I've been a loyal Ashley customer for over 15 years -- starting with a mattress that lasted 10+ years. I recently purchased another mattress with a 90-day comfort guarantee that was explained to me in store. I followed every instruction, waited more than the 30-day break-in period, and then requested an exchange because the mattress caused severe back pain requiring a doctor visit. Despite the written guarantee, I was first told I couldn't exchange due to timing -- then given conflicting information by multiple reps. I submitted photos and proof online, received a claim number, and then was told someone had to inspect the mattress -- a requirement not disclosed in the paperwork and later denied by the manufacturer (Tempur-Pedic). Every call has resulted in confusion, delays, and promises of follow-up that never happen. I've been left with a mattress that harms my health, no resolution, and the prospect of waiting weeks for an exchange -- all while being told I must pay a $100 fee and any price difference. We purchased a recliner couch/loveseat set from them. Within a few months, we were having issues with the loveseat. A technician came out 4 times and finally decided the item was unrepairable and would need to be replaced. For almost a year, we have been dealing with Ashley customer service. They keep saying they're going to "escalate" the problem and then never get back to us. We've personally gone into the store, sent numerous emails, have spoken to multiple customer service reps, and been told they would escalate it all the way up to corporate who will look into the issue. They refuse to give me direct numbers or alternate ways to reach out to corporate myself (the information is on the internet). Do NOT buy from Ashley Furniture. Promises unkept ! Store says one thing delivery service another. Purchased a recliner sight unseen. A special order. Saleman told us that once it was delivered we had the option of keeping or declining. delivery personnel told us we had 72 hours to refuse. Customer service told us they'd get back to us. Never happened. Now that the window has closed we have no option. We answered all of their questions exactly and on time. Never any response since then. Terrible in all aspects of being in business. I cannot say anything good about this company. We did plan on making additional purchases until this happened. Maybe my opinion is not what they'd like but truth be told it's honest. I was told that Dec. 20th 2024, somebody used my charge card online and ordered furniture. Supposedly it was delivered to my home. That never happened. I'm a disabled cripple at home, and I do not order anything online. I disputed the charge ($648.00 up to $1848.00 now) and it was "investigated" by Ashley. They're still charging me . They cannot tell me what was ordered and they refuse to show me delivery proof of signature. It is obviously a mistake or inside job. I I refuse to pay for something I do not have. Kuna, Idaho. We had a manufacturers defect on a cushion with a product we purchased. It took us over 4 months of calling, going in and leaving messages. The store manager lied straight to our faces a couple of times. They sent us on wild goose chases knowing full well that we could not get it resolved the way they said we could. We were finally able to resolve the matter with them, but only because we fought tooth and nail, and kept very detailed records of every single interaction with them. We will NEVER shop at the Boise Ashley's store again. So disappointing. This was by far the worst customer service I've experienced. This is an uncomfortable place to shop. We came in here to look at couches to just see, feel, talk through what we were looking for. Immediately someone approached us to make sure we didn't have questions. We were kind and said, we are fine, we are just looking. The sales associate proceeded to follow us, engaging in our private conversations and all while sitting one couch away no matter where we went. It felt like we were being stalked. Everywhere we went, she was there too, following, engaging, and totally ruining the experience for us. We decided not to get a couch here because of the ineffective and invasive sales approach. And it looks like from other reviews, we are not alone. I wish I had read reviews prior to coming into the store. Had I known I would be stalked by the sales associate the whole time (30-45 minutes of her looming), I would have waited in the car. We ended up making a game of it, just to get through it. This company is run by incompetent ignorant people. I made several calls to remove myself from their mailing list and each person told me "we don't do that here, call..." How complicated is it to remove someone from a mailing list??? I ended up using a magnifying glass to comb through the mailer to find (in probably a size 0 font) how to unsubscribe. If I could give them several minus 0 stars I would. We purchase what we thought was a good quality dining room set two years ago (Meridian, Idaho store). Quality is terrible after two years of gentle use. I will never make another purchase from them. Save your money and headaches and go somewhere else. Terrible quality furniture at horrifically inflated prices. All four stools broke within five months. Spent hours jumping through hoops and sending pictures to try and redeem our extremely expensive warrantee, only to have Ashley's deny that the stools were broken, even though the foot rests were completely separated and sheered off and two of the stools seats broke off completely. read more

