Unfortunately you cannot provide a negative rating. The service department provide the worst service I have ever experienced. This is our second visit in the last 2 years. Last visit they had our trailer for 5 weeks, we would call at least twice a week for an update, and could never get a response. Finally we had to go in and wait, threatening to stay as long as it took, to get an update. That was during week 4 and they had yet to perform any of the service. This time around we dropped it off on June 21st with a small issue. It is now July 13th, we have been calling daily for an update for the last 2 weeks, to no avail, and my husband just got an email telling us how much it will cost for the repair. I am not sure why it has taken them 21 days to just look at it and why they couldn't return one of our many calls. Keep in mind, they set the appointment on June 21st, we did not just walk in. I am ready to sell the trailer and go somewhere else and purchase a new one just so I do not have to deal with them in the future. The sales people may be friendly and helpful, which they are, but owing the RV does not end at the sale. Unfortunately, the service department is horrible. read more

Very disappointing. This is our first RV purchase and after looking at several tow-behind trailers at other dealers in the area we decided on the 21ft. Forest River Rockwell at Camping World of Meridian. We love the trailer and the salesman was knowledgeable and friendly. The only downside I have to say for sales and finance experience it that it was very rushed. Anyway, after taking delivery at the dealership I thought there would training as we are first time owners and had zero experience with RV's. The person showing us the operations and features seemed very rushed and kept asking "do you have any more questions?". I didn't know what questions to ask!! The whole experience was very frustrating so I sent an email directly to the Camping World CEO letting him know. His office responded (the CEO did not respond of course) and I was able to take the trailer in a 2nd time for more training. Once again, the person showing us the trailer operations seemed to just rush through it and kept asking me "do you have any more questions?". Once again! I didn't know what questions to ask! After owning the trailer for a month, I was able to figure a lot on my own. My advice is if you are a first time RV owner and decide to purchase a RV from Camping World KNOW WHAT QUESTIONS TO ASK!!! read more

We took our RV in for a new Lift kit for a failed rear jack motor issue. We were quoted $6802.00. Everything was fine - until it wasn't. We received a call from the service dept. stating that they needed another 3 additional hours to install the lift kit. Plus there was another $600.00 required for parts in order to finish the job. The explanation was poor - but what I was able to understand was that our bill was growing and going up. The price was a moving target. The customer service was for the most part hit and miss depending who was helping you. We left a message with the manager the next working day which was a Monday. We called again and left a message but after no response we just decided to drive down there to get this resolved. After a couple of hours of going back and forth and with many quotes and revisions - not to mention frustration......we got it resolved. We also had them check the seals around the motor home for leaks. At that point our confidence was shot down and we opted out of not having them do the repairs. Now - onto the positive side. There were 2 people that we were impressed with. They tried hard to make things right. Not sure of the spelling but one young man was named Andrea. Andrea worked in service and there was Eddie who is the manager of the parts department on the other side of the store. Eddie was able to bring the price down to the original quote- shaving off of about $800.00 from the original quote. The work appears to have been done properly. When we picked up the RV - they did come out and show us the repaired fix. Hopefully this dealer can get their customer service and prices down packed, so they can turn this place around. read more

