    Ribeye steak special
    Nick N.

Good food, great service, nice vibe. The octopus was a standout and so were the lamb chops and branzino. The ribeye was overcooked. The waitress was great, attentive and walked us through the whole menu. The chorizo flambé was fun and so were the pitchers of sangria!

Always a go to place. The sangria is outstanding as always they never miss with this drink. Love my Picanha steak it's so juicy and tender and perfectly seasoned.

Campino is a hidden gem. Driving into the neighborhood we weren't sure if we were going the right way. However the homes and warehouses opened up to a parking lot and lit up restaurant. The service was excellent and friendly. We ordered 2 plates of calamari for our party of 8 and the waitress came back to tell us that it might be too much and recommended just 1 - never had that happen before! She was right though. Every dish was rich in flavor and well crafted. The calamari and octopus was tender lightly battered. A few of us had fish and it wasn't dry or overcooked just properly prepared and flavorful. It's definitely a place I'd go to again. It was lively and some may think it's a little noisy, but a great place for a group.

Came here to eat with party of 8 . Reservations needed. Outside patio was perfect because it was covered and it happened to rain that evening. Staff was friendly Red sangria was good Garlic shrimp appetizer was my favorite and dipping the yummy table bread in it was the cherry on top Octopus salad was good but octopus needed more flavor. Not my favorite but had a nice presentation. My go to dish when I check out a new place that is Spaniard it Portuguese is trying the mariscada. You can opt for green or red sauce. I got the red sauce. It was ok. Needed more flavor for my liking. My mom got the red snapper in Franzese sauce which was fantastic! Two people got the picadillo which I generally love when you order from the local Portuguese BBQ places but here- it wasn't flavorful and the meat cubes were too large. Another got the lobster and filet mignon and he loved it . Dessert. I tried the "Coppa 3 chocolates" and it was yummy! If you like hazelnut then get this. Other people had the lava cake and guava mango flute and they loved them also. I would come back to have the garlic shrimp and try another dish.

    - so the occasion- dads birthday!! !! This is how we made our way to CAMPINO- and he found it by way of his boss!! On a very drunk night!! The minute you enter this restaurant you're greeted by gorgeous vaulted ceilings- and you'll find the architecture almost as exquisite as it's menu!! This was on a Wednesday afternoon and it was still a bit busy - but empty enough to have a nice dinner - drinks and dessert without having to look at your watch. We order shrimp in sauce - - TWICE!! Dipping into the sauce with buttered roll- - como para chuparse los dedos!! - and we all did!! - all while enjoying a pitcher of sangria - !! Our entrees- BIFE A PORTUGUESA- FILE DE ROBALO CHILENO - POLVO LAGAREIRO - - needless to say- absolutely- scrumptious!! Fresh- a delight to bite into!! Generous servings and well put together - but don't take my word for it- you must try for yourself!! For dessert- cappuccino, tiramisu- all good - well made- hitting the right amount of sweet needed!! !! Hope the pic do this experience justice - but gods or it for yourself!! - YOU WILL AGREE!! Buen provecho !!! Oooo almost forgot - live seafood - one of my favorite parts!! Campino TrioChilean Sea BassGrilled OctopusMarinated OlivesCubana

Have not been here in few years. Service still good and warm atmosphere. Enjoyed my seafood paella. Ate well and leftovers for another meal. Great cappuccino to finish off meal. Was very busy for lunch with a lathe petty of 30 celebrating.

I've come here about 4 times already with family. The food doesn't disappoint and neither does the service. The ambiance is perfect and not too loud if you sitting in the rear dining area as it is very spacious. One of best Portuguese restaurants in Newark that won't dent your wallet too badly.

This review is based on probably their busiest day of the year. Though I would not mention the wait we had to endure for our food, service, drinks, or water. I will give this place another chance on another day. Just due to the fact that the food was pretty decent. However on the busiest day of the year the service was absolutely crazy. Our waitress was overwork we found a metal item in our food and we had to return the paella. It was a crazy crazy night. so much so a couple next to us walked out after sitting down and waiting for their drinks for more than 20 minutes. The sangria was strong and tasty and that was always a plus. I had the campino trio which consists of a filet mignon, shrimp, and chicken with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Besides the fact that my steak came out well done and I asked for medium everything else was quite tasty. The paella before the discovery of the metal object was decent however the rice was still undercooked. Nothing ruins a paella like under cook rice. they followed covid-19 protocols as all staff were wearing mask and tables were separated by at least 6 ft. Again, I will try this place on another day at another time but just never again on the busiest night of restaurant business.

