Absolutely terrible experience with Campers World. The customer service after the sale has been a complete nightmare. Once they have your money, don't expect them to stand behind their promises. I repeatedly called trying to get updates on my camper and was ignored time after time. When I was finally able to get someone to respond, I was met with excuses instead of solutions. Warranty issues that should have been addressed were denied or brushed aside, leaving me to deal with problems that should have been covered. My sales representative, Hannah, was attentive while making the sale, but once the paperwork was signed, getting help became nearly impossible. The level of communication and follow-through was incredibly disappointing. A warranty is only as good as the company willing to honor it, and based on my experience, Campers World failed to do that. If you're considering buying from them, be aware that the support you receive after the purchase may be very different from the promises made during the sale. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a company that values its customers or stands behind its products. read more

This place is a nightmare. The sales staff will tell you anything to get the sale. Their website details of the camper are not even close to being accurate. The finance department will try a push a high interest loan. The "special insurance" number they want you to call, is a scam to get all your auto insurance. I've had to order parts on multiple occasions and get support from the parts and service team. Each time they've been very supportive and helpful. The RV biz is tough and this site gets high volume, I can see why there's many complaints.. but at peak season and for the unique issues of RV's, this stuff isn't cheap and it's not as easy as a drive through oil change. read more

This worse service I've ever had, took my RV in for some warranty Work main cut off switch , dropped it off on Nov 29 they told me it will be done by the 17 of Dec. Then told me will be done the week of Christmas, then they said Jan 5 I called them a week after the the 5th to find out the part was in but just wasn't fix. I had my late father's toy hauler brought in here after I was sold on a platinum maintenance package. The total price was a little over 1200 dollars and It was understood that this included basic maintenance of ALL the systems within the trailer. Inside & out. I informed the maintenance manager BEFORE we even talked about the maintenance package that I was having issues with the leveling system, one of the AC units, a bump out that was jamming on the track and a leak in the roof. My goal was to get it completely gone over, (included in the 'platinum' package) have them make any necessary repairs & to sell it. I paid 200 dollars to have them come pick it up. I was informed that the driver had no issues with the leveling system when he picked it up, and it just needed the battery replaced. That was another 200+. Seemed like an easy fix. Next I was told the shroud was cracked on my AC unit and it had to be replaced. (Found out after it was done this wasn't even the AC I had problems with. Same issue with the diagnostics and repair fees on the bump out. Invoice made it clear it was not the correct bump out. I had the seals replaced on those too. Extra money to have the leak diagnosed and repaired- when roof check, and basic maintenance and reseal is supposedly included. They took way longer on repairs than we originally spoke of- which wasn't an issue until I saw the damage that resulted from them improperly storing my trailer. The bill ended up being almost $4500. I had to have them give me a clarified breakdown- and negotiate the MULTIPLE times they essentially double charged me for diagnosing something that had diagnosis and maintenance repair costs included in the Platinum package. It took me MONTHS to get the trailer brought back and I had multiple conversations about wanting to go over repairs done and see them and me being able to make sure what was said was done was actually done. After being reassured multiple times they "guarantee" the repairs they did- I decided to have a little faith. BIG MISTAKE. The trailer was in worse condition when I received it back then when I sent it. It became very clear that they stored my trailer out in the open for an excess amount of time without being covered, knowing it had a leak- before they fixed it or looked at it. The driver drove in- dropped the trailer without leveling it and put the tongue hitch directly on the ground. I had to ask him to hook it back up to put a piece of plastic I found under it. Interestingly enough- the leveling system doesn't work. The battery box, with the NEW battery was filled with water. The mold that resulted from the boxes left on the couches (from it being moved) , it taking on water & having no air circulation and then stored for months completely ruined the faux leather. They smashed a drawer when moving the bump out in or out. There is an entire wood cover to a cabinet missing. Clearly had water damage that occurred AFTER they took it. (I had it stored with air circulation and it was covered) I could go on and on. I've tried to remedy this issue and have had little to no response. DO NOT GO HERE read more