I took my fifth wheel to Camping World to be consigned. I called first and went through the process with Mindy. She is the consignment specialist. She was absolutely wonderful! From the time we dropped it off until the time we picked up the check she did all the work and made the process so easy. I would highly recommend working with Mindy and Camping World. I could leave negative stars, I would. Never have I dealt with a company that was not only unprofessional but also unorganized and down right liars. My boyfriend and I went to purchase an RV due to a very unfortunate event that is leaving us without a home. We brought in our life savings of 30K cash in hopes we might be able to leave with something. The salesman was new and a little all over the place but none the less, he was very kind, stayed late and seemed legitimately interested in helping (Lee). We looked at multiple units and ultimately agreed on 2. We then gave $1000 (only 100 was required) deposit to "hold the unit" and were convinced that financing was a better option by the "finance manager." He stated "cash is not king" and would not benefit us (them). They also hit my credit 6 times and caused a 12 pt drop (on already struggljng credit). Jeremy (finance manager) sat with us and went over numbers. We explained that we were in a rush and needed one asap. 4 days later ( some rush) we were approved for financing and said we wanted to move forward. Bottom line...the unit we thought we were buying was NOT one we had agreed upon. After wasting yet another 2 days, the store manager ,Troy, apologized for the miss communication and asked me to bring my family down as he wanted to "make it right" and had a plan. We went down to Camping World the next morning and not once did Troy bother to speak with us or work with us. He couldn't even acknowledge us. We were shown another unit (that Troy suggested) and we loved it. Praying this mess was over, we sat to do paperwork and were then told that it was out of our price range. My family and I will be homeless starting tomorro as financing from other companies also takes time. On top of that they pocketed our $1000 which was never told to us!!!! They asked for one hundred dollars down and we opted for more as we were in the building and figured it would go towards our purchase. Troy provided the worst customer service that I have seen from any management in my life. He is a coward and couldnt even tell us to iur face that they were svrewing us over. Jeremy lied straight to our face and ultimately they took advantage of our situation. Stay far away from these crooks!! They are disgusting human beings who lack morals, respect and honesty. They will steal, lie, cheat and take advantage of you!!! I hope the sales men that they have leave immediately as they deserve to work for a real, honest and reputable company. Buyer beware!!!!!! I almost feel like this place should have two different ratings. One for RV sales and service which most of the negative reviews seem to take aim at, and one for parts. I have not purchased nor received service on my RV at this location. My review and rating is strictly based on my experience​ at thier retail parts store. This is a typical Camping world location, nobody stocks as much RV parts and accessories as Camping World. They have an excellent selection, and helpful staff. Took my class A in for an oil change. While there, it quit running. After diagnosis they found a bad fuse and charged me $135 for the diagnosis. For some reason they must have decided to look at the brakes because they informed me I needed a brake job and quoted me over $3300 to do it. I called around and found Blue Wrench in Garden City. They quoted me less than $1100 so I took it to them. They checked the brakes and determined that I had about 60% left and didn't need a brake replacement, then didn't even charge me for the diagnosis. I wanted to share my experience with the Camping World in Meridian Idaho. I put a deposit on a used 2006 Coach House Platinum 272XL. I was told to wait 3 weeks to come and pick it up because they needed to get parts to fix it up. I waited 3 week and was left to travel at the most dangerous time in America. I rented an one-way rental to avoid plane travel. I came from Los Angeles California and had to spend a night in Nevada because driving the whole way in a day was impossible for me. I am disabled and cannot endlessly drive due to my back problems. I arrived Saturday the 18th for my appointment with Jim Dorsey. I was shown around the RV by Pedro. I immediately noticed many issues that would effect the safety of the rig. For example: the fog lights reflectors had delaminated and the debris was at the bottom of the lights; the handle and lock to the spare tire compartment was missing and there was no way to open the compartment; the generator would not fire, after multiple attempts to start by Pedro; the seal on the bedroom slide was not secured and daylight could be seen from inside the rig (the bedspread was damp and dusty because of this); the toilet seat was not secured; the rubber threshold of the shower door was not sealed to prevent the water from the shower from dripping on the floor and causing water damage; the exterior safety light by the entry was cracked and a lot of the bulbs were burned out; many of the cabinet doors were loose and hanging precariously; a spring at the bottom of the passenger cab seat was protruding out of the bottom. I was shocked at how filthy the rig was. I was told by Troy, the general manager, that the propane was shut off from the underside of the rig for cleaning. This is an obvious lie, since the rig was gross. The vents were completely covered in dust and grime. The carpet was covered in grease and the bathroom was dirty. This is a safety concern especially in these COVID times. The exterior of the motor home was not clean. I do not understand why I had to wait for so long for a rig that was obviously dirty and not safe. I am upset and feel this was because Jim thought I would be so desperate to buy this vehicle since I traveled so far. I also suspect they assumed that because I am female that I don't know anything. In fact, I new more about the RV then Pedro who couldn't answer my questions about the function of things. I had to explain things to him. I am downright angry at the treatment I experienced. I was told by Pedro that he would get answers to what would get fixed. I was asked if I was local when they realized I was not going to be fooled. Nobody got back to me about the repairs that needed fixing, but I was sent to the finance office to pay and sign paperwork. The rig was listed in good condition. Your add touted that this vehicle slept 3. I even spoke to Jim to check that the dinette was original, as I had never seen this type of dinette in a Couch House before. I was told that it was. Assuming that it was, it should convert to a bed as advertised. The only good experience was with Linda who works at the front desk. When I Jim for my deposit to be refunded I got the run around. A man in a Santa suit asked for my credit card and didn't even introduce himself. I waited 20 minutes for my card to be returned. In the mean time I had Troy try to convince me to buy it even though I had been lied to. Troy's excuse was that it is sold as is. I expected some dings and scrapes, but not the obvious deception that had happened. After Troy's visit, I had to wait more for my card to be returned. It was given to me by another young man who also did not introduce himself. I was told to wait 3 weeks (during the worse increase in COVID since the pandemic began) because things needed fixing. I expected the RV to be safe and repaired. My physical health was compromised due to these lies. There were stains on the dinette that were not disclosed, there was a hole in the rear bumper that was not disclosed. Seals around the safety lights needed sealing. These are details that I would expect to be addressed when buying from a dealership. I believe that they thought I would just not notice these issues. I expected a safe and clean rig that I would drive back to Los Angeles. I could have easily been stranded on the highway on my way home and they would have just told me "oh well, it was sold as-is". There are lemon laws, and this is a lemon. Of course I am going to walk away where my safety is concerned. I am grossly disappointed. To make such a long and expensive trip, just to have to turn around and return to Los Angeles I now have to return my money order back to the bank. I was paying full price in cash and expected to get some respect from these folks. The behavior of this dealership was atrocious. I had to return with all expenses and no joy. I have told my two friends who are actively searching for a motor home, not to purchase from you. read more