If I could give it no ratings I would. Absolute worst experience of my retail life! Do not even think of going to Ashley's in meridian. They lied to me for over 4 months about my order. I took many days off work waiting for the delivery truck and they never showed up twice. After 4 months they finally showed up and my sofa was damaged. I was told I should keep it and they could have someone repair it!!! I'm going to spend $3,000 on something broken and I'm going to hope that you're just going to have someone repair it??? Dealing with Mike, the manager on the multitude and plethora of issues that I had was a joke. I would have to write a novel of all the terrible and outrageous things that happened in my experience. It's not worth it to save a few bucks. Go to a reputable, decent place like Bassett. After my horror show at Ashley's I went to Bassett in meridian and the manager chance took pity on me and worked magic to get me what I needed as soon as possible. And may I say the quality at Bassett is exceptional. I had assumed the price would be triple but not so It was a bit more, true but the quality is exceptional and the service was everything I hoped for Ashley's in meridian should be ashamed of themselves and how they treated me and my entire experience. We had a family emergency that we had to cancel our order because there was nobody home to sign for it. We came to the store to talk with the manager so he could cancel it, we said we weren't able to sign so we canceled and he said everything was good already. We came back and they told us that we could get the same couch just apply again and the new person who helped us told us that the manager named Mick Magnesum had wrote that we weren't able to sign for delivery because we were moving to mexico and nowhere in the conversation was mentioned the word mexico. As we are Mexican this was very insulting to us because we found it very insulting and racist. I went here last weekend because I am on the market for new furniture for my teenage daughters room. I was on their website and seen they have 0% if you get approved for a CC and I got approved! I start shopping online and I realize there is a store close to home. I saw some dressers and wanted to go and look at the dimensions in person. I walk into the store, and it's not busy. I notice a few workers huddled up in a meeting and I'm walking around the store hoping someone would acknowledge me cause I have some questions and I am ready to purchase. No one greets me. We had a sofa delivered and assembled and the delivery crew scratched and damaged our brand new floors we just had installed a month ago. Furthermore, when they slid the couch across the room, they took a chunk out of one of the legs. They FaceTimed their supervisor who took a look at the damage and said, "sorry." She told me to get a quote from our installer to fix the four planks that were damaged and she would call me the following day. I never heard from her even after waiting a week and Ashley refused to give me the company's name or contact info which is extremely shady. We reached out to Ashley who said if they don't make this right we will discount the sofa to compensate and will send a tech out to fix the sofa leg damage. We never heard back from them. We reached out 2 more times and actually got a call back this morning. They offered a measly $50 for the floor damage, which doesn't even cover the cost of one box of planks let alone the labor cost. God forbid their "third party delivery company" damages anyone else's home because Ashley only cares about making the sale and nothing after. read more

We purchased a sectional December 2021. We also purchased the very expensive 5 year extended warranty since we have pets. There is an area that is unraveling on the seam of the chaise, both sides. Clearly a defect. We've only had it a little over a year. Shouldn't be unraveling. Thankfully we have the super, awesome warranty to fix it, right?!?! WRONG!! I was told by the gentleman on the phone that Ashley sends there repairs to that it wasn't covered. However, if I stained it or burned it with a cigarette they could repair it. Funny, the guy sold us the sectional and warranty he said that since we have dogs we definitely needed it in case they scratched a hole in it. That's a complete LIE!! I recently purchased new chairs from this location. The chairs were delivered assembled. All of them are really wobbly. One of them looks like it was used. The seat is faded and there's a stain on the arm rest. To add to this, I didn't appreciate the sales tactics used in the store. Our salesperson insisted that we buy the white glove delivery instead of assembling the chairs ourselves. I did not want this m, but was told that I could only buy them in increments of 2 if I did not want the delivery. Since we were buying 3 chairs, this was basically a requirement. So we paid $100 for this delivery which makes the fact that they are not in good condition even more frustrating. A tech is coming to fix or replace them. I will update this review based on the outcome of that visit. Update: I've changed my review from 1 to 3 stars. Ashley Furniture gave me a full refund for the three chairs. I didn't go higher for a couple reasons. First, I had to deliver the chairs myself to their warehouse which was pretty far away. I think they should have picked them up. I also still don't like the sales tactic of requiring the added cost of their assembly and delivery. I could have assembled them myself, but wasn't able to do that unless I ordered in increments of two. At least that's what the salesman said. read more

