We went to 9 different furniture stores, spent 5+ hours shopping, and dealing with associates who were backed up or didn't know their own inventory. We stumbled upon this place as I was leaving RC Willys almost ready to give up hope. Thank god. Chad was knowledgeable, knew his inventory like the back of his hand, was polite, and knew how to work with tight spaces. That being said, the furniture speaks for itself too! There are no, " furniture sets" so put you're creative hat on, and enjoy Chad's company. I will close by saying this. Originally the sectional we wanted was back ordered for months but Josh was able to get us on a pre-order and it ended up coming a month before they promised. Delivery was great, the company called me to schedule a time and they came in and put the whole sectional together for us. This sectional was an amazing price for how large, sturdy and comfortable it is. Its modern design alone is worth a lot more than $4k. We also ordered a dining table and picked it up at their Boise location. I was able to come at the scheduled time and they helped load it into my truck. The dining table is also high quality and has held up nicely around my three crazy boys. Thank you so much Scandinavian Design for helping us find affordable furniture without sacrificing on quality. The nightstand, which was $300 (w tax), was crooked and wobbly. They ordered a replacement and scheduled a delivery, which never happened. They didn't call/notify me, so after waiting at home all day for it to arrive, I had to call them. They totally ignored the fact that they botched the delivery and then told me I had to bring it back to the store to exchange it for another one. After hauling the warped nightstand back to the store, then assembling it at home, the new one has the exact same problem. Their only solution is for me to wait another week for another one to arrive, bring the defective one back again and get another one, even though it's pretty obvious that the furniture has a factory defect. So now they are just wasting my time instead of fixing the issue. If it were cheap furniture, I would just give up and keep the defective nightstand. But I refuse to pay almost $300 for defective furniture, and the only solution is just more inconvenience and time spent on getting another defective product. Very poor customer service. I will NEVER BUY FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN. The furniture is horrible quality and the customer service is terrible, especially for furniture that isn't exactly inexpensive.

DESIGN PROFESSIONALS STAFF & GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE: Although we gave it a good try thanks to the help of one of the designers, Jamie who has been in the design industry and knows her stuff as well as the Bassett inventory, we couldn't find the right fit of style and fabric combined. But we appreciated the bright large space with ample space to navigate around the items on display as well as the handy design center with fabric samples...custom carpet corner pieces too...and that we could take home large fabric 'memo samples' to look at in our space. The young owner-manager, Chance, models top notch customer care, also weighed in to answer a question that Jamie wanted his help to answer for me. And his looking out for customers was also so for all the store employees. THEIR NICHE & AUDIENCE: The Bassett brand is on the mid range, maybe lower mid range, in prices and for what it is the quality seems very good with customization available in some pieces for wood finishes, fabrics and cushion fills. Some pieces are bench made in the U.S. They offer custom dining table sizes sometimes only found in higher price brands. Every time, the gals on the floor are mildly friendly at best and definitely pretty pushy. The last time I was in, I asked about a piece I'd seen awhile back that I now have room for and was interested in. The oldest and rudest of the ladies that work there abruptly told me it was discontinued, and that she'd remembered seeing me in before (with the tone and subtext of "and have never bought anything"). I continued to explain to her that I was actually looking to make a purchase and again mentioned my interest in the "discontinued" lounge chair. She then took my email down and said she'd send me info on the chair or something similar, but of course never did. I'd love to give my business to a local luxury furniture store - but with that attitude and shite customer service... I'll just continue to order online from CB2, Industry West, Arhaus, Maiden Home .... literally anywhere else. Comparable in price and sexiness, but skip the nasty.