Customer service in the service department needs to hire people that truly want to help it's customer. The woman I talked to was beyond rude. If there was another place close that did warranty work on my RV I would never go back. Our experience from start to finish was AMAZING! Our sales person Mike was very helpful and answered all questions and showed us everything we asked to see. We traded in our truck camper and got a very fair price for it and the trade in process was effortless. The finance process with Efren was entertaining to say the least and he did everything possible to get us all we needed as far as rate and any extras available. We purchased a brand new travel trailer from Camping World. It has had several issues, and has now been in the service department for 3 weeks (not its first trip back to the service department). There has been no communication regarding when it will be done. After calling and asking for an update several times, I received a call today letting me know the repair had not been approved by warranty yet because it was just submitted on June 10th. We dropped the camper off around May 24th. They could not tell me when it will be done. I do not recommend purchasing a new camper through Camping World. read more

Claudio, our Service Writer, did an amazing job with coordination of services (we did a complete remodel of our RV) and communication. Cory, our Service Tech, was highly experienced and his quality of work was unprecedented. Pat and Danielle in the service department ensured we had all of the parts that were required and called ahead, prior to any completed order to ensure we agreed to the plan. Lastly, JT the Service Director, ensured we were always up to speed with the process of our large job. He was straight forward and welcomed any questions we brought forth. We went in this last weekend to look at a trailer. Told the salesman exactly what we wanted. They ended up not showing us the one we wanted but instead showed us the 2022 instead of the 2021 which was 12k more in price. We couldn't come to agreeable terms on the financing and instead of saying we'll come back if you change your mind or shaking our hand or even a goodbye he simply walked out like a grown toddler, over $100 a month difference. We went to next door to Bish's today and ended up buying the trailer we wanted and we're treated with respect. Camping world was going to give more for our trade but still didn't account for where $2000 of the trade value was going. Their math skills are seriously lacking. Customer service is sub par. Save yourself the headache and go to Bush's where they are up front and fully disclose everything. read more