Had a friend of a friend who worked there. My sales rep and my financing manager were stellar. Love the camper. Good price. Took it 4 times. AC didnt work 3 of the 4. I know it is not thier responsibility as they don't manufacture. But let me just say they are less then helpful. Camping in a metal box in June and early July with no AC sucks in the Carolinas. When I call they are surprised I am mad. I just want the AC to work on my $40,000 camper. Its not their fault it doesn't work. However, it is their fault that they show no interest in obtaining a final resolution. Once you leave that lot I cannot say they are quick or feel ANY SENSE OF URGENCY to help. 5 WEEKS. NO FIX. From trash paperwork, complete lies with the finance manger about Good Sam, dirty already trailers somewhere pickup, missing items in the starter kits, and stealing your deposits. They also add in extra fees ie delivery fees. Its already in the price yet they said "they have to add it in" was told i was approved for a loan but in actuality i was never approved by the company they said, i received letters in the mail as a denial. People that work here are friendly and unlike other store where I wasn't taken seriously lost a big sale when I was in the market for an RV but that is another story. Bought some accessories and antifreeze for the water lines and without making any fuzz they allowed me to use the dumping station in the back. The forklift driver is really an expert moving trailers around. Not sure who to talk to about getting Sumo springs installed along with a new sway bar but I didn't have a lot of time to search for the right person, after all the best time for service is coming up in the winter months so I will return and try to get those installed here since the dealer won't do it due to warranty issues. read more

I am not surprised by this businesses' rating. The service department here DOES NOT COMMUNICATE with its clients. We dropped our camper off to have repairs done and didn't get it back until almost two months later because of employee transitions (I get it, COVID). But thank goodness this wasn't our primary residence! Then when we were about to get it back, I had asked to have it detailed inside and outside, which I paid over $600 for and the inside wasn't even touched. While Kaylee did an excellent job getting our camper expedited for repairs, and we were happy with the quality of repair work, she has now decided to ignore my several emails about getting a possible partial refund for the inside not getting cleaned. I wouldn't waste my time or money with this place and their crappy service. I bought a brand new Geo Pro travel trailer from them and the process was a disaster. They had to do the paperwork three times ... they just couldn't seem to get it right. Then they prepped the wrong trailer for delivery. When I finally got my trailer, the guy who was supposed to be doing the orientation knew practically nothing, typical response was "yeah, better read the manual" and we had to go back and do it again with another technician. On top of that, they neglected to put the power cord and other sundries in the trailer, so we had to go back yet again. The worst part was that their prep mechanic forgot to tighten the sway bar attachment piece on the hitch itself and the trailer was all over the place going the few miles home. This could have caused a major accident, but hey, he still works there, so obviously they just don't care. Was looking into selling the trailer as it was used ONCE and is still brand new. They offered my half of what I paid for it and were a week late in getting back to me. Multiple calls and messages went unreturned. Spend your money elsewhere. You will thank me. read more

I bought my camper because I am a COVID nurse, and wanted to live without risking bringing the virus home to any roommates or family members. Have been living in it since December of 2020. I am getting back to nursing next week due to the surge caused by the Delta variant with no place to live. Took a break to try to rest but spent a good portion of my time off dealing with lies and problems caused by CW. This has been absolute worst experience I have ever had with a company. Initially kept my camper for 4 weeks. They were supposed to fix a leaking roof, replace floors and insulation, and replace a defective sink. They only replaced the faucet (but with a non-matching bronze faucet that didn't match the rest of the camper's nickel finish). They claimed to have replaced the floor and insulation though they replaced NONE of it. They refused to fix the roof and wanted to charge me $800. I reached out to Keystone, who informed me that ALL these repairs were approved and under warranty since my camper is less than a year old and that they'd already paid CW for these repairs. Finally got some movement after reaching out to the office of Marcus Lemonis (though they became increasingly slow to respond before ignoring me completely as this process went on and on). I allowed CW to take it back for repairs after being assured it would be completed within a week or so. 3 weeks later, I reclaimed my camper after being told all repairs were complete. The insulation was NOT replaced in the affected area and was still holding water and had grown a large amount of mold. I have already paid $1100 for mold treatment that was a direct result of CW's actions. Now I am finding the mold damage is more extensive than realized. No response from CW branch or Marcus Lemonis. I now have a camper that is absolutely not safe to live in. They even kept my camper key. Please stay away from these people. read more

We bought a camper 8 weeks ago. Nothing has gone right. Our brand new 2020 camper had damaged and missing parts, and the AC was never installed. We had them agree to deliver it to us. The camper was delivered to us a week later, with new damage, the mattress they damaged had not been replaced, and no temporary tags. It did have the AC installed. I've been working with customer service for over a month, and paying on a camper that we can't even use because we don't have tags, and the DMV doesn't have any record of us owning it. Finally this week, they overnighted what they told us were our temporary tags. They didn't even mail it to the correct address. When we finally received what they sent, it was clearly not a legal tag. They won't let me return the camper. They aren't doing anything to help us. I'll start off by saying we loved our saleswoman Jen, she was great. What we didn't like is that almost 2 months later, I still haven't received our $500 deposit back. We've texted and called, spoke to managers, and yet we STILL don't have it. They also gave us a trade offer which was half as much as what RVOne offered us. They also told us that we couldn't tow a 5th wheel with our factory lifted truck, yet we ended up purchasing a 5th wheel from RVOne and it tows flawlessly. The first annoyance was that every single camper is locked!! You have to have a salesman walk around and unlock each unit you want to see. The lot is very unorganized, we had a hard time finding a particular unit, when we finally found it, it was parked so close to another camper that we couldn't open the door to view it and definitely couldn't pull the slides out. When Jen went to the manager to ask if he could use the fork lift to pull it out for us so we could see it, she was blatantly told no and they weren't busy! More units than not have trim lifting up in some way shape or form or are dirty. The final straw was when we hooked a jump box to a camper so that we could see it with lights on, something inside the camper started smoking and she had to quickly disconnect it in fear of it catching fire. The quality of their campers are no where near as nice and priced higher than their closest competition 10 mins away. If you put down a deposit make sure you are going to buy it because getting your deposit back is nearly impossible if you decide to purchase somewhere else!! read more