My boyfriend & I are in the process of buying a house and were in desperate need of new bedroom set. We popped in around 8pm (an hour before closing), greeted by Pattie within minutes! She started by taking us around the store to get a feel of what we were looking for & began showing us what was on the floor. She was so PATIENT. That night she stayed until close to 10pm (an hour after closing). By the end of the night, we ended up walking away to sleep on things. She told us it was OK to be unsure. She reassured us that she would rather us come back multiple times than settling for something we were unhappy with. We went back to see her the next day and we were given once again her full undivided attention. We solidified our bedroom set & moved into the mattress corner. She spent over an hour finding us the perfect mattress that suited both our needs. She made us comfortable with blankets and pillows so we could really get the feel of the bed. Unfortunately this will be another one star review that is so similar to the others. Bad on us for not doing our research first. Came in and found a coffee table we liked and was needed in the next week. We were NOT harassed by the sales people when we came in. In fact, we had to go seek one out to make the purchase. Like all the other reviews, we were told it was in stock locally, available to be picked up in the next couple days, and we would be contacted by the warehouse. Well that never happened. Looking at the emailed order confirmation it showed that the shipping date was a week later than the date we were told we could pick it up. So that date came and went with no communication from anyone. We call customer service to find that the warehouse never had our item in the first place and the pickup date was pushed out another three weeks. That wasn't going to work. I went back into the store to cancel the order and was told only the manager could help me and they were not available at the time, even though they came out and talked to someone else that came into the store after I did. Whatever. They took my name and number and said I would be contacted, which they eventually did but was several days later. In the meantime, we called customer service and they canceled the order and refunded our money. Thankfully, that process was painless. We got our coffee table from DeMeyer furniture and were able to go next door and pick it up right away. No hassles. And it was an Ashley brand and half the price. Joke's on you, Ashley. Not sure if the salesman was just telling us that the item was in stock when it wasn't just to make a sale (commissioned, I'm sure) or if their computer is wrong or what. But with so many bad reviews about this same exact situation, you'd think they'd want to figure shit out. read more

No refund. I called again and stated I wanted a refund. Said they would. Now, today, they said they will not give me a refund. Only a discount on future purchases. HORRIBLE after sale experience. Sure they are friendly and helpful before you buy, but then you will never talk to a live person again. They delayed our order three times over a period of 3 months. They kept saying it was backordered, then promised a delivery date of 12/31. Then they called and said it was backordered with a new date of 1/1. I asked another phone troll why it was backordered one day and they said it was a schedule issue with the delivery service. I asked if the other people were lying and he just kept repeating that he was sorry for any inconvenience. I asked for a number to the store and they gave me one that was inoperable. I will NEVER do business with Ashley or this store ever again. This nightmare started the first part of September when I purchased a bedroom set. Salesman Richard told me that it was on back order and I would receive it in 4-6 weeks. 2 months later mid November, I was notified that part of my shipment was available for delivery but the bed would not be delivered until 12/27. The person on the phone clearly did not care about the delay and was not helpful. I went to the Meridian store and personally talked to the manager and his response was apologetic but that bed was a popular item. He also told me that he had a meeting he had to get to and would call me the next day with an update. He never did. Guess I'm not important enough to rate a call back despite spending close to $6000 for bedroom set and mattress. Now I get a call telling me that they won't be able to deliver it until January 22. Again the heavily accented person on the phone could care less and they gave me an option to rate the call which for some reason I was disconnected before I could do so Bottom line is Ashley Furniture only cares about the money not customer satisfaction or even follow through. I will go to RC Wiley from now on for my furniture needs. They may be a bit more expensive that Ashley but they care about customer service and follow up read more
