One Saturday at the lake, I decided that I wanted to buy a camper, so I looked up a few on CW's website and took screenshots. Sunday after church, we stopped in and met with a salesman who showed us all of the ones I picked out. It happened to be the last Sunday of the month, so the banks and service department were open. A few hours later, we towed home a 21 foot Keystone Hideout with a slide out. We were limited on size and weight due to my boyfriend's Tacoma and my 4 Runner's towing capacity. The size is really perfect for us, and it's so cute and comfortable! After we met with someone else who explained everything from GS campgrounds, warranties, and maintenance, I signed all of the paperwork. Then another guy walked us around and helped us pick out the other things we needed like a sewer hose and tp. They had great deals on things like camping chairs and grills and the prices were really as inexpensive as you can buy anywhere else. I picked out some cutesy decor for ours, and since I knew it would have a hula skirt and fake palm tree, I picked out some plastic pink flamingos and lights to go with it. I really wish I had known then what I know now about the meaning of pink flamingos in a campground. Not judging if that's your thing, but it's not ours. After we finished shopping, they had everything hooked up and ready to go. We did a quick walk thru to learn about my new camper, and they called the next week to make sure we were satisfied and didn't have any questions about it. Camping World made the whole process easy and convenient from the minute we walked in the door. We were very pleased with our experience. Weekends at the lake in the camper will be so enjoyable for us, the dogs, my grandson, and our family and friends. We plan to make even more memories taking it on road trips this fall. Even my mama will be blessed by it because I'm gifting her those pink plastic flamingos for her yard. read more

Went in to get a shower head holder for my trailer. The employee there told me they are ALL interchangeable and I didn't have to worry about getting the wrong one. I meant to bring in the old one so I could show them, but I forgot it when I left my house. Either way, I would've excepted to purchase the correct thing from them, especially when one of their workers are telling me their shower head holders are universal..... as you can see in the picture, these aren't even close to being alike!! I can't even return it because I didn't get the receipt! He was so adamant that this was the right piece when it CLEARLY is FAR from being correct! We recently had them install a water heater in our coach. Totally unsatisfactory experience. Never tested new unit, it wasn't installed properly and as a result leaked water all over inside of unit. Refused to modify to allow door to match custom paint in coach to be installed, but promised at the start they would. VERY poor communication, added numerous undisclosed charges and would not return calls when I wanted to take the coach back to fix errors. We purchased an $80,000 Montana RV and it quickly turned into the worst financial decision we've ever made. Multiple problems with the RV including the AC, leaking slide, leaking kitchen plumbing, leaking bathroom plumbing, and water damage to the floor. We took it in for repairs. 3 weeks later, we took it home and it still wasn't fixed. During the time it was there, I had to call constantly asking for updates. All I heard was "we're short staffed" and "the technician hurt his arm and is out". When we got the RV back, the AC still didn't work. Obviously, no one checked the work that was done. Very low end QA/QC. Also, they managed to break the deadbolt on the front door and I had to drill it out and replace it. This was the worst experience I've had in years. My Rating for CW is NEGATIVE 5 We purchased a $25,000 RV from Camping World in Olive Branch Mississippi, 1.5 years later we had a dry rotted tire that caused over $10,000 damage to our RV going down the interstate. After 6 months to repair it at their facility, this is how it was returned back to us. The main inlet water hose was never installed back to the the RV. It was completely missing. No hose to the water tanks. We had water going everywhere!!! All down the side of the RV and water sprayed all inside the RV. All on the fuse panel, cabinet, walls, floor and underpinning. This is not acceptable! I will never buy anything from Camping World again!!!  I have a question regarding my insurance check made out to "Camping World Collision Center" for repairs to over $10,000 damage on my RV. We have a law suit in litigation due to water damages because they forgot to re-install our main water inlet hose. Camping World told my insurance agent to make the check out to "Camping World Collision Center". During discovery we have in writing from Camping World that states "Camping World Collision Center Does Not Exist." It is Not an entity! The judge even said this in court. This got even more interesting after we found out the back of the check was signed by Camping World RV Sales. Correct me if I'm wrong but this seems strange. I was trying to sell my 4 yr old camper that was in good shape. I filled out questionnaires from 2 dealers and got offers back from both. Camping World's sales office offered to buy it "outright for $10,200." And LazyDays offered $11,000 after I sent them some pictures. Now, I had a bad experience at Camping World trying to upgrade my last camper, so I was wary but the other dealer was 3.5 hrs away. Hoping to save time I called CampingWorld and set an appointment to drop it off at the Olive Branch location. When I got