Employee was very nice, showed me where to go and helped me get things. They have a HUGE selection of things, and most is surprisingly cheap, I got 2 bandoilers for about 6 dollars, a claymore bag for 7 dollars, and a canteen for 9, all in alright condition. If you want to listen to an extremist yell at customers about conspiracies dating back to Roosevelt and how President Trump being the lord and savior of the world.....(verbatim) this is definitely your place. I'm a Navy veteran, thought it would be cool to bring my teenage son to the surplus store. pick up a few things for him. The person working at the register was very loud, and aggressive sharing her extreme views, which I respect her and everyone's right to have. That being said...I stopped in to have a nice outing with my son, while taking a walk down memory lane, and to buy a few things. I did not stop in to listen to an aggressive person, yelling loud enough to hear throughout the entire shop....the entire time from the moment we opened the door to walk in, all the way to the moment we closed it on our way out. If I wanted to listen to a conspiracy theory about why the government has lied to generations of their family and how America is a lie and doomed to fail......I'd go to a function designed for that. Wrong time. Wrong place. The customer trying to check out looked bewildered, stunned, and stuck because the employee just went on and on and on. Everything the customer said the employee argued with them getting louder. It wasn't a conversation, it was a lecture. I won't support any business that doesn't provide a welcoming, safe, environment to all customers. This place IS NOT that. I respect their right to their opinion, they can respect mine to not spend my money there. We went to a neighboring town to a similar store to make a purchase. I love my country. I served my country. I don't enjoy sharing space with anyone who talks about everything they hate about it. read more

Before walking into this store you should understand this store provides knockoff gear. Many items, such as the hat they had sold me, will be labelled as "Made in China". If you are looking for equipment that is not actually United States military surplus, then go crazy. I personally think it's a joke to provide Chinese knock-offs and present them as authentic gear. I don't know, maybe I'm angry that it's the eve of Independence Day and I'm noticing the hat I'm wearing is Made in China. It's of course possible most of these stores do this these days - just understand that this store is absolutely one of them. read more

Came by at 4:45, because their hours are listed as 10-6 online. Lady behind the counter immediately asked me if I was about ready, to which I replied "Pardon?" And she told me that they are about to close, I kinda joked "Oh my bad, Google said y'all were open until 6." The reply I got was "Well I've worked here 8 years and we've never changed our hours, so I don't care what google said". Will definitely not be coming back another day. read more

this is the perfect place if you are interested in many hoora things Including rifles, uniforms, backpack's, knife, hats, and airsoft guns as. well as patches and pins many self defense items as well and staff is great and will be glad to talk with you and show you around and are really nice. they have many items on display such as a MG42 and many muskets as well as a rocket named the "red eye" I highly recommend this place for a great surpluse store read more

Having grown up in the Germantown/ Collierville area this store has always been an interesting one to us as children. We'd have our parents get us camo hats for "flashlight tag" at night. If you don't know what flashlight tag is then you missed out as a kid. Periodically I stop in and have a look at the merchandise. It would take days to look at every single thing in the store but it's a lot of fun to look regardless. They have a great collection of knives, moral patches, and pretty much anything military related even MREs. They've got a few plate carriers as well as battle belts and "go bags" that are already set up with your essentials. I'd imagine this would be a great place to visit if you're a prepper. The wife has come to know that if we're going to eat at the Silver Caboose we'll be making a stop here! The only down side to the store is its awfully cramped, especially toward the back of the store. An when I say cramped it's the sheer amount of merchandise they have. That certainly won't stop be from coming in when I'm in the area! read more

I always love to wander around an army surplus. Maybe it's the tomboy in me. This store is not exception -- set on the edge of the historic downtown, it's filled with the usual gear -- military blues, greens, and camouflage, as well as some nice bomber jackets in an array of sizes. You'll find a decent selection of knives -- pocket and larger for your boy scout or the camper. You'll also find patches, Vietnam and WW memorabilia. I was in quiet awe of some used helmets for sale -- old ones from old wars -- marred by bullet holes. It's a packed, slightly musty place that you can get lost in for a few. read more

Cheap equipment. I bought a 32" solid steel stick last Friday and came apart while practicing with it the same day. I went back to the store today and they said I have to have my receipt before they would do anything even though they know I bought it there. I called fox outdoor products the maker of the stick and they said the will send me a new one. Come to find out fox has discontinued these. My suggestion is DO NOT buy from here. Go online and buy. That way if something happens they will have a record of it on a computer instead of the the 1980 style record keeping this dump has. This is one of the reasons why online stores are putting the brick and morter businesses out of business. read more

First I would say, Yes some stuff is expensive. Second I would say that this is a surplus store (you are receiving used items, so know that before entering) My husband and I visited this store for the first time this past Wednesday in order to just spend time a day off together. We are both Veterans. We were surprised at the cheap prices of some stuff and some stuff was over priced. (you will find that everywhere, so pick and choose what you buy and don't buy same as you do with target walmart....etc) Also you can bring stuff in if you want to sell it but basically do a trade or credit, which is nice because not many places offer this anymore. Yes things are everywhere but once again you are in a small family owned Army Surplus store what do you expect. As far as the comment regarding the receipt below, ANY BUSINESS with or without computers MAJORITY of the time will ask for receipt so that is not unreasonable. Pretty common sense if you want to return something then bring receipt in my opinion. They are not going to have brand new things like this guy obviously thought he was getting. They are nice social respectful people that run this establishment. Its nice, take time to look around there. Yes its in a cute town square in Collierville so some people are yuppies that want to go in there and have certain standards but damn remember what store it is. Don't like it then go somewhere else. lol. I love this place and my husband did too, so we will be going back when we can take our time and maybe buy our 2 boys somethings there since they do stock youth uniforms and clothing which is nice and rare to find in places like these. I have been a customer of this store for years. They offer good service and always take care of their customers. The prices are good and they are always helpful and to be honest there is nothing better then exploring their isles to see what you can find. My friends in my unit shop here as well.