My husband and I just purchased a new trailer here today. The experience was great at first, but turned sour when there were some "warranty problems" with the exterior. Just when I was about to leave a 1 star review, Camping World fixed the entire situation and made sure we left their store happy. The general manager really stepped up to make sure we were WELL taken care of and we are absolutely satisfied with the overall experience. They reconized, took ownership, and made amends with the mistake they made, and because of this, we are satisfied with the overall experience. read more

I made sure I took my Coleman trailer in before it froze this year as not to be charged $400 to thaw out the lines and winterize. The tech came back and said the bypass valve to the water heater was leaking and said they need to fix it if they had the part. They brought out the new plastic valve and told me I would have to pay for the part and an hour of time. When asked how much for the hour it was going to cost, the price was $129. Funny thing is, this "leaking" valve is secured with a clamp to a floor joist and covered with foam insulation. Basically no way it should leak after two years or rattle loose. I told them I didn't touch it, their tech was the only one who did. Some how I'm still liable. I made them plug the hoses to bypass and paid the regular $130 for winterizing I should've just done myself. If you want BS service and BS reasons to breaking parts, this is the place. Save your money. 09/15/18 Went to camping world (don't know why) to get an attachment to go into my pump under the sink. Stopped at their service desk where the always unfriendly men work. When asked if they had said piece the man said, "No those are specific to the brand of pump you have." I then asked if stores such as Lowe's, Home Depot, or a plumbing store would have the attachment. Again he said, "No. those are specific to the pump you have." No help, just straight "get the F out of my face" attitude. I left the store and went to Bish RV next door to see if what Captain Helpful at Camping World said was true. I asked the service guy at Bish for the attachment to the pump and he said, "Do you want a straight one or one with an elbow? One or two?" Apparently they aren't that difficult to find when you actually care. I should've never gone back to Camping World. Now. I won't. read more

Hit or miss? Reviews of Camping World of Boise are very poor, or very good. For me, I hope never to have to deal with Camping World of Boise again. I bought a new 2014 Dutchmen 16' ultra-light trailer from Camping World of Boise, and the sales staff was friendly and persuasive. Perhaps it helped that we had a substantial down payment. But that was the last pleasant experience I've had at Camping World of Boise. I've been to Camping World of Boise twice now, the first time for help in replacing the propane line to the cylinder and lighting the refrigerator. During our first camping trip I'd detected a strong smell of propane, and a soapy water spray showed a leak at the coupling. We made an appointment, left the trailer and returned a week later to be told there was no problem with the refrigerator and no leak at the propane coupling. I had to repeatedly ask for a service tech to walk out to the trailer with me and attempt to light the refrigerator. He tried for 15 minutes, finally getting it to light, telling me that it would get better over time. I did not detect any propane odor so I called it good and left. My second experience was worse. After a year and several more camping trips, the propane odor returned. Again, a soapy water spray showed a leak at the coupling. This time I removed the hose myself and took it to Camping World of Boise for a replacement, hoping it would take only 15-minutes to buy, install and get on our way. It was nearly an hour. An hour of frustration. An hour of poor, poor customer service. I walked into the front door, expecting to be greeted by the receptionist. No greeting and no eye contact, despite no customers at the front desk. I went to the parts department. Two men behind the counter, one flipping pages of a catalog, one with a customer, and another customer waiting for service. And me. No eye contact, no "Be right with you!". I wandered the aisles, looking for LP parts. No staff came to ask if I needed help. With customers still at the front counter I went to the other side of the store, the sales side of Camping World of Boise. Again, no staff greeted me, no staff asked if they could help. I wandered the aisles until landing at a small LP parts display. None of the replacement hoses matched my old one. They were either too short or had a different style of coupling. I waited in line at the cash register and asked the clerk for help, and she immediately closed her register and walked back with me to the LP parts display to help. She was the ONLY bright spot that day at Camping World. Together we again looked for a match for my hose, but found nothing. She then went to the "back room" to see if there were any on the overstock shelf, but came back to say there were none. I asked if there were couplings that would convert the older style of hose to the newer style. While she went to the parts department I looked closer at the LP display. Sure enough, I found a coupling that appeared to be made to fit my style of older hose, converting it to the newer style coupling. When the clerk returned I asked it it would work for me. She did not know, but she invited me to talk with the parts staff. At the parts department, I again received no greeting, no eye-contact, no offer to help. I waited until the customer line had dwindled, leaving one parts tech flipping through a catalog, again! I waited in front of him. No greeting, no eye-contact, no mention of "be right with you". Finally, he looked up with raised eyebrows, "Yes?" I explained my problem and showed him my old hose, the newer style replacement hose, and the coupling. He looked at them all, paused, looked again, and said, "Nope." I had to ask him why the coupling wouldn't work. He said, implying in his tone that I was on the stupid side of smart, that I was trying to fit a male coupling to a male coupling. Wouldn't work. I pointed to the label on the coupling package: "FEMALE". He frowned, grabbed the package, studied it carefully, looked at my hose, looked at the coupling, looked at the new hose, looked at the coupling and then looked at me. "Well, let's find out!" He ripped open the package, screwed the coupling onto the hose, studied it carefully, and then said, "It's worth a try." Biting my tongue to prevent further argument and accusation, I asked simply for a roll of teflon pipe tape. He told me that I don't want to use teflon tape on LP fittings, that no one should ever use teflon tape on LP fittings I told him that the original hose, which I had in my hand, had been installed using teflon tape, on my propane trailer which I bought new the previous year from Camping World of Boise. He shrugged, telling me it was installed wrong. I paid my money, installed my new hose and new style coupling, soapy water tested and left town to go camping. read more

