It says five stars is as good as it gets and I am giving this review because Camping World has gone above and beyond and saved my first RV trip. I worked with Cayla in sales to purchase the RV and immediately left there to purchased a new car that would tow my RV. I called Cayla from the car dealership and she specifically asked the car salesman if the car was at least wired for the brake package and the car salesman ensured her it was. Well when I went to pick up my camper and have the brake package installed on my car, Eric (Service Manager at Camping World) said they they could not allow me to take the camper that day because the new car was not wired properly and did not have the running lights necessary for the brake lights to work on the RV. Cayla and Eric worked closely together during this time, I am sure they felt sorry for me. It was a Friday, Camping World was busy but yet both of them went to bat for me to see how they could help. Eric brought out his brake machine and hooked it up to his personal truck to actually show us what we needed to see when it was hooked up properly. Then using the same machine he hooked it up to my car and explained what was missing. By this time I had already made two trips back to the car dealership who just kept saying the car was fine and that Camping World had hooked something up wrong and that was why it did not work. I literally was in tears knowing I was going to miss out on my first camping trip and the stress caused by the car dealership and going back and forth. Cayla and Eric both spoke to my car salesman and Eric allowed us to bring his brake machine to the car dealership for yet a third trip to the car dealership. Lo and behold when the car dealership hooked up Eric's machine the car dealership said, "Oh, you don't have any running lights." Well dud, it took three trips there and Cayla and Erics help for the car dealership to admit they screwed up. Come to find out the car was missing some pin and the running lights were never working. If Cayla and Eric did not help I am convinced I would still be going back and forth with the car dealership but instead thanks to Cayla and Eric I had my first RV camping trip. I brought a 26 foot RV but am already thinking it is too small and you can bet I will be going back to Cayla and Eric at Camping World for my next purchase. I wanted to take the time to write and let you know what an exemplary experience we had having our warranty work done on our RV at this facility. We had a list as long as our arm of things that were broken. We did not purchase our RV in GA, and we have since realized that that can be a difficulty when needing work done because of the "customers who bought it here" hierarchy and getting in the cue. That is one one the reasons I am writing. We were never made to feel that way at Camping World. Our RV was brought right in, parts were ordered right away, and it was worked on in a timely manner. We ended up having other things come up that we needed to bring it back a couple more times for, but it was always easy, and we were never left hanging. Everything got fixed, and quickly. Part of what made the whole thing so easy was your employee Kerry in service. I cannot say enough about how great she was to work with. I would be totally remiss after our really positive experience there to not give her the highest accolades. She really was wonderful, and I hope you pay her what she deserves!! :) She was easy to reach and talk to, always got right back to us, and stayed on top of our seriously long list of things that needed fixing. (Pretty crazy for a brand new unit, but that's another whole other topic which I won't go into here! We have a Sunseeker 3170 and the amount of things that were not functioning, major things, was extremely frustrating) Thank you, all in the service department, for making our big investment "camping worthy" for us. We are excited for the summer, now that we actually have AC, and slides and a refrigerator and stove that work! read more

I felt it necessary to comment about the absolutely tremendous service I received today at the Pooler Camping World. My wife and I have been traveling from the Seattle Washington area in our RV and finding ourselves desperately needing an oil change. Then I noticed the Camping World sign and swung in to see what kind of availability they may have. The first person I met was a Sales Associate named Mustafa Cunningham. He said, "well lets go inside and see what we can make happen". He introduced me to one of their Service Writers named Jenna Heck. After looking over her very full schedule it appeared that my hopes of an oil change today were being dashed. With a bit more friendly prodding by Mustafa and myself Jenna went back into the service department to talk to her Techs and low and behold they squeezed me in. I was thrilled then amazed when I realized they were going to have to preform the oil change and lube job on the street in front of the store because their service department was full. I mean it's like 93 degrees outside with unbelievable humidity and a Service Tech named Ben is out there on the hot pavement under a hot engine on his back changing the oil. I would tell and urge everyone to go to Camping World in Pooler Ga. These people are tremendous!! Working with Mustafa was like working with a life long friend and Jenna is someone who would, and did, go completely out of her way to take care of my need. I want to thank and give credit to Alexis and the service technicians at the Savannah Camping World. We purchased a new Camper from Camping World in Valdasta, had a good experience there but we found a wiring issue with the front left running light and the pigtail to the rear camera mount was not working so it would not power on. We took it to Camping World of Savannah for the warranty work on these issues because it's about an hour closer than the Valdosta location. I contacted Alexis and scheduled an appointment to get the camper serviced. She was very nice and did everything she could to make sure the techs understood the issues and that the warranty with the manufacturer was handled properly so we didn't have a charge. She even followed up with Valdasta to make this warranty service go smoothly. I also want to thank the two service technicians that fixed the issues. They were very helpful and even found a separate issue my truck wiring had that I would not have known about. I would say they did the best they could to provide the proper warranty service needed for our new camper and fixed everything like it should have been from the start. I would like to take the time to express our appreciation of Camping World for our recent purchase of motor home. The staff there was very professional and helpful in getting our motor home financed. Zach was our salesman and was very courteous. He noticed right away that I was wearing hearing aids and told me he wears them too. To me that sounded encouraging, from the start of our experience. A lot of businesses shy away form hiring people with disabilities and especially hard of hearing people. I surely felt at home after learning this. Zach was extremely helpful. He listened to what I needed and the different things I need in order to purchase and answered it all with excitement and a smile. Zach was not pushy and was very understanding that with my hearing we needed to be inside a quiet place. In my opinion the world needs more salesman like Zach. He helped make our Camping World experience fun and enjoyable. My reason for saying this is because he cared about us as customers and not about the register ringing with money. I encourage everyone to buy a camper from Zach and I also encourage Camping World to hire more people like him. read more

