted drink. Fun fact: Alamosa, located in Colorado's San Luis Valley, is known for experiencing some of the coldest nighttime temperatures in the state due to it's location in the valley and unique geography.

We got the pretzel as an appetizer.... The pretzel was greasy and so was the cheese they gave with it. The cheese seemed frozen, then microwaved. It had a really dull/greasy taste and odd texture. The French dip was like rubber. And the au jus sauce was bland. For her the best part was the side salad. She even said her beer had an odd taste to it. My chicken sandwich had no flavor. The red potatoes where severly over cooked on the outside and under cooked on the inside. My drink (the house black cherry cream soda), was really good the first glass! Second glass was flat and very syrupy. The server briefly came by a couple times. He would quickly ask "everything ok?", as he rushed by. He wasn't horrible, but he wasn't great either. Overall we where very unimpressed. Not somewhere we'll be returning to. For the price, I had better expectations.

I found the coffee to be decent and the sandwiches themselves were okay in terms of flavor, but the prices felt rather high for what we actually received. My main disappointment came after half a day of strenuous activities in the park when we finally opened the packaging to find teeny sandwiches with really small portion sizes. Even after eating them, we were still quite hungry, which was frustrating since we needed a filling meal to keep our energy up. While the quality of the food and drinks wasn't bad, the combination of high prices and tiny portions just didn't deliver the value we needed for a park day.

Grabbed a Matcha and London Fog - not the best we've ever had, but still tasty and a good start to the morning. Also had nice breakfast options. Comfy seating options.
