Spend hundreds in gas each time bringing it back, and lose the summer while it's parked in their lot waiting on parts. I've lost tens of thousands from their incompetence. We almost lost our lives with a motorhome full of gas fumes. Now a travel trailer sold in May was full of holes in roof, from rotting 1.5 years on their lot. They were too busy to even take a pic of roof as they spend all their time selling campers, not fixing or properly inspecting them. Anything bought from them requires an inspector BEFORE sighing. Within a month of buying, an Inspector found excess water damage on roof and floor. 2 other RV inspectors said the unit is totaled. Better to spend $900 on inspection instead of losing $60,000 after trusting these !@#$?!

It took us almost 2 years after purchasing to even get our RV looked at. We purchased at the end of season 2023. We noticed immediately the first time we drove it that the siding was flopping on one side. We called. They told us no problem. It's covered under your warranty when you bring it in we'll fix it. The following season, we noticed that the rubber seal around the slide was ripped. We contacted them again and advised of this issue. Again we were told don't worry it's under your warranty when you bring it in. Keep in mind that every time we try to call and advise of these issues it takes us several weeks to get a hold of anybody! So we just brought the RV in last month finally! They emailed us to advise that the slide was not installed correctly. It's installed too much to the right therefore it's rubbing on the rubber seal. They said it's not covered under warranty!? then they said that they checked the siding and that it appears that from the manufacturer it's missing staples in siding. However, in order for them to fix that they have to take apart some of the siding. This also apparently is not covered under warranty!? So how do I end up paying almost $80,000 for a Jayco trailer that has nothing covered under said warranty? Oh and this would be the part about how their financing is an absolute SCAM!! Also, why would you keep telling me every time I called that these issues will be covered under my warranty and then I bring it in and you charge me $400 for the service call only to tell me that nothing is covered under my warranty?? DID I INSTALL THE SIDING? NO! DID I INSTALL THE SLIDE? NO! SO HOW THE HELL IS IT NOT COVERED BY THE MANUFACTURER??? My advice is STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS!!

We bought a camper here in 2019. They also talked us in to an extended warranty (my mistake - I fell for it). It was a nice little camper, but we barely used it (3 or 4 times a year at most) so we decided to sell it this year. I thought I would bring it in to Leisure Days Smiths Falls for a once over to make sure everything was working before putting it up for sale. We dropped it off the Wednesday before a long weekend and requested the basic maintenance package. They asked if we needed the camper back right away and I said no, we weren't using it the long weekend so the following week would be fine. Two weeks later, after I reached out to the service department several times, they told me I could come pick it up. Great! So I called ahead to pay over the phone so my husband could just pick it up on his way home. It was more expensive than originally quoted because they had to fix a few things. Fair enough. I asked them to itemize it, and then I asked why - if extra work needed to be done - no one called me to let me know. Or why they didn't at least mention it when they said the camper was ready to be picked up. Crickets on the other end of the phone. Then, after some back and forth, I said, ok, I would pay over the phone and my husband would come pick it up. Then they said, oh tell your husband to come see me, there is something with the axle or a spring in the wheel bearings I need to show him. What is the issue, I asked? Is it the axle or the wheel bearing? The answer was, oh I don't know exactly. I said, excuse me?? There is an issue you want to show my husband but can't tell me what it is? I was baffled. The I asked if it would be covered by the extended warranty. They said they would check. A few more days go by. I called and was told they were looking into it and would let me know as soon as they heard anything. Finally, my husband stopped by and they said oh yeah, it won't be covered by the warranty (again, they had an answer but didn't think to call and tell us). So we will be taking the camper to a proper shop to see what the actual problem is and to get the work done by competent mechanics. Now, my issue isn't with the warranty coverage (although, frankly, I wouldn't buy another one), it's with Leisure Days Smiths Falls and, in particular, the service department. They displayed a baffling lack of knowledge, some of the worst communication I have ever seen from a business, and terrible customer service. Overall, a completely awful experience. On a hilarious side note: as I was typing this review, Leisure Days Smiths Falls just called me to ask me if I knew they had a sale on and if I wanted to buy another camper. I said no thanks. I would never be buying anything from Leisure Days Smiths Falls again.

When I called to address the issues I was met with hostility from the salesperson (Pete) I bought the trailer from and the finance guy (Dan) also got hostile with me on the phone. If it wasn't for the service department I likely wouldn't have made the purchase. This is a small town and this has been the worse customer experience I've had dealing with any company. When I arrived, he came out with his multimeter and went through his diagnostic steps. When all that passed, he tried something I was unaware of - pressing and holding the on/off button for 5-10 seconds. Problem solved. No charge. Highly recommend for customer service, integrity, professionalism.

In our case, our "black" tank handle, was seized. This is not anything faulty with the RV as this can happen with any rig. Of course, I could have "played with it" tried to repair it myself but, I have always used professional help for any servicing of our various RVs over time. In this case, we placed a call to BGM on Monday, June 8, 2020. They are located in Chesterville, Ontario. Our park model is in a park located near Embrun. A service technician attended to the repairs on June 10, 2020. We were not at the RV when the repairs were done. The work done was impeccable, the service technician attended on the scheduled date and the repairs were properly done. We are truly happy with the repair but, more importantly, with the efficient service offered by this company. Our only option was to call him as he provided a road side service. He arrived on time as promised and on a saturday to boot and went right to work. In about an hour he had the problem diagnosed and was making repairs. He is a down to earth repairman who didn't try to over sell or confuse his customer but rather focused on the problem and had it repaired in a timely manner. Technicians of his caliber and honesty are rare and hard to find but he definitely is knowledgeable and honest when it comes to repairing trailers.