I have brought numerous Newark area customers here for business lunches. This is by far one of my favorite places in Newark. The grilled octopus is amazing. Our usual bites are the garlic shrimp app, the flaming sausage app, whole red snapper, sirloin steak with over easy egg, any meal with octopus. The service is amazing and friendly. Sangria is good as well. Be prepared to leave stuffed. Pricey but worth it.

We used the valet service, and upon walking inside, I noticed an older gentleman playing the piano in the foyer, which gave the place a really nice atmosphere. Even though the restaurant was busy, our wait was only about 5-10 minutes. While waiting, I couldn't help but notice how large the restaurant is. There are two bars and several separate dining areas that looked perfect for larger parties and special occasions. Once seated, we were served fresh bread while looking over the menu. I ordered the 32-ounce prime rib with A1 sauce, red peppers, and roasted potatoes. I also had the chance to try some of the sea bass. Both dishes were excellent. The prime rib was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, while the sea bass was fresh and well-prepared. A special shoutout to our waiter, Milan, who was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was taken care of throughout our meal. Overall, it was a fantastic brunch experience, and I will absolutely be back in the near future.

Our group ordered the Seafood Paella and had plenty for leftovers, stuffed sole, branzino, grilled octopus, salad and numerous drinks including their sangria. The stuffed Sole was well sized and filled properly with shrimp, scallops and more. Highly recommend and it was cooked perfectly. The mash potatoes were a miss that came with it not seasoned and bland. The branzino was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. The grilled octopus was a little chewy which was disappointing but it was packed with flavor and would try again. IYKYK The food was spectacular and the service could not be beat. Marisqueira is a Portuguese term that translates to a seafood restaurant or shellfish bar, and this place certainly lives up to its name. If you can't make it to Portugal but are craving some traditional seafood in a relaxed, casual, authentic setting, this is your place. Plus, they have a free parking lot across the street from the restaurant.

We were a party of eight and ordered a ton of food and drinks. My in-laws both ordered mariscada-type dishes. One had lobster, which they loved. One had different types of fish and shellfish; the majority of shellfish didn't open properly (barely a crack), and the fish had an odd taste. The server said it was skate and it had a "special" taste. Anyway, my in-laws didn't care for the whole dish, and it cost about $50. They've lived in the Ironbound 60ish years and know good mariscada from bad. Bacalhau, salmon, steak, octopus, and cockles all were delicious. Then we ordered dessert - one of which was espresso crème brûlée. When we asked the server why it didn't have the traditional burnt sugar top, he said they don't do it that way. (Then don't call it crème brûlée! Call it pudding or something else.) Such attitude. And beware - they add the tip *after* adding in NJ sales tax. We can get good food at many other Newark restaurants. Even though most of the food was great, we left with a bad taste in our mouths (pun intended) and probably won't return.

They had a wide variety of food, all ranging from beef, pork, chicken, seafood, and some vegetarian options. They had an extensive wine menu, and my boyfriend joyfully enjoyed a glass of wine. I got the brazilian fried chicken, which was extremely flavorful, and i was surprised there wasn't any breading on the chicken as typical fried chicken does. I much preferred the no-breading style, which I think is the Brazilian way. I would have preferred a boneless dish, as there were quite a few pieces with bones, and it was pretty oily at the bottom of the dish. It came with two very large sides, and totaled around $25. 100% would recommend this dish, but I do think at a lower price point, this could make do with just one side, instead of two, as the main dish was quite large enough to fill me up. My favorite part of this meal was the garlic butter bread that they provide for free. It comes out extremely fresh with lots of chopped up garlic, which is my favorite part of garlic bread. It was a great way to start the dinner off. The service was great and the waiters were extremely attentive. They regularly checked up on how we felt about the food and filled up our drinks. The restaurant was pretty empty while we were dining, but the space was laid out very nicely and the decor was beautiful. Would come again if it wasn't so far!