there, no one seemed to know I was coming. I finally found someone to talk with in the sales department but he wasn't sure what was going on. They wanted to inspect it(reasonable) and so backed it into a bay to plug it in. After an unreasonable amount of time, about 1.5 hours the sales manager came out with a list of things that needed to be repaired to the tune of $6500. There was nothing critical, but they wanted to redo all the seals, new tires, new LP service, etc. I told him that was ridiculous and he cut it back to $4400. He said that corporate would require those things to be done to resell it. I showed him the offer I received FROM corporate for $10,200 "outright" on a 4 year old camper with original equipment. I asked why it took 1.5 hours just to determine this. He was unapologetic and didn't care. This is their tactic, get you in, wear you down and take advantage. Shame on me for even trusting them. On a positive note, the bathroom roof vent blew off on the way there, and they were able to replace it before I left for a reasonable fee. Then they forgot to put my electric hook-up back in the trailer. So I had to waste another hour going back the next week. I called LazyDays RV and set up an appointment to drop it off. When I got there, they were very busy. Someone came right up to see what I was dropping off and as soon as I told them my name, they knew what was going on. They had me drop the trailer and 2 people came out to inspect and take pictures. They went inside and under and on the roof. In 15-20 minutes a guy said it looked great, took the keys, and took me into the office. I was handed off to someone that had the paperwork and check from corporate. After signing and making copies, I was done. 45 minutes, tops, for everything! read more

We took our motor home to olive branch miss to be winterized. Obviously they did nothing. When we were getting ready for our first camping trip we had multiple leaks. Our ice maker cracked. We had a leak in the shower that turned out to be caused by the lack of winterization. They were also supposed to secure the shower door. They didn't. To top it off. I've seen massive Camping World's my entire life but have never been in one until yesterday. We asked about quality used ones and if they had any Jaycos while we were here yesterday. We were told they didn't have any. They had 1 unit in the 34-36 foot motor home style we are looking for. I was very disappointed in the selection and the quality of the available units. After we got home, the salesman called to say they did have a Jayco 36 ft unit in stock. (Wish he had put more effort into looking yesterday when I asked). The salesman whistled the entire time he was with us. I found it annoying and distracting. It said to me he wasn't fully vested in listening and focusing on us. We came back to see the unit today. It was low miles but had not been well kept. It definitely wasn't clean. There was a dead mouse in the bed. We sat down to let him "make us a great deal". He came back with bottom offer of $1,000 less than asking price from $91,000 to $89,999. Bluebook value was $77,000. We left. read more

On one occasion the service department assisted me with a hitch that I did not purchase here, and did not charge me as I was a Good Sam customer. IMO, this is the definition of service. I have heard bad things about Camping World In Olive Branch, MS. We purchased a 5th Wheel Montana and took it in for the 99 day check up. They found a leak in the closet where the washer and dryer would connect. It messes up the floor. They jumped on it and fixed that and a few other small issues. One week after Dee Lawton called to give us the update. We probably received 5 or 6 calls until they called to let us know it was done. Dee told us that he would do a final inspection and wash the out side before we picked it up. I just want to say that we were very satisfied with the professionalism that camping world gave us. We called around 2:30 and were told "the guy left 30 minutes ago" but now it's almost 7:00 P.M. and after calling the driver directly, the driver told us we were bumped. We are waiting with little kids for our camper but the driver has to go get it. Mosquitoes are eating us up, grandkids left crying and it will be around 9:00 tonight. The sales associates Keith and Chance were amazing. They went above and beyond expectations. These two were very knowledgeable and we couldn't have asked for a better pair! And can't forget about Nita. She is equally as amazing and friendly! These three made it worth coming to this establishment. And deserve to be recognized. The service experience was lacking , had a fifth wheel installed on my truck , by the time I drove 45 minutes home 2 bolts had completely fallen out and the rest weren't torqued at all, this is a serious safety hazard , had I not noticed and hooked up to my camper it could have killed people and totaled out my truck let alone anybody else on the road , I would caution closely inspecting work. I had to come back down for the umpteenth time which was frustrating however the service manager Scott did make sure I was compensated for my time with gift card which helped and he made sure the best technicians did a full inspection on all bolts which was reassuring! We purchased a travel trailer from them a few weeks ago. After spending 20k ,I was trying to remove my hitch equipment and needed assistance for a dead battery to operate the electric jack. The sales manager quickly came out to say that they charge for hitch work. That made my whole experience go from great to bad. I wanted to leave with my money, but decided to let it go. Terrible