Chris was one of the Best Sales representative I have ever met !! I could of bought in my hometown but the way he treated me was something I have NEVER Experienced, he treated like I was family !! We bought our trailer in 2017 brand new. Right away we had issues so we took it in and about only one issue had been resolved, putting in a screw. Then our hot water heater failed. They did fix that. Just recently I scheduled it for more repairs, some of those would have been easy and cheap to fix. We bought an extended warranty so we assumed the would have been covered. Nope, only two of the issues would be covered, the cheap ones but then we were told that we would be charged one shop hour for each issue just to be diagnosed(150.00 each hour) I took trailer and left. Don't do business with them and definitely don't buy the warranty, it's all a scam. read more

She asked if I knew how wide the back of the trailer for the hitch because she needed it for the right fit of the hitch. I told her I didn't know and then asked her if she had a parts book to look it up and her answer was I don't know what the widths of every trailer. I said to her you should be able to look up the part in the book and since you carry the TT you should be able to find it. No answer so I told her I would find someone else that could really help with the brand of trailer I have since she was worthless.,,,,, no wonder CW of Meridian gets crappy reviews, they need to have people who know to look parts up and be helpful. Camping World is absolutely inexcusably awful!!! My husband and I went there last night in search of a travel trailer. Geoff seemed to be a very nice and honest salesman at first. But as we were looking at thier inventory, I mentioned that I wanted to look at one other place before we made a decision. His demeanor suddenly changed and he started questioning me as to where else I wanted to look and why. I gave him the name of the other dealership and he his response was "well we own them". He then proceeded to express the fact that what we are looking for sells fast so we needed to make a decision The pressure was on. I asked if we could all look at the inventory on line together and he was happy to help. Come to find out, my husband noticed that the search he did was customized to above our budget. Long story short we ended up giving them a HOLDING deposit of $500 and told that we needed to contact him when the financing got approved prior to them prepping it for sale. We found a better trailer that would meet our family needs much better for a similar price at another dealership. When we called Geoff at Camping World to inform him of our new find, we were absolutely appalled at his response. He not only was absolutely disrespectful, he threatened to send us a bill for the work that had been done to the trailer, send our information to "management" prior to hanging up on us. Please keep in mind, we didn't request any work be done, we never signed any paperwork promising to buy the trailer. If that isn't bad enough, we stopped in to get our holding deposit check back and they refused to give it to back to us. I'm not usually a person that complains about companies or customer service because I know we all have our bad days. But this is absolutely inexcusably wrong!!! Not to mention illegal!!! This is the worst company I have ever delt with. We made an appointment to take our motorhome in. Got there and they had no record of our appointment. We had written a list of what we needed done and gave it to them. 2 weeks later the only thing they had done was change the oil. We bought insurance when we bought it for an extra $10500. The big problem was over heating. After 3 weeks when we tracked someone down. They said well it does get warm when it's hot out. Duh! So we explained the problem after another week they said they weren't able to recreate the problem. Did they take it up a climb. NO. They finally got around to ordering the parts for the piddley stuff. Those would be there in a few weeks they said. Then they said they couldn't fix t kmhe overheating problem it would have to go to a diesel mechanic. We asked well why can't it go there while you are waiting for parts. Oh gee I guess so they said. They finally got it to their preferred mechanic. He couldn't get a hold of anyone at camping world either to get the insurance approval so they weren't happy because it was taking up a bay. Wait another week. called the insurance company and they hadn't heard anything from camping world about the overheating. They always tell us they will call us on Friday and they haven't done so yet. We were trying to be patient so we would wait until Tuesday and call them ourselves. And imagine that no one was available. My husband has gone over there 4 times. We get a lot of lip service. It's been 6 weeks. I could go on and on. They didn't do the things they were supposed to when we bought it either. Save a lot of frustration and don't patronize this company. read more