We recently moved to South Carolina and pulled our travel trailer across the country. We will be living in the camper until we find a house. We stopped at Camping World, despite knowing people from other parts of the country who have had issues with them because we wanted to add another AC unit and we needed a replacement brake module installed. When we stopped in to discuss these things, the salesperson was very helpful. She didn't know what kind of AC unit came standard on our camper so we went back and called her with the number. She order the unit and had the brake module set up to be installed the following Friday, which was perfect because it was a day we were moving anyway to a more permanent campground. Fast forward to the day of installation. We pack up everything we have with us and head to Camping World for a 9 am appointment. We get there and two other people are taken ahead of us, even though we had the appointment already set up. They finally get all of our information into the computer (for the third time) and we head out. The service person, Jennifer, tell us she will call us at noon with an update. I emphasize to her that we will be in our truck, with our dog, trying to find ways to stay cool and occupied. Also, that we need to get the camper set up at our new spot for the evening. At 12:30, we called CW and were told Jennifer was busy and that she would call us back. She calls us back in about 15 minutes and tells us they can't install the AC unit because they don't have a part they need. We apparently have a "Guardian" system which they didn't realize, but which comes standard on 2019 Keystone Cougars. We go to pick up the camper and lo and behold, it is raining AND the camper is not positioned in a way for us to hook it up and guess what? The only person in the whole place who can move campers is at lunch. I counted that on that day, there were over 20 people in the front of the store and no one is cross trained? We were promised that the part would be ordered and that we could again disconnect our trailer and bring it over, but we have never heard from anyone. Don't worry, we found another RV place a few exits away and are currently having a unit installed. In a time when everyone is complaining about being understaffed, this store seemed almost over staffed. Lots of standing around talking and very little knowledge of what anyone else does in the store. We are very disappointed and sad that we attempted to give them a chance and won't be tempted again. I purchased a new 2022 Bullet trailer a week ago. Well, it doesn't look new! It has scratches, dents, a ceiling leak, punctures, one of the storage area doesn't lock, etc. They didn't even bother to clean it up; it has mud and dirty everywhere. To make things worse, they put a dent on my truck when they installed the hitch. I contacted the location and they deny having caused any damage to my truck. Regarding the condition of the EV, they want me to schedule an appointment for repairs. Repairs? Danny it! It's a new camper!!! I responded that I wanted to return it and I didn't get a reply. I called corporate "Marcus," who claims that "if you're not happy, he's not happy." All they did was ask the location to call me, which they never did. All they did was to send me an email. Unfortunately camping world of Charleston was the only local dealer that had the camper we were looking for. Initially I went through two different sales people and neither one of them came up with anything in my criteria so I had to do tons of investigating on my own and found what I wanted. positive note: The negotiation wasn't too painful and we got the deal that we wanted. negative: We've had to take the camper in twice (it's BRAND NEW) for minor issues and fixes and each time it has taken literally weeks to get fixed. Both times we were told that the issue would take a day or two at the most and then after those days were up we heard nothing from them and would call multiple times and even email multiple times and still never heard from anyone until my husband actually went up to the business to inquire. We are going on week two of a simple Wi-Fi fix that they told us would take one day and we do not get updates from service department. After we get our camper back, if we ever get our camper back, we will drive outside of Charleston to a more reputable camper service because we will never get our camper serviced at camping world ever again. read more

We purchased a used camper (2020) from Camping World in North Charleston. On the very first time we took it out, the furnace did not work. I contacted my salesman and informed him of the problem and he said to bring it back and they would take a look at it. We live 2 hours away and closer to a different camping world. We took it to the Camping World in Columbia and they informed us parts would have to be ordered to fix the broken furnace. We contacted North Charleston to see if they would pay for the repairs since it was obviously defective when they sold it to us and they informed us that they would not. If you deal with them, make sure you have them go over EVERYTHING before you take ownership because they will not fix any defective products which is a poor business model.