customer service. I was told that my camper would be done the same day, then to be told it would be 2-3 weeks, then told a third time that it takes 2-3 weeks for them to look at it. We had an inspection done, the super cleaning package and had some small maintenance items. Basically it didn't get entered correctly and I called 8 times and my husband went by there twice. Penny said she would give me the status about 6 different times. I had to get ugly on the phone to speak with someone to give me an update. Every time my family and I have been in there they have been nothing but nice and professional and treated us like family. Awesome! We stayed overnight in our trailer. They closed at 7:00pm, but walked out into the rain to show us the space with electric (30/50amp) and ensured we had what we needed for the night. In the morning, we used the free dump station and filled our propane $3.99-Good Sam Discount =$3.19. They were so kind! It was cold and they just opened. They made fresh hot coffee for me. DO NOT buy a camper from any camping world store because the service that you will receive is horrible. We have a 2014 Alpine camper that we have taken into this location for service twice. Both times we were put off with the repairs not being done when promised. We would call 4 or 5 times a day and the service department would not answer. They made excuses for everything. It would have been better to just man up and say they dropped the ball....no one ever did. We arrived to pick up our camper this afternoon as promised...but they haven't even started on it. We purchased a 5th wheel from a sales guy named Steve. He is the Larry Leisure used car sales man looking dude. We purchased it on a sale and he came across as he was doing us a favor. When we did the FINAL walk through they walked us through a different trailer, telling us it was ours. We discovered it was a different 5th wheel when they delivered a trailer that was not only filthy, but had all the original stickers left in it. The one we did the FINAL walked through did not. We called them and spoke with Travis, TK (the GM), and Scott. None of which listened to the actual issue, but gave what they thought were solutions to something that was not the problem. You just swindled a customer by playing the switcharoo. All they said was well you have a manufacturer's warranty. We were told since you don't have pictures or video there is nothing you can do. Really!?! Spoke to district manager Diana or Deana which took our information and then never called back. Come to find out there was a leak in the bathroom skylight and down the shower wall, and the hot water heater was busted. This was a new trailer. Do not purchase from this property or company. They say if you are not happy they are not happy, but they don't care as long as they get your cash. Being this was our first experience making a purchase like this it will definitely be the last with Camping World. Wish there were negative stars I could give. I do not recommend this Camping World to anyone. We live in Oklahoma and we're working in Texas. We found our new camper online and was told everything was good and we were approved to come on in. My husband took of work and we drove the 8 hours I their location. When arriving we let them go through our camper for another accurate estimate. Then they came back to us and said that they could do it but we would have to come up with more cash down. The thing that bothered us the most was the fact that they pulled my husband one direction and me the other. Long story short we were there for 6 hours and was starving by the time we left there. After walk through we had a red flag we should have went with. It was quick and we knew more about camper than person showing us camper. We did come up with extra money and left with camper. Have found several things wrong that need attention soon. I have tried to call and get something done. After being handed off from one person to another we are still waiting to hear from someone. BUYER BEWARE!!! Here is a quick synopsis of my review, as the actual review is lengthy. We went to buy a camper, we were told of two great features that we weren't looking for but were excited to have, auto-leveling and an automatic awning that retracts during high winds. We agreed on a price and proceeded to the finance department. The payments seemed higher than expected and we questioned it. They had added an additional 4000 to the final amount of the loan and didn't subtract the down payment. We caught their "honest mistake" and got the amount back where it should be. Monthly payments were where we expected them to be. During the walk-though, the next day, we were informed that it did not have auto leveling, nor the awning that retracts during high wind. The general manager called, he was actually the same guy that tried to finance the wrong amount, and asked what we wanted. We explained that we just wanted what we were told that we were buying. He said that he would install an auto leveling system for an additional 3000. He also explained that he was going to sell the camper whether we bought it or not. Of course, we did not. We went to Southaven RV and purchased one the following weekend. Go ask for Matt at Southaven RV. I have posted the full incident on my Facebook page and made it public for anyone to read. read more