I had decided to buy a camper from CW in Meridian and was ready to sign paper work. Time was tight because my wife had to go back to work. We made the appointed time and waited a half hour. We couldn't wait any longer so we set another time. Another dealer called and told me that the camper we originally wanted to buy is coming out with a model that totally fits our needs. Told CW we needed time to think about the purchase. They told us because they had to ship the camper in they would not refund our deposit.Didn't want to even try to convince us that we should stick with the original camper we had brought in.Now that I have been reading about the terrible reports on their service department I am even less sure I should business with them. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK EVERYTHING WHEN BUYING FROM CAMPING WORLD They provided me with 2 larger propane tanks, they claimed were filled, but upon using the propane for heat, both were empty. Then when going back after they said the would refill the tanks, they stated that the tanks were EXPIRED, and they I needed to drive 15 miles to get the tank "certified". AND upon going to the location CW advised, they said the tanks were not expired after all. I'm pissed at the quality and reliability of this location read more

I sent a request to Camping World-Meridian looking for a particular travel trailer. They didn't have this trailer in stock but the salesman told me he would try to find it and have it shipped to Meridian. Great! I told him I wanted a weight distribution hitch included in the price and I intended to pay cash for the trailer. After several text messages between the two of us (and the price changing several times)he told me he had found a trailer and could sell it for a price but had to get approval from his manager because it was a cash transaction and Camping World wouldn't be making the profit from me financing it. Apparently the price (without finance charges)was not approved and the new price went up thousands of dollars. Each time I got a new price the salesman added the weight distribution hitch and BATTERIES. DON'T ALL TRAILERS HAVE BATTERIES? I got a call later from the sales manager who said he would try to help me. Next he offered to send me info on lower cost trailers. I wasn't interested in lower cost trailers and Never heard a word from the sales manager as promised. My point in posting this is to tell Camping World sales People that buyers don't appreciate "sales games" from the salesman who will "check with the manager" and then having the sales manager come into the scene playing "good cop/bad cop". I bought a nice travel trailer from camping World in another location a few years ago and they were very professional. I'll never go to or contact Camping World again. ***There is way too much competition in this area to be treated like this! TRY ANY OTHER DEALERSHIP! read more