We were camping in Florida while attending Daytona Bike Week, and we were having trouble with our batteries not charging. For some reason, the batteries were running out of power and they wouldn't charge. We had a hard time retracting our slide out on our 2021 Outback due to no power while away from a shoreline. We stopped at the first Camping World we could find on our way home and met Chris Stubbs in service. He came out to our rig and was extremely helpful in diagnosing several problems and giving us guidance and suggestions as to how to correct the problems. He didn't charge us anything for his help and guidance. I thought he was awfully kind and he went what I would say was above and beyond the call of duty to help us so we could get home and correct the problem. He even gave me his cell number to contact him if we had more questions or needed help on the way home. Chris also followed up to see if the suggestions he made had helped us correct the issues. This man clearly cared about us and gave us exceptional help. We appreciate him so much and he gives Camping World of Savannah a great reputation for service. read more

My husband and I went to camping world in Savannah GA for supplies. After purching we decided to look at possibly upgrading our camper. A very nice gentleman walked up to us and introduced himself. We instantly took a liking to this very special man. We told him what we wanted to do in the near future and knowing that we were not ready to buy he still took his time and showed us different RVs that would have been perfect for us. We left there after three and a half hours later with one out of two that we wanted to purchase. To make a long story short we were unable to buy that RV, but not for out salesman lack of trying. He went in our opinion way beyond the call of duty. We had the best experience with him. My husband and I would like to publicly thank Steve Banks the salesman for Camping World Savannah. When it is time for us to trade in out RV we currently have we will go back to Steve. We will not go anywhere else. We just purchased a 2021 Arctic Wolf and traded in our 2020 Mallard 33 which we purchased from Camping World last March. We had a great experience. Many thanks to our salesman, Jeremy Knabb. He worked diligently to make sure our camper was perfect. He even decorated the camper with balloons and a banner for my birthday. He was so helpful and available every time we called. Jonathan was our finance person, and helped us to get a down payment that we could afford. Kelley helped us to fix a few little things with perfection. He was very knowledgeable. Linda helped me in the store to find the correct accessories, and she was so patience as I returned things that were not right for our camper. There were times in the last year that we were frustrated with the service department but part of the problem was getting parts in during this crazy time of Covid. My husband has found a lady in the service department name Tori who has been so helpful and very good to follow up on any issues that we have had. BARBARA LE BARGE ROCKS!!! I did not want to go to Camping World because of their customer service. I called their 800 number before the store opened and someone answered the phone who was not in maintenance. They took my name and number so someone from maintenance could call me back when the high volume of calls decreased but of course no one called. I had previously read the Yelp reviews and found that Barbara Le Barge was the one person at Camping World who would actually help with maintenance problems. I called camping world and the Lord was with me and she answered the phone. I immediately hooked up my RV and went to camping world. She came out and diagnosed my problem and then got Kyle to fix the problem. Kyle is a very helpful, nice and knowledgeable tech, and he fixed my problem within 5 minutes. So, if you have a maintenance problem makes sure you get Barbara Le Barge to diagnosed your problem and request Kyle to fix the problem and you will not have to deal with camping world's employees and their customer service. read more

We purchased Trico RV windshield wipers for our RV in a Camping World in Virginia and tried for an hour to install them. We could never figure out how they worked. We were on our way home to Florida and decided to return them. We found a Camping World in Savannah that was along our route and decided to stop there. Lucky for us. We walked in and asked for a refund or if someone could please help us install them correctly. A very nice associate, Travis Miller helped us. He tried for about 30 minutes and could not quite figure it out either. He had never installed wipers on an RV before but he kept on trying, until finally we heard a click and it was on and secured. We asked him how he did it and he said he did not know for sure. We asked if he could do it again on the other wiper and he did and it worked. Oh my God what a relief. We had an excellent experience with the service dept @ the savannah store. The service manager, Mike Malyska, took over our problems and turned what was headed toward a terrible situation and turned it around to make it a pleasant experience. We had purchased our 2009 Winnebago from the CW of Charlotte, N.C. It didn't take us long to figure out they had not serviced the unit at all before putting it on the lot for sale. Once we arrived back home to Savannah and took the unit in to try and get some of the issues taken care of Mike took over. It was discovered the ac unit was not repairable. After working with the Charlotte store he was able to get them to take care of all expenses replacing the unit. He has continued to help us out anytime we had questions. We will always take our unit back to the savannah/pooler store for service and necessary repairs. Just can't say enough good things about the employees from the store manager on down the line. read more