VERY BAD EXPERENCE! They tried to "up sale" us $5,000 over our stated price range then added about $2,000 in additional charges as in $899 for a weight distribution hitch that Camper World sells on line for $239: plus $399 prep fee which is for two batteries, filling the LP tanks and washing it prior to pickup; somewhere around $500 destination fee (it was a used camper traded in at their location)leaves , $99 document preparation ( bill of sale and title ) then there was sales tax on top of that. We wanted to pay cash, they kept pushing paying money down and setting up financing so we could spend more. Use EXTREME caution when dealing with Camper World of Memphis, ask questions about all add-on charges and challenge them on anything that seems out of line. read more

I was very pleased with our sales person Mickey Willingham he has gone over and above to help us out. He has even helped us out with warranty work although it is not his responsibility. But, our camper has been their twice for warranty work the first time 31 days just to find out nothing was done and now since 10/25/2018 and it's 1/21/2019 that's almost 3 months. Nobody would call me back the bank contacted me because dealership wouldn't call them back The service department was not very nice. My unit has sat at Camping World for weeks at a time to not even be looked at , only to be told " oh well bring it back next week" I found out personally all the bad reviews of the Service Department are true. I recently bought a used truck and went into Camping world just to get someone to confirm that my trailer brake controller was working. Two stars instead of the one because the lady at the service desk I talked to was nice and gave me some good advice that I already knew. She wasn't any help at all accomplishing what I went in for. She wasn't too happy that I wasn't there to buy an RV and tried to persuade me that the 20-foot trailer I eventually wanted to buy wouldn't be big enough, like that was somehow her business. I don't think I've ever had a worst experience in a retail store ever ever ever. We purchased a rv water hose at the Little Rock location (no problems there). Get home to attach it and the threads on the male end have been crushed and the hose of course won't attach. We live 2.5 hours from that location, but happened to be going to the Olive Branch location this weekend so we stopped in to EXCHANGE it. Well for whatever reason the hose was $3.00 more at the Olive Branch location than the Little Rock location and they actually wanted us to pay the freaking difference. We refused on principle. After stating we simply wanted to exchange it, the employee (supposedly acting manager at the time) got pretty defensive and extremely rude about the whole transaction. There was no way we were paying the difference to exchange a defective water hose simply because we purchased it at the different price (not on sale) at another location OF THE EXACT SAME COMPANY. Needless to say we left the rest of our potential purchases on the counter and walked out. Nice job training your employees customer service there at the Olive Branch location CAMPING WORLD. Quite possibly the last time we shop at any Camping World basically on principle that it's ridiculous to upcharge someone to exchange a brand new defective product. read more

I had a service job on my awning which was covered by the insurance (or so I thought), and had more than one service person tell me what my total cost would be, but when it came to the bill it was more that 800.00 dollars what they had quoted me! Very poor sales experience. We found a 2009 Great West class B motorhome with low mileage on the internet. Camping World knew that we were traveling a great distance to view it, and made no disclosures about defects in the unit. Upon arrival we found a very obvoius section of paint peeling on the hood which should have been visible in the on line listing photos. There was also clearly visible peeling of the clear coat paint on the lower body that ought to have been disclosed in the listing. The multiple exterior photos cleverly did show any issues, as is customary in orher on line listings. Camping World themselves estimated $3500 to repaint these areas ( not including a chip in the fiberglass near the right rear taillight that appeared later that day.) We then found that the electric sofa would not fold down to make the bed. One salesmen, who claimed many years of experience with RVs, almost suceeded in convincing me that this was probobly due to a low battery, despite the fact that the generator was running. Our salesman told that the bed would be fixed, and when they finally got around to looking at it (when we made it clear that we would not sign for the purchase and trust that they would get the bed working) they fussed around and declared it working. But after two cycles it failed. My quick inspection found a bent drive shaft, the obvious cause of the problem. When confronted with this they started (the next day) to look for a replacement part. It is not clear that the part is available as Great West shows as out of business and the sofa appears to be a custom made unit. We did not go through with the sale. (To their credit, they honered their promise that they would refund the deposit we made to hold the unit for our inspection if we decided not to buy.) We do think that Camping World knew about the problem in the sofa and just hoped they could get it to go up and down for us until we got out the driveway. They claimed they had another buyer lined up. The sales manager made it clear to us, after our decision, that this is very much a buyer beware situation. I fully expect that they will fuss with bed and get it working enough to sell it without disclosing the problem. Someone else will be stuck with camper van with out a working bed. Fortunately for us we are only out four days of travel and expenses, for an "interesting" getaway. read more