UPDATE: After nearly 2 months in service - we were told we could pick up our trailer, so we showed up and guess what -- NO PAPERWORK AND OUR KEYS ARE LOST!!!! we left without our trailer and management has yet to pick up the phone. It would be cheaper and quicker to drive to Salt Lake City or Portland to get service done on your motor home! Not kidding! I needed an oil change on my motor home, and Camping World was the only RV service center in Boise that would do the engine and generator. All the other RV centers would only do the generator. After five days of waiting ('promised' in two days) they finally got our oil changed on the engine (Ford V10), and the generator. I had asked for an estimate on repairs for a very small crack in the sidewall also. After 5 days of no contact, I had my wife drop me off determined to leave with the motor home whether it was done or not... I had to wait over an hour. I sat outside with a guy who was absolutely fuming over them losing his camper... I finally just went in and told them I'm leaving! I had my spare keys and could see my motor home! This is when they rushed out the bill and my keys: over $200 for the oil change!! They also said I had two broken exhaust manifold bolts and I needed to get that fixed right away. They were of course happy to do it for a cost of over $300! I asked about the body estimate, and they had no idea what I was talking about, of course... I paid, told them I'd never return, and left... Took it to Speed-O-Motive in Fruitland Idaho for the exhaust manifold repair- they found two loose bolts and a loose heat shield. Charged me $25! Funny follow-up: about a week later, I got a call from the body shop at Camping World. The guy was very rude, saying he had blocked out a spot in his very important schedule to look at my RV, but I had come and picked it up early! I told him that it sat there for 5 days waiting for him to look at it, three days longer than was scheduled. He basically accused me of wasting his time, and I hung up. Two days later, I got an official written estimate for repairs in the mail. It said they were ready to begin work, all they needed was my approval (they thought the motor home was still there). The estimate was for over $7000!!! For those potential customers who are smart enough to read Yelp reviews 'before' you go to Camping World in Meridian: DON'T DO IT!!! If you need toilet treatment or a new lawn chair, and are a 'member' of their special club, then go for it... If you need parts or service, 'BE AFRAID'!! P.S. I've since changed to oil on both the engine and generator myself: total cost with full synthetic was lass the $50. Hope this is helpful to someone... read more

Took the 2021 Fuel Toy Hauler purchased at this Camping World for some minor warranty work. The maintenance was planned to be completed prior to an upcoming trip. The Service Advisor, Jacqueline Cornu, was great. She was professional, courteous and friendly. Jacqueline took the time to ensure all our expectations were met. This company should not be in business. It's the sorriest excuse for a business I've ever seen. I bought a trailer there in July of 2018 and have used it once. It has been in the shop ever since with the biggest bunch of excuses I've ever heard. Wrong part ordered three times, no emails answered, no calls returned. Nothing but lies, and more lies. Once you buy its game over for you!! Hard to get service here. I have been trying to cash in my extended warranty for 6 months now. Filled out the papers at there office after calling 10 times without a callback. Still haven't received anything and still won't call back. Don't expect anything fast here ever. read more

The service department at this dealership gives the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The service techs and managers do not return phone calls, it takes forever to schedule service and they do not complete the work properly on the work scheduled with the department. Do yourself a favor and schedule your service at Camping World Caldwell (with an excellent customer service department). read more