On the 13th of January 2017 my wife and I stopped at the Camping World in Pooler, GA because I had some concerns about our new 2016 Forest River Flagstaff Super Lite Diamond Series 5th wheel. Barbara LaBarge was the service person that I talked with and through her knowledge/experience I left there feeling reassured that everything was going to be okay. Barbara spent extra time explaining things and how they worked. My primary concerns were refrigeration and the carbon monoxide/low voltage detector. She also took the time to help me locate items I needed for our RV resulting in sales totaling $458.69. I can not express the comfort I felt after my experience with Barbara LaBarge as to her knowledge, experience, and overall attitude. We've been on the road for 2months with a brand new winnebago Vista. We've had a couple of annoying issues that we needed a 5 minute "look". Along the way we called numerous camping world's and winnebago dealers. We always got the same response "we are at least two weeks out" and they wouldn't even take five minutes to look at what we knew had to be a simple problem. However, we were having a "roadmaster" brake issue. We called the Camping World" in Pooler, Ga. The gentleman I spoke to said absolutely we'll take a look at it. We pulled in and within minutes the technician was looking at the problem and within the hour thought it was fixed. We took off and the problem continued. We turned around and went back. The crew immediately got ahold of tech support. This camping world is the first one other than where we bought the couch to have any kind of customer service. Great job! read more

So I finally got my camper back on January 30th with the new counter top and base installed. This is the fourth counter top but it appears to be in good shape. There is still a crack on one corner of the base and scratches that appear to have been caused during installation. At this point, I am going to just accept it as-is. At least the counter is in one piece and I can use my camper again. During the last visit to Camping World the young lady in the service department was very friendly and helpful (didn't get her name, long brown hair, always smiling) and Keri Denison stayed in contact and updated me on the progress of the counter and remote control replacement. It would appear they are working on their customer service skills and maybe making a change for the better. I upgraded my score to A-OK/three stars and hopefully improvements will continue in the service department. read more

Our furnace went out on our RV, the motor wasn't working so I called and spoke with Robert in the parts department, gave him the parts number and he said he would call me back. He did in a very short time and said he didn't have the part in stock but could order it and it would be in a couple of days. About an hour or so later he calls me back to tell me they were doing an inventory of parts that had been stored and he found one that wasn't on their inventory list. When I went to pick it up, from the moment I walked into the store, every single staff member said hello and asked if I needed help. Robert gave me his card and said if I ever needed anything, just to give a call. It was a great experience, one of the best CW I've been to and we travel up and down the east coast so I have been to a few. Thanks, Pooler, GA CW! read more

My husband & I needed water for our camper and found the Pooler Georgia Camping world. Upon beginning to fill our tank, we had a leak. Come to find out the water filter had frozen and caused a big leak. Alexis got a wet vac and begam cleaning out our storage area, Ashley went to get a new filter (found out we didn't have a universal one) and Jeremy and Ashley worked together to put a jump hose to rig together to get us water in the meantime and get us back on the road. Every employee was so helped, fun to work with and really made our experience a good one. Without them, we would have been stuck. We are so thankful and pleased to see that there are still good companies and employees out there on the road. We have sent them a cookie platter from Cheryls to thank them. We had spent a week searching for the perfect travel trailer for our family. We went to other Camping world stores and others in the industry and we could not seem to find exactly what we were looking for . No one seemed to want to help. I phoned Collins Lane at Camping World Savannah, and explained to him what we were looking for . He called me back in the morning, and had the exact thing! He asked when I would like to pick it up! By 3pm we were going through the prep and tour by the technician to learn how to operate our brand new Forest River Hemisphere! Then, straight to the office to make payment, received 3 years as elite Good Sams members , as well as a special gift! We never had to wait or look for anyone to help! I want to thank my Salesman Steve Banks for helping me acquire my new (to me) RV. He was knowledgeable and patient and helped me every step of the way, even through the few hiccups with my bank, to ensure I got exactly what I was looking for (he even called me after I got home to see how it went, I was so nervous driving it at first LOL). I drove 2 hours to get my RV and it was well worth it. The day I picked her up the Finance Manager Christina was so pleasant and had everything ready to go! The service department went over my RV and made sure everything it was all up and running and gave me a thorough walk through and answered questions I had not even thought of. Ok so, after driving to 5 other camping world dealers. Watching how there sales people try to prey on folks. Trying to add more on to the deal. I didnt think we would ever find us a upgrade than what we have allready. We came in on sunday meet with Stephanie Debaggis there sales associate. We knew what we came in for. They had a used A Frame pop up that we wanted to see. We told our story what we had gone though with the other dealers. She went above an beyond to make the deal go though. I was happy with the they the treated us. Had a hickup with brake controller install but they are going to make that right for us. The other bad reviews I don't know why. There a busy dealer. First come first serve. Just like anywhere else. You guys got my business. read more