My Experience 40 foot Monaco Executive Diesel 500 HP Cummins. I as told that the coach would be ready to pick up on at 4:00 pm I received a call saying that they had the coach running and moved it around to detail it and couldn't get it started. They said that they ran the batteries down trying to start it and didn't have a working battery charger. They said it wasn't getting fuel. The next morning I went to Camper's World to see what was going on. I was told that the engine wasn't getting fuel and they thought it was the lift pump that wasn't working. My son is a Diesel Mechanic and I called my son at work and had him talk to your Mechanic and told him to start by replacing the fuel filters. I was told that she could pick up the motorhome later that day after they got it running. Later that afternoon I received a call saying that the starter wasn't working now and so needed permission to replace the starter. They still hadn't replaced the fuel filter so your mechanic didn't follow the instructions he was given. So as a result it is the mechanic's mistake that he took it upon himself to continue using the starter and ignoring instructions given by son. The starter was probably already damaged from the day before at this point anyway. I personally believe that he did not follow standard operating procedure of not running the starter for more than a maximum of 30 seconds and then waiting 2 minutes for the starter to cool before trying again as stated by Pearson Education Careers Item 1. Footnotes and Monaco Executive Manuel Item 2. Footnotes THE BOTTOM LINE IS: The mechanic or staff at Camper's World should pay for the Starter. The next problem I will address now is that Camper's World did not maintain the minimum charge to the house batteries as required to not damage the batteries. The batteries were so low that the panel to turn on the inverter was inoperative. I spoke to Monaco Technical Support and they told me that he was surprised that the batteries would even take a charge at all if the batteries are run down that much. The coach can charge all batteries but I was told by Ken that in the process of painting in your shop they had to turn off all power in the coach. There are 2 shut off switches in this motorhome as described in the operating manual. The first one and the one that causes the least amount of trouble is located at the door but it doesn't shut off all power from the house batteries in the coach. The second one or if the house batteries were disconnected then when power is restored the clock has to be reset so the generator will come on automatically when the charge in the house batteries are below the set point to protect the batteries. This was not done by your technicians. The other problem the inverter turns off when the power is shut off and needs to be reprogramed to charge and to run electrical in the coach. Note: The inverter requires at least 8.5 Volts DC to operate the internal "brain." I had checked with Cummins in Boise about getting a starter and they quoted at the time of $370.00 for a remanufactured starter model 3675293RX. Ken told me the price for a starter he could supply would be over $500.00, but when Linda told them the price from cummins was $370.00 he said he could match that price, so your mechanic installed the starter you were supplying but your place wanted another $300.00 to $400.00 to install the fuel filters so Linda from what had happened she had no confidence in your mechanic and decided to have her son install the fuel filters. Campers World then pushed the motorhome out on your lot with dead house batteries as explained above. Ken came to the rescue and hooked up a battery charger so we could get the generator started. I left when the generator started. The inverter was turned off so I had to program the inverter to charge the batteries. The generator ran from that night till the next afternoon (charging batteries) when James arrived to install the fuel filter which he did, and it was the primary fuel filter that was the problem. with the new primary fuel filter replaced the motorhome started and was driven away to his place to replace the secondary filter the next day. A wire had been left dangling from the rear of the coach which your mechanic had left hanging. This shop has no idea how to handle a large motorhome. Only bring them small gas motorhomes if you dare. They will do nothing about this so the message that they will respond with is only to make you think they will help. They will not Do anything about this. They should pay for the starter and replace the house batteries at no charge. read more

I went with my son to buy a new trailer and my son told the financial manager that he likes camping because he is a disabled veteran and he can stay for free in Oregon camp sites. I was shocked when the manager said you don't look disabled to me and then told us a story about some college football players that lied and got disabled parking permits. My son went through a lot of things in 2003-2004 when he was in Iraq. And I was stunned that he said those things. But that was not all by a long shot. He kept pressuring him to buy this damn insurance. I finally had to say to this clown how many times do we have to say no. But there was more to come they raised the price $2000 from the agreed upon price for the trailer $13999. And oddly enough the $13999 is on the website. So we had to spend 30 min to straighten this out . I would stay away from this place they are rude slippery liars. read more

We pulled into the Meridian KOA to find that our weight distribution system had Broken at the chassis. For some reason and in spite of driving right by it on freeway, Camping World was not top of mind for a fix. After more than half a dozen attempts on Sunday and Memorial Day morning I called and spoke to Jeremy who was professional and quick on his feet. Said come on over and we will take a look. He and service mgr Scott quickly assessed that it was fixable but would take a custom solution. Both were positive, confidant and kind. In less than two hours we were back on the road to Yellowstone and our vacation was saved. Thank you Jeremy, Scott and the whole service team at Camping World! The service department at Camping World is among the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They do not return phone calls or emails in a timely manner (like 2-4 days later), I have had to drive down there multiple times to show them problems with my coach after their service department could not locate the issue and was treated like I was ignorant and didn't know what I was talking about multiple times. On top of that, while I was in the service area waiting to pick up my coach, their service manager could be heard cussing and yelling at someone on the phone about an employee bringing a dog to work. How unprofessional! I purchased my coach in June and they are still working on warranty work. On the other hand, their sales department is top notch! What a horrible place. It started bad and has stayed that way since. I showed up looking for a trailer and the "salesman" decided that it was far more important to play on his phone. Then he had no idea how much the trailer I liked cost and was truly offended that I wanted him to find out the price. I left there and let the corporate office know about the issues and now they are passing my contact information around the office like it's a joint. Just know that there is a far better place right next door and they do not treat customers like crap. read more
